Bloom completes investment in Hearts
Tony Bloom has completed his near £10m investment in Hearts and James Franks will now join the Tynecastle club's board as a non-executive director.
Andrew Mckinlay, the Jambos' chief executive, confirmed the move and said the announcement was a culmination of the club's fans belief and support.
He added: 'When Tony's investment proposal became public in May, it captured the imaginations of our supporters as demonstrated by Foyundation of Hearts members voting 98.5 per cent in favour.
'A tremendous amount of hard work as gone on behind the scenes to turn a proposal into a reality.'
Bloom, who is the majority owner and chairman of English Premiership side, Brighton and Hove Albion, and now has a 29 per cent stake in the Gorgie club, said that he firmly believes in the club's ability to disrupt the pattern of domination of Scottish football.
It has, he claimed, been in place too long and he added: 'This great club has a bright future and I look forward to seeing that unfold in the months and years ahead.'

Daizen Maeda 'interests' Brentford after Celtic star made transfer feelings very clear amid £21m non negotiable
The forward is in demand this summer after an impressive campaign last term for the Scottish champions Brentford are reportedly showing interest in Daizen Maeda - despite the Celtic star making his feelings clear over an exit. The 27-year-old was the standout performer for the Scottish Premiership champions last season netting 33 goals last season as Brendan Rodgers' claimed a domestic double. That has seen the likes of Tottenham, Fenerbahce and West Ham touted with a move for the forward - and now The Bees' appear to have joined the race. Sportiva reported that the addition of Maeda is part of the "big changes heading into the new season" with Keith Andrews replacing Thomas Frank as manager - after Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham. It is claimed that the Premier League club could take "immediate action" and submit and offer - but the valuation of the Japanese international will be "carefully considered" before an offer is made. Reports in Turkey stating Jose Mourinho's men were told stump up £21million for the star by Celtic - and that valuation is unlikely to have moved since. But Maeda has already hinted this summer that he is in no rush to leave - as he sets his sights on the Champions League after reaching the play-off phase of the competition. He said: "I really enjoyed playing in the Champions League this season because there were so many games and it gave us a lot of different challenges. "I think the new format has been great and I am excited to try it again this upcoming season. It helped me improve. "We played some great teams. Personally, I actually thought the best side we played was Atalanta because they didn't appear to have any weaknesses." And last week Maeda explained during an interview in his homeland that his family was settled in Glasgow. He said: "My son was doing knee sliding exercises at home. I was inspired by that and thought I could do it too. "I thought I'd give it a go and it was surprisingly easy, so I started doing it after that. It's easy to do in Scotland because the grass is always wet." Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) DAVE CORMACK insisted he wants to 'make the region proud' after he and his backers pumped another £8million into Aberdeen. The Dons chairman, director Tom Crotty and behind-the-scenes investors will fund a new indoor 4G pitch at Cormack Park and major improvements at Pittodrie. And Cormack has promised to keep Aberdeen at the forefront of Scottish game after the 49ers Enterprises' £20m investment in Rangers and Tony Bloom's £10m boost for Hearts. Cormack beamed: 'We continue to make good progress towards achieving long-term financial sustainability of the club with record season ticket sales, AberDNA memberships and markedly increased commercial and retail revenues. 'Combined with the additional funds generated, successful player trading is integral to this goal and remains a major factor in our recruitment. 'We have spent the last 12 months studying the market and refining our strategy in this area. 'This has complemented some of the squad planning work that we have undertaken, which in part has highlighted the need for adjustments in our own structures and the need for additional capital and operational investments if we are to continue to make progress and challenge ourselves to drive more success on and off the field. 'Together with our investors, I remain committed to driving Aberdeen forward and continuing to make our supporters and the region proud of its football club.' It's understood Cormack has personally put in £4m on the new sum with Crotty also investing heavily in the plan. The £8m will mainly be used for capital projects at Cormack Park, including the planned construction of a new full-sized indoor arena - with work to start in the New Year. Aberdeen fans react to historic Scottish Cup win The vision is for a new covered 4G facility for all-year-round use. Works will also take place at Pittodrie, including improved floodlights and corporate lounges as the club plans for a medium-term stay at their current home. Dons chief executive Alan Burrows added: 'This latest injection of funding takes the total investment from Dave, Tom and their colleagues to over £25m in the last few years. 'We're incredibly grateful to our investors for the new funds, which will provide a significant portion of the capital required for these improvements at Cormack Park and our stadium, while also being able to continue to invest in the squad and the football operation. 'Our training facility at Cormack Park is fantastic, and the addition of a full-sized, indoor arena and additional operational space will take it to a whole new level, opening new possibilities for our men's, women's, academy and community programmes. 'In addition, we have recently been able to more than double the investment in our scouting and talent ID department across the continent. 'This is only possible with the support we get from our investors and our fans through AberDNA memberships.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Rangers have missed out on key target Kwame Poku after he rejected a move to Ibrox in order to 'seal' a transfer to the EFL Championship instead, according to reports. The Glasgow giants completed the first signing of the Russell Martin era last week with the arrival of highly-rated AFC Bournemouth full-back Max Aarons on a season-long loan deal. The 25-year-old defender signed from the English Premier League side on Tuesday, and joins Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron in moving to Ibrox this summer after the Scotland Under 21 star signed a pre-contract agreement back in February. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad With new head coach Martin keen to revamp his Rangers squad in order to challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title this season, Poku was viewed as a potentially exciting addition that could add to his attacking options in the season ahead. Rangers head coach Russell Martin is looking to add to his squad this summer following his appointment at Ibrox this summer. The 23-year-old Ghanaian international bagged 12 goals and assisted a further eight for Peterborough United in EFL League One last season, despite missing a large chunk of the campaign due to injury, and has reportedly courted serious interest from the likes of Birmingham City, Sunderland and Rangers following the expiry of his contract at the Posh. It was hoped that Rangers would hold the upper hand in the chase for the Ghanaian, with the Light Blues able to take advantage of cross-border transfer rules that would have allowed them to sign the £6million rated player for a 'minimal' compensation fee, as opposed to the much higher development fee English clubs would be forced to pay. However, it looks like Queens Park Rangers have won the race for the talented winger's signature, with Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealing a deal to the take the player to Loftus Road was now completed. 'Poku has signed in as new Queens Park Rangers player right now,' he wrote on his official X account. 'All sealed. Deal 100% done. Excellent addition for QPR.' Described as a 'serious talent' following two impressive performances for Scotland U15 against Italy and Portugal recently, Hutchison had been targeted by several clubs in the English Premier League this summer, with his contract due to expire in Govan. Scotland youth international Alfie Hutchison is leaving Rangers in order to sign for Newcastle United. | SNS Group It appears Champions League outfit Newcastle United have won the race for the highly-rated teenager after another report from Romano revealed the Magpies had 'completed a deal' to sign the 16-year-old from Rangers, with the move set to be confirmed on July 1. The English side will be required to pay compensation for Hutchison.
