WATCH: General Hospital's Katelyn MacMullen Explains Why Willow is Vulnerable to Drew (Video) originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. General Hospital's Drew () and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) are planning a future they seem to be the only two residents of Port Charles enthusiastic about their relationship. MacMullen talked to ABC7's SoapChat fans' frustration with her character and why Willow is so vulnerable right now. She said: Well, I have to tell you, I adore Cameron Mathison, and I've known Cameron for a long time, but fans are smacking themselves thinking, 'How is Willow this clueless about Drew? How? How? How?' What makes the nurse so open to not seeing Drew for who he is? MacMullen mused: I think Willow just... She doesn't quite know who to trust, and he's a part of her circle of trust, and so she's kind of doubling down and listening to everything he says and taking that to heart. General Hospital spoilers: Alexis, Kristina and Ric… who's headed to prison?
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. While we've been incredibly frustrated by General Hospital's tawdry romance storyline between Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), we've managed to reserve some frustration for Kristina's (Kate Mansi) failed murder plot against Ava (Maura West) and the subsequent cover-up and manipulation. Not only did Kristina foolishly try to cut Ava's brakes to kill the art gallery owner, only to cut the brakes of Ric's (Rick Hearst) car instead and nearly kill him and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), but then Ava decided to use this whole ordeal as a money grab with Ric's seal of approval. Ava went to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and blackmailed the attorney into foolishly embezzling from the Cassadine estate (money belonging to baby Ace) to fund Ava and Ric's lifestyles, all in an effort to keep Kristina from going to prison. Additionally, Alexis has professed to wanting to keep Molly (Krsten Vaganos) in the dark about her sister almost killing her father, hoping to preserve the Davis sisterhood. So, just recapping all of this. Kristina has attempted murder. Alexis, Ric and Ava are all guilty of embezzlement. Ava is also guilty of tampering with evidence, given that she hid Ric's car and took the parking garage footage of her building. Oh, and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) aptly pointed out in the General Hospital episode that aired on June 2, he's an accessory after the fact to attempted murder, given he learned what Kristina did the night of the car crash. With that being said, it would seem everyone in this scenario has put themselves in danger of being arrested, tried and convicted. Should writers try and make sure some justice is served as it pertains to this storyline, the question is who would wind up paying the price? If we had to guess, there's a good chance Kristina may wind up confessing to attempted murder, but stress she was not in the right frame of mind. Although Alexis warned her daughter not to do this, Kristina may grow tired of seeing her mother compromise her own freedom and law license. Then, to make sure Alexis doesn't go to prison for embezzlement, Kristina may bring Michael (Rory Gibson) up to speed and borrow a few million to replenish the money Alexis stole from the Cassadine estate. If Kristina is somehow spared, then we think Alexis could wind up going back to prison. At this point, it would almost serve Alexis right to be dragged into police custody. Had she just done what Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) told her to do and have Kristina committed to a mental health facility in an attempt to establish a possible winnable defense in court for her child, things may not have snowballed this far. Ultimately, though, if Alexis is arrested in the near future, she may claim to have cut the brakes herself and then committed embezzlement to keep Ava and Ric quiet, just to spare Kristina a prison stint. Alexis may feel she can possibly mount a defense to have the charges dropped should the case go to trial. After all, Spinelli may be able to make sure the parking garage video goes away for good, and Diane could have the actual car tossed as evidence, given Ava tampered with it. Additionally, Alexis may be able to convince Laura (Genie Francis) to drop any future embezzlement charges by telling the truth. For now, our guess that either Kristina or Alexis will be adorning silver 'bracelets' soon is just a hunch we have. But we sincerely hope this whole car crash storyline finds some resolution soon. By the way, whoever is arrested and however the truth comes out, the news is bound to infuriate Molly. New episodes of General Hospital air on weekdays on ABC. If you miss an episode, you can catch up on Hulu.

