Watch: Johnson downs champagne and sings karaoke in Capri nightclub
The exuberant display at the popular Taverna Anema e Core club was captured on video and in photographs posted on social media, as the former prime minister also donned a sombrero to cheers from the crowd of revellers.
Mr Johnson was at the party hotspot with his wife Carrie and their two-month-old baby, Poppy.
The family toured Capri's pebbled beaches and mixed with the crowds of summer tourists strolling the quaint streets lined with designer stores, before spending a day on the mainland touring the ancient ruins of Pompeii with the children, it is understood.
'It is great for Capri to see someone like Boris Johnson relaxed on holiday and expressing himself with so much passion,' said a former local politician who did not want to be named. 'It is great for the island's image.'
The couple were spotted at the Gran Caffe in the island's main piazza, before heading to the nightclub around midnight and singing and dancing until 1.30am on Friday.
Mr Johnson, dressed in a brown T-shirt and shorts, was handed a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne emblazoned with a picture of his face.
Local reports suggested that staff had printed copies of Mr Johnson's parliamentary portrait onto the bottle of champagne and the band played the national anthem in his honour.
After swigging his champagne, Mr Johnson was apparently so taken by the music that he jumped up on stage to join the band in a string of hits, including 'Stand by me', 'Hey Jude', ' Mamma Mia' and 'Sweet Caroline.'
He was also spotted waving the Union Jack.
During his late-night partying, Mr Johnson also put a sombrero on his head and waved a Mexican flag.
His wife, meanwhile held their baby to her chest in a sling. The pair appeared in good spirits, laughing and joking and sharing a kiss, in footage posted on social media.
Mr Johnson was featured on the nightclub's official Instagram page, posing with the owner, Gianluigi Lembo, while holding a Union Jack which had his face on it.
The Anema e Core, which means heart and soul in Neopolitan, describes itself as 'la dolce vita' of Capri and has a reputation for late-night partying and rowdy music. Gianluigi took over the taverna from his late father, Guido, and the band continues to play a mix of traditional Neopolitan numbers and modern hits.
It has attracted scores of VIPs and Hollywood A-listers over the years.
Jennifer Lopez took the microphone and gave a spontaneous live performance there last year.
Actors Leonardo Di Caprio, Matthew McConaughey, and Reese Witherspoon have also spent nights in the taverna while on the island.

French PM looks to scrap two public holidays in bold bid to cut national debt
France's Prime Minister François Bayrou has proposed cutting two public holidays as part of a 2026 budget proposal to slash overall spending while also increasing defence suggested axing Easter Monday and 8 May, a day that commemorates the Allied victory at the end of World War Two in Europe. He said the various bank holidays had turned the month of May into a gruyère - a Swiss cheese full of holes - although he added he was open to other suggestions. Bayrou runs the risk of having his budget voted down in parliament in the autumn, which could eventually cause his government to collapse. But on Tuesday he stressed that France - the eurozone's second economy - was "in mortal danger" of being crushed by debt. Standing in front of a lectern emblazoned with the words "The moment of truth", Bayrou spoke for over an hour outlining a series of daring measures that he said should bring the annual budget deficit under include a freeze on public spending for next year, ending tax breaks for the wealthy and a reduction in the number of civil budget also needs to factor in President Emmanuel Macron's call for France's defence spending to rise by €3.5bn (£3bn) next year and then by a further €3bn in the proposal to cut the two May public holidays was the most eyecatching suggestion. It made headlines immediately - and drew condemnation from several sides. The far-right National Rally (RN) party immediately damned it as an attack on French history and on French workers, while Green party leader Marine Tondelier lamented that the day that commemorated victory against Nazism would no longer be a by reporters after his speech, Bayrou said his proposal was "basic arithmetic". "If we want to stay on course, we need to find more than €40bn," Bayrou argued, referring to the €43.8bn France needs to slash from its budget to rein in debt, which he said grows by €5,000 every second. The French government aims to bring the deficit down from 5.8% last year to below 4.6% next year and to under 3% by 2029, Bayrou said. The embattled centrist prime minister has only been in the job