Additional DCP Manish Kumar Mishra said, "The airport was declared a 'red zone' on Oct 8, 2022, according to the instructions of the ministry of civil aviation, directorate general of civil aviation and security agencies. There is a complete ban on flying drones or any type of UAVs above and in the vicinity of the airport. This ban has been implemented keeping in mind the security of the airport and monitoring of the airspace."

Mishra further said, "Flying a drone without permission in this area is a punishable offence under the Airports Authority of India Act, 1934, and the rules for UAV operation. Legal action will be taken against any person, institution, or group found violating this instruction. All citizens are requested to follow this rule and cooperate with the security system of the airport."

Two women were killed and three people injured after a number of devotees fell at a religious gathering in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district on Tuesday (August 5, 2025), police said. According to the police, the incident took place around 12 p.m. at Kubereshwar Dham of religious preacher Pradip Mishra due to overcrowding at the ashram. Mr. Mishra, a popular religious figure, is scheduled to take out a Kanwar Yatra from his ashram on Wednesday (August 6, 2025) and had called upon devotees to join him, resulting in large crowds at the ashram. Sehore Additional Superintendent of Police Sunita Rawat told The Hindu that during the distribution of Rudraksha (prayer beads), a woman in the front of a queue fainted and collapsed, due to which some other people also fell, causing injuries to some. 'There was no stampede but some people in a queue had fallen, leading to the incident,' Ms. Rawat said, adding that two people received minor injuries while one woman is currently critical. The Additional SP said that the victims are yet to be identified. Another senior officer said that about 50,000 to 60,000 devotees have been coming to the ashram every day during the month of Sawan, and that most of them hail from outside Madhya Pradesh. 'The responsibility of arrangements inside the ashram is on the management. The police and the administration had no role there. Outside the ashram, we have deployed over 400 police personnel for security but we have no role inside,' the officer said, requesting anonymity. 'Before reaching the ashram, they had gone to a river stream nearby to collect holy water by travelling 12 kilometres each side, and after that they stood in line amid the heat and humidity. This may have been the reason of the woman's fainting,' he added.

Bhopal: A religious gathering convened by self-styled godman Pradeep Mishra at Kubreshwar Dham in Sehore turned tragic on Tuesday morning, as a stampede-like situation claimed two lives and left several others injured. Mishra also organises rudraksha distribution events—rituals that previously drew large crowds and caused traffic chaos in the region. Thousands of devotees from across the country gathered on Tuesday at the Seewan River ghat and Kubreshwar Dham for pre-yatra rituals, including bhandaras, overnight stays, and temple visits. As the crowd swelled and humidity levels rose, several people reportedly fell ill due to suffocation, panic, and lack of space. Sources said the heavy crowd triggered chaos near the temple complex and rest spots, with several devotees fainting due to heat and overcrowding. In one instance, three people reportedly fell during a sudden crowd surge, and two were crushed in the melee, resulting in their deaths. 'Two women have died, and around half a dozen people sustained injuries. The situation is now under control. More than 200 personnel were deployed, and we have increased the deployment further. Traffic diversions, which were planned for August 6, have already been implemented. Currently, there is a crowd of around 60,000, and the influx is ongoing. A large number of women devotees are present,' SP Sehore Deepak Shukla told TOI. 'Both deceased women were aged above 50 and are residents of Maharashtra. Man loses Rs 26 lakh to online cons
Times News Network Chandigarh: Online scammers duped a city resident of Rs 26.50 lakh on the pretext of offering high profits in online stock trading. The cyber cell of the UT police have registered a case and further investigations are on. No arrests have been made so far. In his police complaint, Hallomajra resident Priyank Mishra said that he was surfing the internet on April 27, 2025, when a pop-up ad claiming huge profits in the stock market appeared. Upon clicking the link, he was added to a WhatsApp group where a few people named Nitin Sharma, Tej Kumar Jain, and Nikita Jaiswal claimed to be investment experts and encouraged people to invest money in shares and IPOs. Claims were made in the group about earning lakhs through lectures and quizzes related to investment, and people were given prizes. Mishra said that he started investing through a fake platform in shares on the instructions of fraudsters. The victim allegedly transferred Rs 26.50 lakh to different bank accounts provided by the accused. Mishra alleged that when he asked for his money back, he was threatened with legal action and was told that he could not withdraw such a large amount. The accused allegedly asked him to deposit more money. At this, Mishra approached the police. After verifying the facts, cyber police registered a case against unknown persons and are scrutinising the accounts to which the money was transferred.
