Michael Jordan's son reveals he reconnected with his dad after nearly breaking over 100 days of sobriety
Marcus Jordan has revealed the deaths of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan and actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner prompted him to reconnect with his dad this week after he nearly broke 107 days of sobriety. The troubled son of NBA great Michael Jordan, who sought help for alcohol and drug abuse earlier this year after his arrest for DUI and cocaine possession, was left devastated by the passing of two icons of his childhood, he said on Instagram. Hogan died at the age of 71 on Thursday following a cardiac arrest at his home in Florida, three days after Warner, 54, tragically lost his life after drowning while on vacation in Costa Rica. 'Went THRU IT yesterday, realizing that 2 icons of my childhood passed this week,' Marcus, 34, wrote on his Instagram story. 'Reached out to both my parents & my siblings, cuz life is short and it's important to spend time with the people you love'. Marcus has not been spotted publicly with legendary father Michael since they watched the Super Bowl together in February 2024, though it is unclear if they have been estranged since then. Marcus says the deaths of Hulk Hogan and Malcolm-Jamal Warner prompted him to reach out The six-time NBA champion did not approve of his son's relationship with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of his former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen who is 16 years his senior, a video obtained by revealed in 2023. That on-off romance did not last long, however, with Marcus and Larsa going their separate ways for good last year before MJ's son sparked concern with his wild partying and drug use in public. Back in March Marcus announced that he was 40 days sober after seeking help for his drink and drug problems, and he admits his current stretch of over 100 days almost came to an end following the news of Hogan and Warner's deaths. 'Caught a SERIOUS case of the "fck it's" & almost had a drink... It was disheartening realizing how the "fun" has been stripped from social media,' he continued in his Instagram message. 'It used to be 'OK' to be weird and have opinions on social media, to learn from mistakes publicly. Now it's been so normalized to 'fit' a certain mold or into society 2? 'And people wonder why MFs keep their thoughts to themselves these days... It shouldn't have to be that way. And luckily for me, I have plenty of friends and family who raised me right & love me? But my heart breaks for the people that aren't as fortunate'. Marcus ended the post by proudly confirming: '107 Days Sober & Counting'. He also shared a series of photos and videos of both Warner and Hogan to confirm they were the 'two icons' he was referencing. Larsa, who is a star on The Real Housewives of Miami, opened up on their split during the show's season seven premiere last month. Looking back on her on-and-off involvement with Marcus, the 50-year-old revealed her four children gave her the strength to finally call it quits with him last year. 'When I was with Marcus, my kids were like, "Stop getting back together and breaking up, and just get off the ride." That's when I was like, I need to get away from the situation — my kids think that it's not good for me,' she shared during a conversation with her mom. 'We went from really being in love, getting along, to me seeing a side of him that didn't really align with who I am as a person,' she added. 'When we would go out, he would like to be the very last person in the club. Like, I mean, there's no one there but the janitors.'

Woman who lives on cruise ship reveals top ‘gross' habit she sees from guests
After living on a cruise ship for six months out of the year, a woman has pointed out the most disgusting habit she has seen from her fellow passengers. Christine Kesteloo, a 44-year-old business owner and content creator on TikTok, recently spoke to Unilad about what she notices when she is aboard the ship with her husband, who works as a chief staff engineer. While she told the publication that living on a cruise ship 'feels like a constant vacation,' she did admit that everything is not sunshine and rainbows. 'As far as gross [parts], I don't like when guests go to the buffet directly after the gym, [and] don't wash their hands,' Kesteloo said. Despite the drawback, the TikToker pointed out that she mostly enjoys her cruise life, noting that her ship only carries 1,400 passengers compared to larger and more commercial ships that house at least 5,000 people. 'Most of the 'myths' you have heard about cruise ships are wrong,' Kesteloo added. 'Yes, I do drink the water, and no, you can't fall overboard unless you are doing something you shouldn't. Cruising is safe.' However, the best part of living on a cruise ship, according to her, is the extra perks. 'I have been to 109 countries. I also don't have to pay for petrol, food, make my bed, do my laundry, or clean my room,' she said. Kesteloo also noted in an interview with The Mirror that every time she and her husband are on the ship, they stay in 'the best cabin in the whole entire ship.' The only amenity she does not take advantage of is the boat's casino. 'I am not allowed to sit at a slot machine and play my heart until I win because it would look a little weird if I, as the wife of the chief staff engineer, won like a big jackpot. So I am not allowed to gamble on the ship,' she said. And because her husband is an employee on the ship, she tries to ensure the guests are given priority over her. 'If the pool is packed, I make sure to get off and give the guests a seat, it's just the right thing to do,' Kesteloo said. 'I totally understand how to give guests the best time, and I don't think a crew member taking their seat is the right thing to do.'
