BTS' Jin Reacts As Fans Struggle To Get Tickets For His Solo Tour: ‘It's My Fault'
After ticket sales for his shows in South Korea began, queues swelled to tens of thousands for the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium, which has a capacity of only 2,500 people.
Kim Seokjin, aka BTS' Jin, is soon embarking on his first-ever solo tour. His agency, BigHit Music, made the announcement on Weverse, revealing that the Run Seokjin EP Tour will run from June to August this year. The BTS star will kick off his tour in South Korea with back-to-back performances at the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium on June 28 and 29. But the excitement quickly turned into disappointment for a major section of his Korean fans, who were trying to grab tickets for the shows.
After ticket sales for his shows in South Korea began, queues swelled to tens of thousands for the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium, which has a capacity of only 2,500 people. A fan took to Weverse, a platform that BTS uses to interact with their fans, and shared their struggles of getting a ticket for his show. The person questioned if they should give up trying to buy the ticket as they were behind more than 53,000 people.
Upon noticing the posts, Jin took responsibility and did not shy away from addressing the issue head-on. Adding a lighthearted touch, he, as quoted by Koreaboo, said, 'Woah, I didn't know Seokjinie was this popular!"

Meanwhile, when another fan suggested that the K-pop idol must book a bigger stadium next time, Jin responded, 'Honestly, it was decided on a sudden whim, so there were no available venues… I barely managed to book them all." He took the blame on himself and added, 'It's my fault for not having planned it."

Another fan managed to access the ticket selection screen but was left heartbroken when they saw that no seats were available. Reassuring that person, Jin said, 'I booked the biggest one among the places that were available!" Moreover, the 32-year-old idol also confirmed to his fans that there won't be any encore concerts during his upcoming tour. His honesty and candid replies instantly took social media by storm, with fans especially praising his humility and transparency about his decisions.
Jin, as part of his Run Seokjin EP Tour, will be performing in nine cities, including Chiba, Osaka, Dallas, Newark, London and Amsterdam, with two shows in each city. The tour will begin shortly after Jin's second solo album, Echo's release. Six months after releasing his first solo album, Happy, Jin will release his second on May 16.

What happens when people wish to end their lives peacefully instead of trying to find purpose in a seemingly meaningless path? A skilled doctor steps in to fulfil people's wishes to bring an end to their troublesome journeys. That's the story of the popular Canadian show Mary Kills People, which has now been adapted into a K-drama. Starring Lee Bo Young, Lee Min Ki, and Kang Ki Young, the show brings forth a formidable cast lineup for its run, which begins on August 1. She seeks to help people with terminal illnesses and conducts the painless process of concluding their lives on request. She is helped by Kang Ki Young's character, who uses his own medical expertise to smoothen the process for her. The third and arguably the most important character in the series, Jo Hyun Woo, is played by Lee Min Ki. He is a man with a massive brain tumor diagnosis.