since December, following on from the short-lived premiership of Michel Barnier. Barnier's government used executive powers to push his own bill that sought to rein in France's deficit through an even harsher budget than Bayrou's. The move proved unacceptable to the National Rally and left-wing parties, which all voted against Barnier, causing the government to collapse through a no-confidence vote for the first time since same factions are now threatening to do it again when Bayrou's budget is put to a vote in the autumn. Jean-Luc Mélenchon of the radical left France Unbowed (LFI) said that the PM had to be ousted, while RN leader Marine Le Pen accused Bayrou of preferring to "attack the French, workers and pensioners, instead of slashing wastage", and vowed to bring him down "if he doesn't revise his plans".But Bayrou said his government "wanted to change things" to restore public finances and would do so "despite the risk" of a no-confidence last summer's surprise snap election the French parliament has been deeply divided into three blocs that have resisted working together. Another election may well result in a similar Bayrou's government collapses President Macron will have to choose a successor or appoint an unelected technocrat government - neither of which would be palatable to MPs. His own popularity is under 25% and there has been a clamour for him to step down sooner than the end of his second term in 2027 - something he has consistently resisted.

EXCLUSIVE The 'massive' extent of new U.S. lethal arms package to Ukraine revealed as Republicans debate sending more aid
NATO Secretary Mark Rutte said the new flow of arms form the U.S. to Ukraine will be 'massive' – with further munitions packages to follow following talks with President Trump. Rutte described the package in comments to the Daily Mail as he briefed lawmakers on a scheme to use the new financing proposal to funnel lethal weaponry to Ukraine as it staves off repeated Russian drone and missile attacks. The former Dutch PM is meeting with lawmakers still assessing President Donald Trump 's sudden U-turn on Ukraine – if the president applying new pressure on Moscow even while continuing to say American taxpayers have borne too much of the burden, and has publicly refused to pick sides in the war. 'How do you say it in English? Infinite – it's not finite,' Rutte told the Daily Mail between meetings in the Senate. 'This will be packages designed … to make sure that Ukrainians get a handle what they need, of course, taking into account what US can deliver, because you also still have to make sure that you have enough stuff and gear here to defend yourselves,' he said. 'But this is potentially massive. And not only air defense, it is also missiles and ammunition,' he added. He stressed that the proposal is designed to make sure that 'you have enough in stock for yourself,' amid concerns among top Pentagon officials who ordered a temporary pause to aid while it assessed U.S. stockpiles. He said the 'potentially massive air defense, plus missiles and ammunition' packages still had to be arranged at the granular level. 'But NATO is good at this, because we have designed these packages over three and a half years now with Ukrainian.' Rutte spoke a day after meeting with Trump in the office. The president deferred to Rutte in response to a question by the Daily Mail about whether there was a ceiling on what the Europeans are willing to meet. 'It's not that you can have a shopping list and you can order whatever you want, because the U.S. has to make sure that the U.S. keeps his hands on what US needs also to keep the whole world safe. Because in the end, you are the police agent of the whole world.' He brought up Germany and other major NATO allies 'talking about big numbers.' 'They are really enthusiastic about this. They're willing to go very far, I will tell you,' Trump added. As he left the White House today, Trump denied a key element of Financial Times report that Trump had a fiery conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky July 4 where he encouraged the Ukrainian to strike deep inside Russian territory. 'Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow? . . . Can you hit St Petersburg too?' Trump asked his counterpart, according to the report. Asked if Zelensky should target Moscow, Trump replied: 'No, he shouldn't target Moscow.' Trump defended his latest statements toward Russia – that he will impose 'secondary tariffs' after 50 days if there is no deal with Moscow. 'What we decided is us making up its stockpiles available for Ukraine, paid for better Europeans, in a way, of course, that you have enough in stock for yourself. Potentially massive air defense, plus missiles and ammunition. But of course, all the details now will be work through.

