A brand new documentary from Sir David Attenborough is coming, and fans don't have long to wait until it hits screens.
Over the years, the natural historian has delighted fans in the UK and around the world with his fascination for the weird and wonderful lives of all sorts of creatures.
Now, the 99-year-old (who we found 99 facts about for his birthday) is on the brink of releasing his latest programme, a five-part BBC show called Parenthood.
But, you might be asking what's this new documentary series about exactly?
Well, you're in the right place. We're basically David Attenborough experts at this point (need I remind you of the 99 facts).
So to help you learn a little more about Parenthood before you sit down and watch it, we've broken down everything we think you need to know about David Attenborough's new doc!
The docu-series, narrated by Sir David, will explore the highs and lows of parenting within the animal kingdom and explores how it can be a 'high-stakes game in which some animal parents must come up with extraordinary strategies to give their young a head start'.
The documentary will reportedly feature 'never-before-seen animal behaviours' as we witness animals take on a strangely relatable task, 'being good parents'.
Series Producer and Director Jeff Wilson hopes that audiences who watch Parenthood will learn 'the level of commitment required to raise young in a world that is changing in ways that none of us can predict.'
But I know what you really want to know. What animals are you going to see? Well, I don't want to spoil everything, but you can expect to see lions, hippos, African social spiders, and Lynx just in the first episode.
Personally, I can't wait to see the 'burrowing owls' mainly because they sound made up.
Parenthood was filmed over three years in 23 countries and across six continents.
To make Parenthood, the crew journeyed to Spain, India, Bhutan, Botswana, Tanzania, Namibia, Australia, Africa, Indonesia and the USA (among many more) to film some of the rarest animals that call our planet home.
They didn't just explore the surface world either. To capture footage of Orcas hunting, they used specialised underwater equipment that allowed them to capture the terrifying speed and power of these deadly hunters.
Basically, the crew did some serious air miles to bring this Parenthood to life.
Parenthood will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, beginning on August 3 at 7.20pm.
It promises to show viewers never-before-seen animal behaviours while delivering a 'universal message about preserving the natural world.'
Speaking to The Mirror, BBC head of specialist factual commissioning, Jack Bootle, described Parenthood as 'wonderful, warm, engaging, and surprising'.
He said that it is 'made by some of the very best wildlife filmmakers in the world,' adding: 'I'm thrilled Sir David is joining us again to narrate it.'
Director Jeff Wilson added that the whole team is 'incredibly proud' that Sir David was involved in the series.
'Silverback Films did a deep dive into the subject over 2.5 years, uncovering extraordinary new behaviours and jaw-dropping dramas using the world's best wildlife cinematographers and directors,' he explained/
'We are incredibly proud that Sir David was on board with us to bring to the screen a landmark series that has something for everyone – moments of heart-warming tenderness, high stakes narrative, and a timely guide from a huge cast of unbelievably engaging cast of characters on how to navigate the complex world of Parenthood.'
Episode One – The Greatest Adventure (August 3)
Episode Two – Oceans (August 10)
Episode Three – Grasslands (August 17)
Episode Four – Freshwater (August 24)
Episode Five – Jungles (August 31 )
It comes hot on the heels of his latest documentary, Ocean, which coincided with the broadcaster and biologist's 99th birthday.
The Blue Planet creator explored 'the untold story of the ocean', and how we can make a huge difference in its preservation.
Speaking about the series to Metro, Planet Earth III executive producer Mike Gunton hailed the 'unbridled curiosity' that the documentary exhibits, adding that 'he's still absorbing science, absorbing knowledge'.

He also opened up about how Sir Attenborough reacts to being called a national treasure by the general public. More Trending
'He hates it, by the way,' Gunton revealed.
'I say hates it… If anybody says he's a national treasure, he sort of slightly raises his eyebrows and says, 'Really?' That's a generational thing.'
Parenthood begins on August 3 at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer

