General Hospital spoilers: Alexis, Kristina and Ric… who's headed to prison?
While we've been incredibly frustrated by General Hospital's tawdry romance storyline between Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), we've managed to reserve some frustration for Kristina's (Kate Mansi) failed murder plot against Ava (Maura West) and the subsequent cover-up and manipulation.
Not only did Kristina foolishly try to cut Ava's brakes to kill the art gallery owner, only to cut the brakes of Ric's (Rick Hearst) car instead and nearly kill him and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), but then Ava decided to use this whole ordeal as a money grab with Ric's seal of approval.
Ava went to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and blackmailed the attorney into foolishly embezzling from the Cassadine estate (money belonging to baby Ace) to fund Ava and Ric's lifestyles, all in an effort to keep Kristina from going to prison. Additionally, Alexis has professed to wanting to keep Molly (Krsten Vaganos) in the dark about her sister almost killing her father, hoping to preserve the Davis sisterhood.
So, just recapping all of this. Kristina has attempted murder. Alexis, Ric and Ava are all guilty of embezzlement. Ava is also guilty of tampering with evidence, given that she hid Ric's car and took the parking garage footage of her building. Oh, and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) aptly pointed out in the General Hospital episode that aired on June 2, he's an accessory after the fact to attempted murder, given he learned what Kristina did the night of the car crash. With that being said, it would seem everyone in this scenario has put themselves in danger of being arrested, tried and convicted.
Should writers try and make sure some justice is served as it pertains to this storyline, the question is who would wind up paying the price? If we had to guess, there's a good chance Kristina may wind up confessing to attempted murder, but stress she was not in the right frame of mind.
Although Alexis warned her daughter not to do this, Kristina may grow tired of seeing her mother compromise her own freedom and law license. Then, to make sure Alexis doesn't go to prison for embezzlement, Kristina may bring Michael (Rory Gibson) up to speed and borrow a few million to replenish the money Alexis stole from the Cassadine estate.
If Kristina is somehow spared, then we think Alexis could wind up going back to prison. At this point, it would almost serve Alexis right to be dragged into police custody. Had she just done what Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) told her to do and have Kristina committed to a mental health facility in an attempt to establish a possible winnable defense in court for her child, things may not have snowballed this far.
Ultimately, though, if Alexis is arrested in the near future, she may claim to have cut the brakes herself and then committed embezzlement to keep Ava and Ric quiet, just to spare Kristina a prison stint. Alexis may feel she can possibly mount a defense to have the charges dropped should the case go to trial.
After all, Spinelli may be able to make sure the parking garage video goes away for good, and Diane could have the actual car tossed as evidence, given Ava tampered with it. Additionally, Alexis may be able to convince Laura (Genie Francis) to drop any future embezzlement charges by telling the truth.
For now, our guess that either Kristina or Alexis will be adorning silver 'bracelets' soon is just a hunch we have. But we sincerely hope this whole car crash storyline finds some resolution soon. By the way, whoever is arrested and however the truth comes out, the news is bound to infuriate Molly.

Trump Curses as White House Faith Office Lunch Takes Bizarre Turn
Things got a bit awkward during the White House Faith Office luncheon on Monday. Not only did President Donald Trump curse in front of faith leaders—calling Biden-era indictments against him 'bulls--t'—he raged that he he had been investigated more than the gangster Al Capone, bragged he has 'always made money,' and incorrectly claimed gas prices are the lowest they have been in 50 years. Those topics did not appear to be part of Trump's prepared remarks. As he addressed assembled religious business leaders from the podium, he looked down occasionally at his speech but went off on tangents as he worked his way through the text. 'I've ended the radical left war on faith, and we're once again protecting religious freedom instead of destroying it, and God is once again welcomed back into our public square,' Trump said, clearly part of his prepared remarks. Trump, 79, compared himself to Capone moments later. He characterized the notorious gangster, believed to have murdered over 200 people, as 'great.' 'I was under investigation more than the late, great, Alphonse Capone,' Trump said. 'Think of it. Al Capone would kill people for dinner. If he left the room and he didn't like him, he'd have him shot, killed, buried under a building someplace, as part of the foundation of a building. They're all over the place, and I said I had more time under investigation than the legendary Alphonse Capone, or probably anybody else.' Trump then misremembered that he had been indicted four times in 2023, not five. 'The one thing I did that was very helpful, I was indicted five times. Indicted, that wasn't a word that was in—my father's looking down, my mother's looking down, that my son's not supposed to be indicted,' he said. 'I think I got indicted five times, impeached two times. All bulls--t, right? Terrible stuff.' The luncheon crowd, comprising 60 CEOs and business leaders who donate to faith-aligned charities, did not appear to mind the president's meandering, as they clapped and cheered throughout his speech as he rambled. 'Gas prices have reached the lowest level in five decades,' Trump remarked at one point. 'Actually, it's going to be, we're going to see some really good numbers where, you know, drill, baby drill, drill, baby drill. I've got to make sure that people can afford to produce the gas. ... 'But the gas has gotten to the lowest level in decades, and you're seeing $1.99 $1.98. I saw $1.95 at certain states, not California, because every time it goes down, they add taxes onto it,' Trump rambled. 'All they do is they keep adding taxes. Terrible governor, doesn't know what he's doing. He may be, he may be a candidate, but if you, if you go by success, you can't have him be a candidate.' Fox News reported that the White House luncheon is the 'first event of its kind.' The White House Faith Office was created by executive order in February. Trump grew up in a Reformed Church but rarely attends services as an adult. He has made a habit of name-dropping God since entering politics a decade ago, and he won the presidency in 2016 off the backs of Evangelical voters who later became his MAGA base.

