The Sun on Sunday can reveal Liam, 52, and Noel, 58 — famed for their rock 'n' roll lifestyle — shared a few words before being whisked away from the Principality Stadium in waiting cars at around 10.30pm.
A source said: 'The atmosphere was absolutely electric and Liam and Noel were delighted with the first night.
'They were a bit shell-shocked.
'It went better than anyone could have imagined.

'The lead up has all been carefully orchestrated, as everyone knows how delicate and fragile Liam and Noel's relationship is.
'They don't want to over-expose themselves to each other.
'Determined to stay focused'
'Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space.
'They stayed in separate locations outside the city around half an hour away from each other.

'They're happy families at the moment and they want to keep it that way.
'Liam has been off the booze for a while and sounds better than ever.

'He wants eight hours' sleep every night and is avoiding boozing and partying altogether.
'Liam's clean-living is working wonders too.

'Everyone's been really impressed — they're determined to stay focused on making the magic happen on stage.'
The brothers sent fans wild with a set list including classics such as Stand by Me, Wonderwall, Live Forever and Half The World Away — which was used as the theme for TV sitcom The Royle Family.
And they are determined to keep up standards.
Liam's partner Debbie Gwyther has been pivotal in keeping him focused ahead of the reunion dates.

The source added: 'Debbie protects him from all the hype so he doesn't get carried away.
'They've swapped out Guinness for zero per cent alcohol beers and keep the vibe backstage as chilled as possible.'
Noel's daughter Anais, 25, was at Friday's gig, along with her mum Meg Mathews, 59. So too was Liam's sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 24.
A source revealed: 'It was a special and emotional night for their kids as they didn't think they'd see their dads performing as Oasis again after their bitter feuding.

Oasis representatives declined to say where Liam and Noel stayed — but it was reported the latter checked into the Park Gate Hotel in Cardiff city centre.
And yesterday at around 6.30pm a grey Land Rover with a police escort of four officers on motorbikes was seen leaving the five-star Celtic Manor resort.
Both hotels are part of the Celtic Collection franchise.
As well as the main hotel, Celtic Manor boasts a number of private lodges. Then US President Barack Obama stayed in one in 2014. The hotel's 18-hole golf course has hosted the Ryder Cup.

The brothers' fellow band member Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Cardiff-born Andy Bell and American drummer Joey Waronker are also joining the brothers on their clean-living tour regime.

Back at the stadium, a secret after-party drew celebs including Danny Dyer, Louis Tomlinson, Cara Delevingne, Anya Taylor-Joy and Kasabian rocker Sergio Pizzorno.
Welsh rugby ace Alun Wyn Jones was also there, along with Gavin and Stacey's Rob Brydon and Ruth Jones.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis had been spotted watching the curtain-raiser from the VIP seats, leading some to speculate she is trying to book the band to star at the festival in 2027.

As well as the 74,500 at the stadium, more than 1.3million fans watched live streams — with around 750,000 people tuning in on YouTube and a further 550,000 on TikTok and Instagram.
Fans lucky enough to get tickets for the gig were blown away. Harry Bruce, 25, from Glasgow, came with friends Oliver Cheetham, 20, from Sheffield, and Max Vince, 24, from Southampton.
Harry told The Sun on Sunday: 'The atmosphere prior to the gig was something to rival a European football final — it was sensational.
'People from all over the country, of all ages coming together belting out tune after tune. An unforgettable experience and a dream come true. One to tell the grandkids.'

Oliver said: 'All different types of ages and faces where all together in unison and I've never experienced anything like it before.
'When Oasis came on and you could hear the rumble of Noel's guitar and Liam's voice it was like an out-of-this-world experience.' Max added: 'Standing there was absolutely incredible and the atmosphere was like nothing I've ever seen before.
'There were grown men and women with tears in their eyes.

'Everyone was getting on so well, I even managed to get on the shoulders of the bloke next to me when Half The World Away came on. There was a buzz the whole evening and it didn't even take too long to get a drink which I was surprised at.'
Simon Hunter, 43, travelled from London with fiancée Tara Parkhouse, 42.
He said: 'They united an entire nation in Cardiff that spanned generations and gave the crowd something that is almost too incredible to put into words.
"Liam, Noel and the band had the entire stadium rocking.'

