I gave my bed an £18 glow-up using an unexpected B&M buy – people say it looks like a whole new bed but £1.6k cheaper

BUYING a new bed is a huge expense that sends shivers down the spines of many.
But rather than forking out thousands on a posh faux fur bed frame, a savvy woman from the UK has shared how she gave her old bed, which she has had for the last three years, a quick and easy glow up.

The DIY enthusiast and mother, who posts online under the username 'Cosy Home Life', used bargain and very unexpected buys from B&M to transform her bed frame, costing her less than £20 in total.
Posting on social media, the cleaning fan gave her followers a close-up look at her bed frame before and after its transformation, leaving many gobsmacked.
Prior to the DIY project, the woman's bed frame was grey and velvet.
But thanks to two super soft throws, which are just £5 each from B&M, and a furry blanket, which costs only £8, this content creator was able to give her bed a fresh, neutral look.
Using the blankets and throws, this influencer was able to cover her headboard and the base of her bed, making her very own DIY covers.
Thrilled with her money-saving idea, this mother described her hack as ' budget friendly.'
Showing off the finished bed, which not only looks incredibly expensive, but seriously luxurious too, the savvy saver beamed: 'Not perfect but a lot better than it was.'
While you can buy a range of affordable bed frames from DUSK and Wayfair, a very similar style to this woman's finished project, is currently being sold at Debenhams.
The HOB Furniture Luxury Sahara Bed looks strikingly similar to this DIY fan's, but was once priced at £3,300 and has now been reduced to £1,650.
But rather than breaking the bank on the faux fur bed frame, this woman saved a jaw-dropping £1,632 thanks to her purse-friendly project.
We're a family of 5 living in a one-bed flat - people think our situation is 'satire' but we can't afford anything else
To finish off the bed and make sure the covers are secure, the mother later added: 'Got a stapler coming as well!!'
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ cosy_homelife, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 64,600 views.
It turned out so much better than buying a whole new bed

It's also amassed 4,730 likes, 25 comments and 736 saves.
Social media users were impressed with the 'gorgeous' and 'cute' bed makeover and many eagerly raced to the comments to express this.
One person said: 'Wow, looks amazing!'
Another added: 'Looks lovely.'
A third commented: 'I need to see how you do this.'

Common mistakes that are destroying your healthy hair Haircare experts at Tangle Teezer shared their insight. Not brushing correctly Brushing your hair regularly is one of the most basic, yet effective, ways to keep it looking healthy and maintained. However, mechanical damage from your hairbrush and brushing your hair the wrong way may be doing more harm than good. To avoid excessive pulling and breakage to the hair, the best way to brush your hair is to start at the ends and work your way up to the roots. It's also important to choose a brush that is gentle on hair, but tough on tangles. Not using the right hairbrush for hair type Selecting the right hairbrush for your hair type is essential to maintain healthy hair. Different hairbrushes are designed to work with different hair types, textures, and lengths. Taking the time to pick out your perfect brush is the little thing you can do to make a big difference when it comes to your hair health. For fine hair, a brush with soft-flex teeth is recommended as it can de-tangle hair without pulling or damaging fragile strands. For straight to wavy hair, we recommend our de-tangling brushes with regular-flex teeth, and for thick or curly hair, we recommend our firm-flex teeth and our brushes with a larger paddle size. If you have tight curls and coils, a wide-tooth comb maybe a better match for your hair. Not brushing treatments through in the shower Using treatments is a great way to keep your hair hydrated and healthy. Whether you're using a deep conditioner or treatment masque, it's important to brush it through from the mid-lengths through to the ends of the hair. This will make sure it is evenly distributed through the hair so the treatment can nourish all strands. When brushing through your treatment, make sure you use a brush that is as gentle on wet hair as it is dry. The importance of scalp care in healthy hair Healthy hair starts at the root so bring a scalp brush into your hair care routine has many benefits, as it promotes blood circulation. A scalp brush can help with dandruff, by removing the build-up of old skin cells and products that can lead to an itchy, flaky scalp. Not only do scalp brushes remove the leftover products that can lead to dandruff, but they can also help apply products - from oil treatments to anti-dandruff shampoos - deeper into your scalp. Also, massaging your scalp stimulates pressure points and increases blood circulation, unblocking hair follicles, allowing your hair to grow stronger and healthier. Close to 100 people flooded to comments, where one said: ''Oooh as a greasy haired gal I'm intrigued.'' Someone else would also be dashing to their nearest M&S to snap up the £3 find, ''Ooh I love a clarifying shampoo as someone with thick hair who uses a lotttt of product. Must try this!'' ''Oooh I've been meaning to find a new clarifying shampoo, I'll give this a try!'' chimed in another one. ''Love them but the bottles are an absolute nightmare to squeeze,'' penned a fourth.
