Taylor Swift Files Restraining Order Against a Man After Fearing For Safety
USA Today shared key details from Taylor Swift's restraining order filing against her alleged stalker. Reportedly, the individual in question, Brian Jason Wagner, visited her house several times over a year, with the first instance dating back to July 9, 2024. He then returned twice that same month. More recently, Wagner made two consecutive appearances on May 21 and May 22, and asked to see Swift 'personally' after 'stating that he was there checking on a friend (again, this is entirely untrue).'
In her petition to the court, the Grammy winner revealed that she had been living in 'a fear of imminent harm.' She alleged that Wagner repeatedly visited her house and engaged in 'concerning and threatening' conversations with her staff, prompting her to file for the protective order. Swift further mentioned that she has never 'publicly' revealed the location of her Los Angeles home or address. Therefore, Wagner's repeated visits, refusal to leave, and claims of needing access make her 'fear for my safety and the safety of my family.'
Taylor Swift's alleged stalker also made false claims about sharing a personal relationship and a son with her. Moreover, the restraining order filings stated that Wagner made disturbing statements during his visits. These falsified comments included claims about 'living' at her LA property, sharing a 'relationship' with her, and 'believing' she was his son's mother. Swift called these 'untrue and disconnected from reality.' Her claims also mentioned the staff receiving hundreds of emails from him.
Swift's restraining order ensures her safety and prohibits Wagner from 'harassing, stalking, assaulting, or disturbing' her. Additionally, it prevents him from communicating or coming within 100 yards of the pop star, her home, her vehicle, and her workplace. The order will remain effective through the court hearing on June 30.

Here's everything to know about the late Nick Cordero and his relationship with the dancer. Cordero was born and raised in the west end of Hamilton, Ontario, a city southwest of Toronto. His mother was originally from Canada, while his father originated from Costa Rica. Following high school at Westdale Secondary, Cordero attended Toronto Metropolitan University, which is known for its arts programs. After two years studying acting, he dropped out to pursue music full time with his band Lovemethod. The group eventually separated, and Cordero returned to acting. While Cordero had television and film roles, his main place was in the theater. In Canada, he acted in Tony & Tina's Wedding, The Last Five Years, Equus, Blood Brothers and Fiddler On The Roof. On the small screen, Cordero worked on Queer As Folk and Brothers before relocating to N.Y.C. in the mid-2000s. Per The New York Times, Cordero's 'big break' came in 2014 with a musical adaptation of Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway. Cordero played Cheech, a tap-dancing gangster. It was this role that scored him a Tony nomination. Following Bullets, Cordero played the title character's husband in Waitress, as well as a mobster in A Bronx Tale. Bullets Over Broadway not only earned Cordero a Tony nomination, but it was also how he met his wife. Kloots, a dancer for the show, was married when she met Cordero. 'We were friends first and then fell in love,' she wrote on Instagram. After years of knowing each other, they married on Sept. 3, 2017. 'We really wanted a nighttime classic NYC wedding,' Kloots told BRIDES. The pair married at The Skylark, a cocktail lounge in Midtown. 'We both have worked on Broadway, so being just south of Times Square, 30 floors up, right in the middle of the skyscrapers, seemed so perfect!' she added. Kloots and Cordero had 70 guests in attendance, many of them Broadway performers. In March 2020, during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cordero caught the virus, resulting in his hospitalization. In the wake of Cordero's death, Pugh shared a video of him singing and wrote: 'My friend Nick Cordero passed this morning, holding hands with all his loved ones. Him and his wife @amandakloots have been fighting extremely hard for 90 days.' She ended with a call to 'take this virus seriously,' adding, 'Wear your mask, respect others' space, clean your hands and please be safe.' The extreme flooding of the Guadalupe River resulted in an overnight evacuation of nearby Camp Mystic, a local summer camp, where multiple girls have gone missing. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said 23 of Camp Mystic's 750 campers are unaccounted for, according to ABC affiliate Eyewitness News. Two suspects served with warrants for felony murder, assault in Oglethorpe Mall shooting
The Savannah Police Department has obtained "several warrants," including for felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault, for two suspects in the July 2 Oglethorpe Mall shooting, according to an SPD press release. Those suspects are currently hospitalized at Memorial Health University Medical Center, where they were transported after the shooting. The individuals will be taken into custody and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center upon release from the hospital, the press release said. Other warrants served to the suspects, who are both under 18 years old, include possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18 and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime. It is expected the suspects will await formal charges from the Chatham County District Attorney upon arrival at the detention center, the press release said. 'The Savannah Police Department intends to hold all those involved in this senseless crime accountable to the fullest extent of the law,' said SPD Chief Lenny Gunther. Recent news: One person dead due to heart complications "exacerbated" by Oglethorpe Mall shooting The arrest warrants mark a major breakthrough in the still ongoing investigation, which began Wednesday evening after the shooting occurred. SPD said names and identities of "those involved" in the shooting will not be released at this time in order to "preserve the investigation," the press release said. Chatham County District Attorney Shalena Cook Jones said Thursday the case would take "highest priority" once the "baton is passed" to her office from local law enforcement. She also promised to bring the "full weight" of the law on those responsible for the shooting. The first fatality related to the shooting was announced Friday morning. Olislene 'Tina' Smith died around midnight, late July 3 or early July 4 due to heart complications exacerbated by the incident. Smith was one of three individuals transported to Memorial for non-gunshot-wounds related medical complications. Three other individuals were taken to the hospital with gunshot-related wounds. The expected charges come after SPD initially signaled Thursday it would bring underage firearm possession charges on two individuals. Later Thursday, SPD detectives decided not to peruse those charges at that time. Announcement of the warrants came with additional charges, including for felony murder and aggravated assault.
