The plain, pistachio and matcha varieties (I have many troubles to farewell) work surprisingly well dipped into Buttered's frothy Signature Velvet sweet corn drink. It's essentially a corn-flavoured latte, although there are other (much) sweeter flavours including butterscotch, royal chestnut and dalgona, or ppopgi, the traditional Korean honeycomb-flavoured treat made famous in the Netflix series Squid Game.
The counter also holds perfect rows of the signature 'Salty Boi' − salt bread, aka sogeum-ppang. It looks like a cross between a croissant and a dinner roll, made by baking a finger-sized log of salted butter into a coil of cold-fermented dough. The added butter creates a crispy base below the roll's crunchy exterior and soft filling. Pocked with several air holes, the Salty Boi accommodates a lavish spree of sweet and savoury fillings.
The most luscious filling is potato, egg and mayo, followed by butter-glistening garlic cheese. A corn cheese version is swoony and plump and has a lovely pop of sweetness against the bread's saltiness. (That saltiness comes from the salted butter, by the way, not from extra sodium in the dough.) One of the most popular lunch items is the ham, tomato, lettuce and wasabi-mayo Salty Boi. Thanks to the seasoned bread, it's a va-va-voom improvement on the average meat and salad roll.

Former world No. 4 golfer Hunter Mahan has been left unrecognisable as he took a new job as Adam Sandler's body double in Happy Gilmore 2. The iconic comedy had its sequel released on Netflix on Friday and it featured many cameos from the world of golf, The Sun reports. Golf stars such as John Daly, Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka, as well as influencer Paige Spirinac, all took up roles. But Mahan was given the honour of being Sandler's body double in order to show off Happy Gilmore's perfect swing. The former Ryder Cup Team USA star, 43, shared a post on Instagram showing his transformation into Happy. The process saw him given facial hair and a haircut. He also had make-up and a new wardrobe to match Sandler's character. 'When they called and said Happy Gilmore needs a golf swing double, I said say no more,' Mahan wrote. 'Honoured to get to be a part of Happy Gilmore 2 and witness Adam Sandler's comedic genius come to life first-hand! 'Here's a little behind-the-scenes look of my transformation into Happy – shoutout to the hair and makeup team, that crew is incredible and so hard working! 'And some fun from set. 'Such an awesome experience and capped it off by bringing my daughter Zoe to the premiere earlier this week.' ‘Embarrassing': U.S. restaurant co-owner loses job after humiliating influencer and refusing to give her free meal
An American chef has been fired from a recently opened San Francisco restaurant after refusing to give an influencer a free meal and 'embarrassing' her. Karla, known online as @itskarlabb, had organized a collaboration with Kis Café in which she would make a video and the restaurant would give her a free dinner. Karla said she was left in tears following the exchange with co-owner Luke Sung. Picture: supplied. However, the evening took a sudden turn when co-owner Luke Sung demanded the restaurant host show him Karla's TikTok account, according to a video posted to the site by the influencer. Karla, who had 15k followers at the time, said the man was questioning why Karla was chosen for a collaboration. '[Sung] was saying that I have too little followers and that this was a mistake,' she said. 'This is all happening in front of me, and they know that I can hear them.
