Shark's FlexBreeze Mist Fan Brings the Cool to the Backyard or the Beach in This $200 Prime Day Deal

Shark's FlexBreeze Mist Fan Brings the Cool to the Backyard or the Beach in This $200 Prime Day Deal

CNETa day ago
I don't know about you, but walking outside this afternoon felt like walking into a dragon's jaws: instantly sweat-inducing heat and demoralizing pressure. We can't air condition the whole world, but we can at least cool the air immediately surrounding us on the patio or porch.
Mister fans are nothing new, but the handheld ones are weak and most portable ones either need refilling every 20 minutes or end up dribbling out of the center rather than misting. Shark's solution is easily adaptable for both indoor and outdoor use with a 1.2-gallon tank can last for hours.
At normal price, the Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist is a bit expensive for a fan that comes with a remote, two stands -- tabletop and pedestal -- and a detachable tank, but ahead of Prime Day this Tuesday, Amazon has knocked off $50, making this corded and battery-powered cooling system an even $200.
The normal Shark FlexBreeze won a place among our favorite outdoor tech as the best way to keep cool, though that model is more of a normal fan that a mister and twist onto while the Pro Mist is a mist fan that can detach the water cables when you don't need them. The original also needed to be hooked up to a garden hose, but the Pro Mist's tank lets you not only use cold water rather than your outdoor tap but also add ice to help lower the air temperature by up to 12 degrees.
Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.
All the standard fan features are here: 5 fan speeds that can reach up to 70 feet away, 180-degree oscillation, 55-degree tilt, and a remote so that you can adjust the speed or cut the mist and dry off a bit. Shark claims up to 24 hours of battery life for portable use -- on low with no mist or movement -- but the number dwindles drastically once you turn up the speed or features, going down to less than two hours at max speed with misting on.

Why this deal matters
We've just entered the hottest two months of the year for the U.S., and you can't hide inside that entire time. (Trust me, I've tried.) A high-speed fan can do a lot to cool you, both inside and outside, and with the two smaller misters instead of a single, larger nozzle, you can get a finer spray with fewer spurts or splashes. If you've been struggling for the last couple of months, this fan would definitely be an investment, but a worthwhile one, especially in drier states.

How to Watch Samsung Unpacked: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 Reveals

Samsung is gearing up to debut its next slate of foldable Galaxy Z phones, which likely includes follow-ups to last year's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. It's also expected to unveil its next smartwatch, the successor to the Galaxy Watch 7. The company will host its Unpacked event next week, where it'll also show off Galaxy AI updates. Here's what you can expect and how to tune in. CNET is also hosting a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked live blog and a live show, which will cover all the final rumors and big reveals as they happen. How to watch Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Samsung's summer Unpacked event will take place in Brooklyn, New York, and will be live streamed on the Samsung Newsroom, at and on Samsung's YouTube channel. Unpacked kicks off on Wednesday, July 9, at 7 a.m. PT (10 a.m. ET). CNET will be on the ground bringing you all the live updates. What to expect at Samsung's summer Unpacked Samsung's been teasing its upcoming foldables for the last several weeks. In early June, a Newsroom post pointed to the company bringing "an Ultra-experience" to "a smaller and more portable form factor." That apparently includes a "powerful camera" and "AI-powered tools." The following week, the company said in another blog post that its "newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet." It appears to be following in the footsteps of the slim and lightweight Galaxy S25 Edge, which was released in May. Samsung seems to be especially focused on scaling the capabilities of its foldables' cameras with the help of AI. It noted in a subsequent blog post, "The camera will only get smarter -- helping users capture life's moments more vividly and make everyday experiences more seamless, personal and impactful." Samsung An animated invite for July's Unpacked event begins by showing the slim side profile of a device that then splits into two phones. One of these phones folds like a book, and on-screen text at the end reads "Ultra Unfolds." How many devices will Samsung unveil? It's possible Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Fold 7 and then the Z Fold Ultra, or perhaps the Ultra will be the only version of the Fold. There are also murmurs of a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE phone. Leaker Evan Blass shared renders of the rumored device, which appears similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, but the phone could swap out the Snapdragon chip for an Exynos processor. Meanwhile, renders of the flagship foldable Galaxy Z Flip 7 suggest Samsung could nix the physical camera notch and opt for an edge-to-edge cover display. But we'll have to wait and see what the company has in store. There have also been rumors about the Galaxy Watch 8 making its debut at Unpacked. Samsung has already given a sneak peek at its new AI-powered sleep and fitness coaching, expected to debut alongside the next Galaxy Watch. Seagate Compact 1TB Portable SSD Hits an All-Time Low, 260K+ Reviewers Might Envy This Prime Day Price

Tiny portable thumb drives are a great way to move important files, but they usually have one or both of two unfortunate shortcomings — they're either fragile, small in capacity, or both. Not surprisingly, a USB-C thumb drive that conquers both of those issues comes from Seagate — the remarkable Ultra Compact 1TB portable SSD, which is just $80 right now in Amazon Prime Day Deal list. The Seagate Ultra Compact packs a full terabyte of storage into a tiny 2.78-inch body, and it's also IP54 dust and rain resistant, with a removable rubber grip for more secure carrying and for extra protection, and a 3-meter drop resistance. A small but sturdy loop lets you attach it to a key ring or the included lanyard for safe keeping, and it's universally compatible across Windows and Mac laptops and desktops, Android smartphones and tablets, iPhones, iPads, and gaming consoles. See at Amazon The Seagate Ultra Compact makes quick work of your hugest files with blazing data transfer speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. The Seagate Toolkit software that helps you use the Ultra Compact 1TB portable SSD as a backup drive and syncs files is built into the drive already. There's no cable — the Ultra Compact plugs directly into the USB-C port of your device — and there's no need for any external power source. And while Seagate has made the Ultra Compact 1TB portable SSD amazingly tough and durable, with protection from water and dust and drops, they're also aware that sometimes things just happen — fires, natural disasters, extreme physical mishaps. That's where their Rescue Data Recovery Services have your back. Should disaster strike, you can send the drive back to Seagate and their expert techs will either repair the drive or recover your data and send it back to you on a new drive. Expanding the capacity of your gaming console by a full terabyte is a simple matter of plugging the Ultra Compact 1TB portable SSD into the console's USB-C port. At 1,000 MB/s, the drive moves fast enough to make moving large game files quick and easy, and there's no USB-C cable to worry about getting jostled and breaking your connection. This is a huge-capacity thumb drive we can give two huge thumbs-up to. The Seagate Ultra Compact 1TB portable SSD has the size (or lack thereof), the speed, the durability, and the Seagate brand in its corner, and the price is right too. Head to Amazon prime day deal hub and grab this mighty little drive for just $80. See at Amazon