When Last Week Tonight host John Oliver mercilessly mocked his show's parent company Warner Bros. Discovery back in May over the umpteenth name change for HBO's streaming network, it was not only a hilarious bit from the cheeky host about a boneheaded marketing decision — it was also an indicator that the difference between HBO and what's now HBO Max might still be a bit… puzzling, to say the least, to some viewers. With so many names, rebrands, and mergers in the mix over the past few years, it's understandable if you're still not totally clear on what's what. So here's a quick explainer to help straighten it all out. It's known for prestige dramas (The Sopranos, Succession), original documentaries, and standup comedy. If you're watching Curb Your Enthusiasm or True Detective, for example, you're watching HBO. And while all HBO shows are also available to stream, the key thing here is that these titles were created for the cable channel first and foremost. To wrap up, here's what to know about the key differences between all these terms: If you're watching something branded simply as 'HBO,' it's a TV show or movie that originally aired on the HBO cable network. If it says 'Max Original,' it's exclusive to the streaming service. And HBO Max is the umbrella platform where it all lives, along with a whole lot of other Warner Bros. Discovery content. Ron Howard Earns His First-Ever Acting Nomination at the 2025 Emmys for Guest Starring Role as Himself in 'The Studio'
The Studio had an impressive showing at the 2025 Emmy Awards nominations The Seth Rogen-led comedy series earned a whopping 23 nominations this year, including six nods in the guest star categories Ron Howard was among the nominees and it marks his first-ever acting nominationThe Studio made a splash amongst the list of nominees for the 2025 Emmy Awards, and even Ron Howard made the list in an acting category. On Tuesday, July 15, Brenda Song and Harvey Guillén announced this year's nominations and the Seth Rogen-helmed Apple TV+ comedy series earned a whopping 23 nominations. Among those are nominations for Rogen himself for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series, as well as his costars Kathryn Hahn and Catherine O'Hara for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series. Ike Barinholtz also scored a nomination in the outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series category. Howard — who began his career in Hollywood as a child star and famously played Richie Cunningham on Happy Days — earned his first-ever Emmy nomination for acting. His performance in The Studio garnered him a nod for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series. The nomination is the acclaimed director's 14th ever at the Emmys, and he has won three times — for the documentary Jim Henson Idea Man last year, Arrested Development in 2004, and From The Earth To The Moon in 1998. The other guest stars from The Studio joining him in the category are: Dave Franco, Martin Scorsese, Bryan Cranston and Anthony Mackie. Zoë Kravitz also earned a nomination for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series. Mackie, 46, and Howard, 71, overlapped in episode 3 as they worked together on the fictional film Alphabet City, which Franco also "starred" in. During the episode, Howard broke down crying during a meeting with Rogen's studio head Matt Remick over his critique of the film — and things really crashed and burned when Rogen fell into and destroyed a bar cart after Howard threw his signature baseball hat at him in anger. Rogen, who co-created the series with Evan Goldberg, told PEOPLE that the director was "so game and so good and really tried so hard" during his days on set. "[He] worked really hard on the performance and the role and yeah, he was very impressive," he recalled. Howard also brought some of his own ideas to the scenes, Rogen shared. "It was his idea to throw his patented Imagine hat at me, which I thought was a true stroke of genius," Rogen said. "For him to weaponize his trademark look was a really miraculously funny idea."
