A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after slurry was sprayed on a road in an Irish town in Co Antrim - hours before the town's first Pride parade.

Woman arrested after man dies in suspicious circumstances in Newry
A woman has been arrested after a man died in suspicious circumstances in Co Down on Saturday, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has said. The force said it was contacted at around 12.45pm on Saturday afternoon about a man, aged in his 40s, having sustained a serious injury in the Fisher Park area of Newry. 'Emergency services attended, and the man received medical treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. Sadly, he later died from his injuries,' Det Chief Insp Tom Phillips said in a statement. 'A 50-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in police custody at this time.' Woman (50s) convicted after threatening husband and verbally abusing daughter
The woman, aged in her 50s, pleaded guilty to three breaches of a protection order her husband had obtained against her in September 2024. A woman has been convicted and fined for repeatedly breaching a protection order granted in favour of her husband - with a judge warning of the long-term emotional impact on their child. She appeared before Judge Conor Fottrell at the District Court on Wednesday. The woman, aged in her 50s, pleaded guilty to three breaches of a protection order her husband had obtained against her in September 2024. Gardaí told the court that on one occasion in early October, at the family home, the woman shouted abusive language at her husband, calling him 'useless", "gay" and a 'f**kwit" - leaving him in fear. She also directed verbal abuse at their daughter, calling her 'an itinerant', 'fat' and a 'stupid slut' and shouted 'where are your sluts?', which also left the child in fear.