Great British Sewing Bee viewers issue same complaint as they spot huge format flaw Tuesday's episode of The Great British Sewing Bee was centred around Korean garments. The Great British Sewing Bee viewers issued the same complaint as they spotted a huge format flaw. ‌ During Tuesday's (August 5) episode of the hit BBC reality show, judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant set the contestants three challenges that celebrated the rich fashion and textile traditions of Korea. ‌ They were also joined by award-winning designer Eudon Choi, who helped them examine each Korean-inspired item. ‌ For the pattern challenge, the sewers had to create a jeogori - a historic Korean jacket that's now seen in contemporary womenswear and K-Pop. The contestants then had to transform taekwondo outfits and colourful belts into striking new creations, with Kit coming in first place. Tuesday's episode was inspired by Korean fashion (Image: BBC) ‌ In the made-to-measure challenge, the sewers were tasked with designing evening wear inspired by a garment once worn by Korean military officials. Born in the 900s during the Goryeo dynasty, the cheollik started as a military coat built for movement and authority with a flat collar, pleats and ties. Over centuries, it's evolved from rugged menswear into elegant womenswear. ‌ The contestants were given five hours for the project, after being able to practice their items at home. After failing to impress the judges with her creations, Novello was eliminated from the competition, while Caz received the garment of the week. 66-year-old sewer Novello was eliminated (Image: BBC) ‌ "It's okay, I expected it," Novello said after her exit. "Sewing has always been in my life, and this experience has blown it out of the water, really. It's just something that I will remember and treasure always." However, after watching the episode, many of the show's viewers shared their frustration at the lack of time the sewers get during each challenge. Article continues below "I know it's a competition, but can't they give them a little more time? It's nicer to judge finished garments," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added: "I know they have to weed out the worst sewers, but give them a bit more time," while a third said: "They defo need more time." ITV are said to have been keen on signing him for some time - and bosses think they have found the ideal vehicle. A huge hit in Norway, The Box sees a dozen celebrities placed in separate boxes, each with a daring challenge to complete. It has been described as a cross between I'm A Celebrity and SAS: Who Dares Wins. A source told The Sun: 'The Box is massive in Norway, and the rights were quickly sold to Denmark and now the UK. They have long been sniffing around Gary and just needed to find the right format for him. Source "ITV are really excited about it - and believe they have finally found a worthy successor to Saturday Night Takeaway. 'They have long been sniffing around Gary and just needed to find the right format for him. 'They're confident they've found that now, and the BBC's loss is their gain.' A TV insider said: 'The scheduling hasn't yet been confirmed but filming takes place in the autumn, and the series is due to air early spring. 'It looks likely to get a Saturday night slot though, but obviously it's all still to play for.' Gary Lineker tears up as he bids emotional farewell to iconic Match of the Day after controversial BBC axe Ant and Dec's long-running show ended in April last year - and ITV have struggled to replace it. Lineker had been a fixture on BBC Saturday night screens for 26 years as host of Match of the Day. For the past eight years, he has been the BBC's highest paid broadcaster. Last month he still topped its annual pay league, earning £1.35million. He was due to quit the BBC after next summer's World Cup but was forced out in May after sharing a controversial post about Zionism on Instagram. 5 The new show is touted as the successor to Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway Credit: Rex 5 Lineker was a fixture on BBC Saturday night screens for 26 years Credit: BBC The dad of four — who had previously faced a string of controversies at the BBC — apologised but accepted his position was 'untenable'. The former Leicester, Everton and Barcelona striker won 80 caps for England. He then moved full-time into broadcasting after his retirement in 1994. His new show The Box has been watched by more than a million people in Norway — a fifth of the population.

Fake or Fortune guest lost for words as painting given five-figure sum

More info A Fake or Fortune guest was lost for words as his painting was given a five-figure sum. Robjn Cantus, who lives near Cambridge, bought more than 30 paintings during a "trolley dash" at an auction house back in 2020. He was particularly excited to pick up a painting by Vera Cunningham, which was one of two items in the same lot attributed to the artist. Robjn paid £35 for the pair, but only wanted one of them. On the latest episode of Fake or Fortune, which aired on Monday (August 4), Robjn was stunned to discover that the "by-product" painting was actually a forgotten original by Frances Hodgkins, which was worth around £50,000, reports the Mirror. (Image: BBC) Hodgkins is regarded as one of New Zealand's most revered expatriate artists. Mary Kisler, an art historian from New Zealand and Hodgkins expert, studied the painting on the BBC show. "You can read Robjn's painting as fitting in to a really large number of Hodgkins' works. When you lay those works side-by-side, you can see absolutely that Robjn's work fits among them," she said. "I do wonder if this is October Landscape," Mary added, referring to a painting by Hodgkins that had not been found. "I think it's a damn good one - I'd love to have it myself." Host Fiona Bruce added: "It's phenomenal... For Robjn, it's the find of a lifetime." (Image: BBC) Speaking to Metro about the staggering valuation, Robjn shared his surprise, saying: "I did wonder if it was the painting of a schoolchild when I first saw it. "I didn't really think much of it, just shoved it into an air-conditioned barn, and it went into my storage area to be forgotten." Robjn also remained adamant that his rare item isn't for sale, adding: "Since filming, I've forgotten about it, really. "For many viewers, the show is all about wealth - but I bought the painting in 2020, and I've got to the end of this journey. "To have it authenticated after trying for all those years is worth more than the value." Fake or Fortune is available to stream on BBC iPlayer
