Harry Redknapp's £5million mansion 'is hit by a masked gang': Thugs raid home and flee with wife Sandra's jewellery
The former Premier League manager and his wife Sandra, both 78, were out when a gang broke into their home last Friday, The Sun reports.
The hammer-clad gang allegedly took jewellery belonging to Sandra, as well as other luxury items.
A source told The Sun: 'It was clearly organised. The raiders must have known the house was empty.'
It is feared that the thugs may have checked out the layout of the house, which is understood to be for sale, on a property website ad.
The house is located near Dorset beach resort Sandbanks, where properties are among the most expensive in the world per square foot.
The thieves, who were brandishing lump hammers and a sledgehammer to break the front door open, were captured on CCTV scouring through the property.
'They were caught on CCTV cameras breaking in and trying to ransack the property looking for valuables', the source added.
'It was clearly organised and they must have known the house was empty at the time.'
Harry was reportedly attending a function on the night of the break-in, while Sandra was in London.
Cops confirmed yesterday they were still hunting down the thieves.
Daily Mail has approached Harry's representatives and Dorset Police for comment.
The property is currently on sale, while the couple's new seaside villa at Sandbanks is completed.
They moved into their current £7million home in 2021 after a lack of privacy.
The former Tottenham and West Ham manager and his wife splashed out on their new waterside home on the exclusive peninsula and replaced the six bedroom detached house with a luxury three-storey villa built in 'a traditional Italianate architectural style'.
Harry who won I'm A Celebrity in 2018, and his wife, have owned homes on spectacularly expensive Sandbanks or in Poole for over two decades.
They bought one of the finest homes on Sandbanks - a mock Tudor mansion overlooking the entrance to the harbour – for £3m in 2001.
Harry and Sandra are said to have sold the property for £6.9m in 2015 and moved to a brand new £4m mansion five bedroom beachside property just around the corner.
They reportedly left the modern glass-fronted property on Sandbanks because they wanted more privacy after getting fed up with tourists staring at their home.

Criminal gangs who advertise small boat crossings across the English Channel or fake passports online could spend up to five years behind bars under new legislation. Ministers are looking to create a new offence under the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill already going through Parliament in an attempt to crackdown on criminal gangs promoting Channel crossings on the Internet, The Mirror reports. Under the proposed law, offenders could receive a prison sentence of up to five years and a hefty fine. Assisting illegal migration is already a crime, but officials hope the changes will give more powers to police to disrupt criminal gangs. Around 80 percent of migrants arriving to the UK by small boats say they used social media to find someone associated with a criminal gang who could smuggle them into the country. According to the Home Office, many of those who make the perilous crossings across the Channel are sold a 'false narrative' about their ability to live and work in the UK. 'Selling the false promise of a safe journey to the UK and a life in this country – whether on or offline – simply to make money, is nothing short of immoral,' Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said. 'These criminals have no issue with leading migrants to life-threatening situations using brazen tactics on social media. We are determined to do everything we can to stop them – wherever they operate.' Ministers are looking to create a new offence under the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill already going through Parliament The potential new measure comes the Government announced last week that members of people-smuggling gangs who send migrants across the Channel in flimsy boars will face financial sanctions. The new powers target smugglers and those who supply them with money and equipment. Foreign Secretary David Lammy said the measures are 'the world's first sanctions regime targeted at gangs involved in people smuggling and driving irregular migration, as well as their enablers.' Those in breach of the rules can have UK assets seized, be barred from using British banks and be banned from entering Britain. The government said the new rules are authorised by existing sanctions legislation. British lawmakers won't get a chance to debate them until they return from a summer break in September. Strictly Come Dancing: BBC responds as two TV stars accused of taking cocaine
The BBC has responded after it was reported that two Strictly Come Dancing stars have been accused of taking cocaine. The broadcaster is said to have hired an external law firm to probe the drug-taking allegations, which a source said were "well-known" on the show, The Sun on Sunday reports. The claims were reportedly made on behalf of celebrity contestant Wynne Evans in a legal submission to the BBC in March. In response, a BBC spokesperson told Sky News: "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. "It would not be appropriate for us to comment further." Sky News understands that it is not unusual for the BBC to engage an external individual to provide additional expert resource to help deliver a BBC-led investigation. In these cases, they would report to an established BBC team. The allegations published in The Sun on Sunday include a source saying that one Strictly star had told another about a third celebrity on the show: "Have you seen their pupils... they're off their face." "The BBC have known about these allegations for some time, and acknowledged receiving them. Now they are taking firm action," the source reportedly said. The two individuals accused of drug taking have not been named. It is the latest crisis to hit the BBC and Strictly. In July last year, Amanda Abbington accused Strictly dancer Giovanni Pernice of "abusive or threatening behaviour". The actress, who was paired with Pernice, withdrew from the show in 2023. The BBC upheld "some, but not all" of the allegations, with Abbington describing an apology from the corporation as a "vindication", while Pernice denied displaying "abusive or threatening behaviour". In the same month, Strictly professional dancer, Graziano Di Prima confirmed he was leaving the show amid reports of alleged misconduct. Separately, Laura Whitmore alleged "inappropriate behaviour" during her time on the show.