Cameron Mathison struggled with sobriety after losing his home
Cameron Mathison struggled with his sobriety after losing his home in the California wildfires. The 55-year-old 'General Hospital' actor - who split from his wife Vanessa, the mother of his adult children Lucas and Leila, last July - was left devastated after his house burned down in January and he's now confessed he felt "the pull" of alcohol as he dealt with the aftermath despite being clean for two decades. Speaking to PEOPLE, he explained: "I have to say, the pull and the thoughts are definitely stronger these last four months - more so than the last 20, 21 years of my life. ""For me, it all comes down to serenity, peace of mind. And so when I feel that craving, that want, that need, that trying to satisfy an inner problem with an outer solution - whether it's a mind-altering substance or whatever - I really try to turn inward and work on my inner qualities of love, compassion, patience, generosity, kindness, and train in meditation, work on that serenity through community, through my own spiritual practice. "And I haven't been great with it, to be honest, the last four months. But that's what I try to do. And I know that's what I need to do more of." Cameron previously opened up about his decision to quit alcohol in an Instagram post back in 2021 in which he marked 15 years sober. He wrote: "15 years ago today, I made the choice to give up alcohol. People always ask me why and the answer is very simple … because I want to be the best dad, husband and person I can be. "I want to be as mindful as possible in my life, and deal with things with my full awareness. People tend to think that giving up alcohol restricts you from 'living,' but for me it did the opposite … it gave me freedom." Cameron recently spoke about his devastation after losing his home because it was full of memories from when his kids were growing up. He told 'Access Hollywood': "Every little single thing that I've ever owned, every piece of evidence of my life and my kids' lives, was lost in that house. "I am fluctuating. There's lots to learn from this, and lots to be grateful for. And also, thinking about thousands of others going through the same thing. "But it has been more devastating than I actually thought it would be. "It's been, oddly, one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. "It's been a hard thing to express to people. They probably have an idea that it's difficult, but it's where I raised my kids, it's where my kids wanted to raise their kids." Cameron also praised his "phenomenal" co-stars on 'General Hospital' for the love and support they have shown him over the last few months. He said: "My 'GH' family has been phenomenal. And that made tons of difference. It's unbelievable the love and support and kindness and generosity that has been given to myself and thousands of others going through it."

EXCLUSIVE General Hospital star reveals harrowing 'trauma' after multiple family tragedies and says he's lost everything after LA fires
General Hospital star Cameron Mathison revealed he is going through a new 'forced chapter' of his life after suffering a succession of 'major, major life challenges' which culminated in losing his house to the devastating LA wildfires. Mathison's Pasadena home was gutted in the terrifying Eaton fire, one of many that tore through California back in January. It came months after his 'shocking' divorce from his now-estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo, with whom he has children Lucas, 22, and Lelia, 18, and within four years of losing his mother, his dog, a job and being diagnosed with cancer. Reflecting on losing his home, the All My Children star, 55, told the Daily Mail: 'It's a very unique death. You never expect your children's home, the home that you raised your life in, everything. You never expect that. It really is a unique loss that doesn't feel real. 'It's so much more emotionally challenging than people know. I've been through in the last four years, major, major life challenges. A life threatened and a cancer journey, and a loss of a parent, a shocking divorce. My dog died. I lost a job. My son went through something traumatic and now this.' Mathison and Arevalo announced their separation in July, telling fans they had 'made the difficult decision to part ways' after 22 years of marriage. It has been an emotionally tough five years for the former Hallmark Channel host who was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma – a type of kidney cancer – in 2019 and underwent surgery to remove a tumor. He is now cancer-free. Months later his mom Loretta was diagnosed with brain cancer and died in 2021 amid the Covid-19 pandemic. In August 2023 he announced the heartbreaking news that his beloved Doberman and 'best bud' Red had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma – a type of blood cancer. He died four months later in the December. But Mathison, who has played Drew Cain on General Hospital since 2021, said the 'trauma' of losing his house hit differently because you 'never expect' to witness a family home burn down. He said although it still feels 'totally surreal' four months on, he is embracing being at 'ground zero' and building up a new life and future. 'There's aspects of it being totally surreal still every day in this type of loss, you remember something else,' he said. 'Every day. Just the other day I remembered my Letterman jacket from high school. Every single piece of my kids' lives. The Father's Day cards. Mother's Day is coming up. Twenty years of Mother's Day cards for my ex.' The actor, who was speaking at Thursday night's NAMI 2025 Mental Health Gala, continued: 'This is a real true forced new chapter of my life. I'm talking new underwear, new socks, new everything. I had to borrow this tie from General Hospital. I don't have anything. 'So, my marriage ended to me pretty shockingly. My kids moved out for college. My house burned down. So that's all awful, of course. But also, it's like I get to create this next chapter from ground zero. Well, that's a weird word, from a level playing field.' Earlier this week the Canadian actor and presenter revealed his beloved Mustang had survived the catastrophic inferno. Celebrating the discovery on Instagram, he said: 'Mustang somewhat survived the fire. It was one of the few things that survived, and this car is very, very important to me and the kids for different reasons.' Mathison shared a series of heartbreaking posts as he returned to his home, now a pile of rubble, after the fires had subsided. Speaking to Good Morning America at the time, he said: 'I can't sleep. I've lost my home and everything that I own … Every few minutes we're thinking about things that were in there that are irreplaceable.' He was also forced to warn fans of scammers who were pretending to be him on GoFundMe in a bid to profit off the fires. 'PLEASE DO NOT DONATE TO A GO FUND ME PAGE using my videos or photos!!! It is not us. We are not asking for money,' he wrote. 'Unimaginable that someone is using this disaster to rip people off.'