Don't roll with it: the ticket scams targeting Oasis fans and other gig-goers

Your favourite band is playing, and you're desperate to go, but don't have a ticket. Unfortunately, scammers are trying to cash in on this summer's must-see gigs, claiming they can get you into sold-out events. So be on your guard. The Oasis gigs, that kicked off on Friday, are among the big-ticket events being used by fraudsters to trick unsuspecting music fans. Earlier this year, Lloyds Bank said that more than 1,000 customers had fallen victim to scams that offered access to the eagerly anticipated concerts. Fans lost an average of £436 each, with the biggest loss more than £1,700. According to the UK government, in 2024 more than £1.6m was lost to gig ticket fraud, and 3,700 reports were made to Action Fraud. Almost half of the Action Fraud cases related to offers made on social media, and there have been many stories from people who have lost money after responding to posts on Facebook. Some have reported that their Facebook pages have been hijacked and then used by criminals to trick their family and friends into thinking ticket sales were genuine. Scammers are bold enough to answer questions before running off with your cash. A reader told us he had been convinced that tickets were genuine before transferring £150 to pay for them – as soon as he had, the fraudster disappeared. Posts on platforms, such as Facebook, claim that people have spare tickets to sell, and say that they can show you proof before you pay. Scroll through posts on fan pages, or on X, and there are hundreds of people claiming to be selling. Some will be genuine, but there is no way of telling from just looking at them. You will be asked for a payment – probably by a bank transfer – in exchange for the tickets. If a friend or family has posted that they are selling the tickets you want, contact them directly rather than dealing with them through social media. Find the website of the venue or band – it will provide links to take you to the legitimate sites to use for ticket sales and resales. Use a credit or debit card to pay online – these give you extra protections if the tickets do not turn up. If you get an email saying tickets are available, check the address – Ticketmaster emails, for example, should come from noreply@ Rather than clicking on links sent in emails, go directly to the ticket seller's page. Make sure any company you buy through is a member of the Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers (Star). It has a redress scheme if things go wrong. Ticketmaster also warns to beware of printed tickets, as scammers can distribute the same ticket multiple times.

Cheryl 'bittersweet' over 'biggest challenge she's faced'

Cheryl is rumoured to be joining The Voice as a mentor - and while it could be a successful comeback after years away from the small-screen, it comes after a difficult time for the star She's been absent from any television projects for more than five years, but Cheryl Tweedy's huge TV comeback will be 'bittersweet' for the star after the death of her ex, Liam Payne. The Geordie singer, whose last major TV gig was in 2019, is being tipped to join her longtime pal as a mentor on the next series of The Voice UK. And a source told OK! exclusively that, despite everything she's achieved in her career, a spot on the ITV show is going to be 'the biggest role of her life'. ‌ ‌ 'This is really important for Cheryl, ' said the source. 'She realised after Liam's death that you just don't know what's around the corner – life isn't a dress rehearsal. A comeback on a TV show like The Voice has always been at the back of her mind, has always wanted her back and Liam's passing sort of made the decision for her. She wants Bear to see that she's a strong, successful woman, and to see that life can go on and even be good.' It was reported last week that the Girls Aloud singer, 42, who is mum to Bear, eight, was in talks to appear on the next series of The Voice UK, due to air early next year, alongside a judging line-up which includes Tom Jones, Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher as a pair, and new recruit Kelly Rowland. A source told The Sun newspaper that Cheryl was taking 'baby steps' in her TV career and was the 'obvious choice' to mentor team when the revived Battle Rounds kick off. 'Cheryl and first worked together 16 years ago and have remained good friends ever since,' the source said. Former One Direction singer Liam fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires in October, aged 31. He and Cheryl had been in a relationship for two years until 2018 and Cheryl was given the joint responsibility of managing Liam's £24 million fortune after his death, along with an industry lawyer. Now that some months have passed since Liam's death, our source claimed Cheryl is ready to prove to the world – and herself – that she's still a force to be reckoned with. ‌ 'She's not doing it for the money or for fame, she's had the most incredible career already. It's about proving she's strong and capable after so much heartache, and letting Bear see that too,' they said. 'It's probably going to be the biggest challenge she's faced but she's determined to do it – and to do it well.' Cheryl's last big TV gig was as a dance captain on the BBC 's The Greatest Dancer, before starring in the West End play 2:22 A Ghost Story in 2023. PR expert Lynn Carratt believes Cheryl's experience stands her in good stead for a triumphant return, but she needs to be mentally prepared to be back in the spotlight again. ‌ 'Let's not forget, Cheryl's whole career has been built around music talent shows,' she told new. 'She won Popstars: The Rivals with Girls Aloud and worked on The X Factor so she's been in the same position as the contestants – they'll really relate to her experience and authenticity in that area. "But she's had so much going on, overcoming the death of Liam, looking after Bear and her stalker hell. This could be a good way of easing herself back into the public eye, after months in the wilderness.' ‌ It might also be 'bittersweet' for Cheryl, Lynn says, because one of Liam's last TV projects was on Netflix 's Building The Band, which the streaming service is releasing this week. 'It's probably quite nerve-wracking for her too,' Lynn added. 'And good that she could be a mentor and not a full-time judge.' Liam's death also came just three years after Cheryl lost her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding, who died two months shy of her 40th birthday from breast cancer. Apart from the Girls Aloud reunion tour with Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl has been very much under the radar since then. Lynn said Cheryl, out of all the bandmates, has always been the most cautious in the spotlight and never particularly revelled in the overnight fame that came off the back of the girls winning Popstars: The Rivals 23 years ago. 'She'll turn up and do the Girls Aloud tour and she'll be on TV, but then she'll go away and you might not see her for a long time,' she said. 'She's very focused now on being a mum to Bear. He's still young but he's growing up and since Liam's death, she's probably wanted to be there for him a lot more. She's a single parent now – there's no escaping that – so she has to pick her jobs carefully.'