Jennifer Aniston teases hot new romance with hunky guru in cryptic post about 'radiating love'
Jennifer Aniston has fans buzzing after packing on the PDA with new beau Jim Curtis during a romantic yacht getaway — and now she's dropping cryptic clues on Instagram. After exclusively revealed the Friends icon, 56, spent the Fourth of July weekend with Curtis, the pair were seen looking every bit the couple in exclusive photos from the Mallorca yacht escape. In one snap, Aniston rested her hand on Curtis' thigh while chatting with friends, and in another, he gently stroked her hair as they lounged on deck — the pair appeared unable to keep their hands off each other. 'She's dating Jim and is very happy, but she's still taking things slowly,' a source previously told adding that Jen — whose exes include Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux — 'feels very connected to Jim, as they have the same level of emotional intelligence, unlike some of her previous suitors.' And now, Aniston appears to be dropping hints about the new man in her life. On Monday, she took to Instagram Stories with a pair of cryptic posts that had fans reading between the lines. First, the Friends alum reposted a tweet that read: 'The Friends theme song was right, no one told us life was gonna be this way' — seemingly referencing an unexpected new chapter in her life. Then came the real eyebrow-raiser: a quote from 'mindfulness expert' Case Kenny that read, 'People who still radiate love in a world that has shown them its darkest sides, please never change.' Fans immediately began theorizing that the message was about Curtis, who's known for his uplifting, love-centric philosophy. Curtis regularly posts inspirational quotes and 'manifestations' to help people 'break free from their past and patterns' to find love - and Aniston has been following him on the social media platform for almost two years. Meanwhile, Jen's Instagram clues came hot on the heels of Curtis expressing how meaningful their Mallorca getaway had been. 'I am back from vacation and what an experience!' he wrote in his newsletter, according to Page Six. 'When I was sick, sad, stuck and in pain I never thought I would have the abundance, joy and love I now experience on a daily basis. 'I just took one step, made one decision and the next followed — now I look back and realize, oh! That course, that life change, that pain, resulted in this magic.' Jim added: 'The same life that brings struggle also brings opportunity. The possibility of something better — more aligned, more free, more meaningful — is always here.' Curtis has had his own share of life-changing challenges. Beginning in the summer of 1995, right after his freshman year at the University of New Hampshire, when he was hit with severe nerve pain that would stay with him for years. An MRI later revealed lesions on his spinal cord, a diagnosis that pushed Curtis to pivot from his 'frat guy athlete' persona and explore a different path focused on healing and personal transformation. He credits a university professor for setting that new course into motion. 'He taught me to meditate and introduced me to the idea of mindfulness: focusing on just being present,' Curtis shared in a 2017 interview. Curtis was previously married to Rachel Napolitano, though their relationship reportedly ended not long after she gave birth to their son, Aidan, who is now a teenager. Aniston, of course, has had her own romantic history in the spotlight. She was famously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 before their headline-making split when Pitt began a relationship with Angelina Jolie while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. She later tied the knot with actor and writer Justin Theroux in 2015, but the marriage ended in divorce three years later. In a 2022 interview, Aniston opened up for the first time about her private struggle to have children — and the emotional toll it took. 'It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,' she admitted. 'All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. 'I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it,' she added. ' 'I would've given anything if someone had said to me, "Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor." You just don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.' Still, Aniston noted: 'I have zero regrets.' As for Theroux, 53, he recently tied the knot again — this time in a secret ceremony with 30-year-old actress Nicole Brydon Bloom. Sources say the news came as a surprise to Aniston, but she didn't hesitate to extend her well wishes. 'Jennifer was one of the first to congratulate Justin on getting married,' a source told DailyMail in March. ' 'Yes, it took her by surprise, but they have maintained a close friendship, and she is happy for him that he has found true love.' The insider added that while Jen is genuinely supportive of her ex's new chapter, there was a tinge of bittersweetness — especially given the age gap between Theroux and his new wife.
