Meanwhile, rest of states are on yellow alert except for Rajasthan."Extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) very likely at isolated places over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka on 20th July." IMD said in its latest weather bulletin.Kerala's Kannur and Kasaragod districts are on red alert today, while orange weather warning is in place for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.The IMD has also issued a warning for fishermen in Kerala and Karanataka. 'Squally weather with wind speed 40 - 50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph likely to prevail.'Isolated heavy rainfall is likely in the following regions:Delhi and the Nataional Capital Region will also see increased rainfall in the upcoming week. However, no rainfall alert is in place for the national capital for Sunday, but IMD forecasted, 'Partly cloudy sky. Very light rain.'

The minimum temperature is expected to remain in the range of 28-30 degrees Celsius in most of the districts, and 26-28 degrees Celsius in south-western and north-eastern parts of the state. According to the IMD, Ridge received the highest rainfall of 29.6 mm between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm, while Pragati Maidan and Pusa recorded 1.7 mm and 1.0 mm, respectively, during the same period. Trace rainfall was observed at Lodi Road and Palam. Orange alert: Heavy rain & high waves for Goa

Panaji: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for July 22, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated parts of North and South Goa. The IMD also forecasted moderate to heavy spells of rain and strong winds reaching speeds of 40-50kmph, gusting up to 60kmph in inland areas and along the coast. Fishermen have been strongly advised not to venture into the sea, particularly along and off the South Maharashtra-Goa coasts, until July 25. The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has issued a high wave alert for the Goan coast. From Chapora to Panaji (Malim) in North Goa, and from Santarem Point (Vasco) to Kolamb in South Goa, rough sea conditions with waves up to 3.5m height are expected. The alert remains valid until 8:30 p.m. on July 23. INCOIS has advised caution during marine operations or recreational activity near shorelines. As monsoon clouds gathered on Monday, downpours brought 52.6mm of rainfall to Panaji and 55mm of rainfall to Mopa from 8.30am to 5.30pm. As of this date, Goa has recorded 65 inches of total rainfall since June 1.
