PREVIOUSLY (Feb. 26): Apple Original Films announced that the documentary Bono: Stories of Surrender will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on May 30. In addition, the 'lyrical, bold exploration' of the U2 singer's one-man show of the same name based on his 2022 memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs One Story, will also be the first feature-length film available on the Apple Vision Pro in Apple Immersive Video.
The movie directed by Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James) is described in a press release as, 'a vivid reimagining of Bono's critically-acclaimed one-man stage show, Stories of Surrender: An Evening of Words, Music and Some Mischief…, as he pulls back the curtain on a remarkable life and the family, friends, and faith that have challenged and sustained him, revealing personal stories about his journey as a son, father, husband, activist and rockstar. Along with never-before-seen, exclusive footage from the Beacon Theatre shows, the film features Bono performing many of the iconic U2 songs that have shaped his life and legacy.'
The Apple Vision Pro version will present the film in 8K with Spatial Audio, producing a 180-degree visual that, 'places viewers onstage with Bono and in the center of his story. With this special edition of the film available only on Vision Pro, viewers will feel completely immersed in the music and storytelling of Surrender.'
The movie was produced by RadicalMedia's Oscar- and Emmy-winning duo of Jon Kamen and Dave Sirulnick (Summer of Soul, Hamilton), along with Plan B Entertainment's Oscar-winning actor/producer Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner (Moonlight, 12 Years a Slave), with Bono executive producing with Jennifer Pitcher (Kiss The Future) and Kelly McNamara (V-U2 an Immersive Concert Film at Sphere Las Vegas).
An abridged and updated edition of Bono's memoir — described as 'introspective, intimate and irreverent in equal measure… refined to mirror the arc of his one-man show and featur[ing] a film tie-in book cover and new introduction by the author' — will be released in conjunction with the documentary.

Alien: Earth is one of my five must-see TV shows in August
August is, famously, when the summer movie season starts to draw to a close. Thankfully, TV doesn't have those same lull periods, meaning that there's plenty to look forward to on the small screen in the month of August. I'm particularly excited about Alien: Earth, which will be the first TV show in the Alien franchise and also the first thing in this universe to be set on Earth. Alien: Earth is far from the only thing to be excited about in August, though. Here are five shows I'm particularly looking forward to watching. Chief of War (August 1) This Apple TV+ original is another partnership between Jason Momoa and the studio. This time, Momoa plays a Hawaiian war chief tasked with uniting the tribes of the disparate islands so that they can face off with the colonizers who are threatening their way of life. Recommended Videos The show's cast is composed almost entirely of native Hawaiian actors, and it could be a fascinating look at a part of America that many Americans don't spend much time thinking about. Hopefully, it's a little bit better than See. Chief of War will be available on Apple TV+. Wednesday season 2, Part 1 (August 6) Wednesday was a phenomenon following its first season, and this follow-up is will try to recapture that same enthusiasm. The show, a twist on The Addams Family, primarily follows their daughter, Wednesday, as she is shipped off to boarding school and must make her way through regular teenage life. The show made a star out of Jenna Ortega, and season 2 promises to be even bigger and more star-studded than the first installment. Whether that means it will be better is anyone's guess. Wednesday will be available on Netflix. Alien: Earth (August 12) One of the great mysteries this summer is Alien: Earth, which brings the xenomorph to Earth for the very first time. Plus, the Alien franchise makes its debut on television. While it seems impossible to live up to the best of what this franchise can offer, Alien: Earth will follow a young woman who joins up with a group of tactical soldiers to investigate the crash of a space vessel onto Earth. What they find (which is probably an alien) is left a mystery, but Alien: Earth could expand on the world of the Alien movies in fascinating ways, even if it's not quite as good as that first movie. Alien: Earth will be available on Hulu. Peacemaker season 2 (August 21) Following the success of Supermanin theaters, interest in the new DCU has never been higher. Peacemaker season 2 may reveal more about where this universe is headed, but just as importantly, it will hopefully be an excellent continuation of the show's remarkable first season. The brilliance of John Cena's central performance is worth plenty of praise, but James Gunn managed to find exactly the right supporting cast to put around him. Here's hoping the lore of the DCU doesn't overwhelm a character that's at his best when he's ignoring the rules altogether. Peacemaker will be available on HBO Max. Eyes of Wakanda (August 27) While the DCU might emerge as a real threat to Marvel's supremacy, Eyes of Wakanda could be proof that Marvel still has a few cards left to play. This animated series seems like it will be largely disconnected from the rest of the MCU, as it tells the story of Wakandan warriors who travel around the world to recover vibranium artifacts. The animation looks beautiful, and Ryan Coogler's involvement is a good sign that this show will be a reflection of the Wakanda we've fallen in love with on the big screen. Eyes of Wakanda will be available on Disney+.

iOS 26 Safari lets you pick your own tab design — here's how to do it
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Liquid Glass is giving the whole of iOS 26 a new look, and that becomes readily apparent the first time you fire up the Safari browser on your iPhone after installing the update. But even with the look of the toolbar and tab design changing, you have some say in iOS 26 Safari's layout, thanks to some customization tools that Apple has included in the update. As you may be aware, Liquid Glass is the new interface Apple is introducing across its different platforms — not just for the iPhone, but for tablets, Macs, watches and Apple TV as well. The idea is a more unified experience across Apple's devices and a general streamlining of menus. That's certainly in evidence with the tab redesign in Safari. The new default look is more compact — you get a back button, the URL/search toolbar and a more button that houses remaining controls for adding favorites and bookmarks, sharing a web page and opening new tabs. Those commands appear in a pop-up window that reflect the translucent look of Liquid Glass interface elements. This new default design is certainly minimalist — perhaps too much so for some users. Fortunately, you've got two other options for tab layouts in iOS 26 Safari, including one that will look pretty familiar to long-time iPhone users. Here's how to adjust the appearance of tabs in iOS 26 Safari, followed by some highlights of other changes you'll find in the iPhone's default browser once you install iOS 26. How to change Safari tab layouts in iOS 26 To find the tab layout in Safari that suits you best, you actually need to leave the browser and head to settings. 1. Go to Safari's Settings (Image: © Future) Launch the Settings app, and tap on the Apps section at the bottom of the main screen. On the next screen, find Safari and select it. 2. Change the tab layout (Image: © Future) Go to the Tabs section in Safari's settings and pick the layout you want. You have three choices: Compact, Bottom and Top. Not sure from the silhouettes in Safari settings as to how those tab layouts will look in the browser itself? Here's a closer look at each one. I've already described Compact, which is the default option in iOS 26 Safari. But to repeat, the emphasis here is on a minimalist layout, with most of the tab and bookmark controls available through that more menu on the right side. The emphasis is on the toolbar, where you can type in URLs and search terms as well as tap the control to access web page summaries, hide distracting items on the page, search for specific words on the page or change the font size. Bottom looks a bit more like the tab layout in iOS 18. The toolbar get its own line with back, share, bookmark and new tab buttons immediately underneath. This is actually the design I've opted for, since I find the familiar layout helps make the transition to the Liquid Glass interface feel a bit smoother. Top does exactly what you think it would — the URL and search toolbar moves to the top of the page. The other buttons — back/forward, share, bookmark and new tab — remain at the bottom. This option should appeal to anyone who balked when iOS 15 moved the Safari toolbar to the bottom of the screen. Other iOS 26 Safari changes We should talk a little bit about the toolbar since it's the other interface element that's most directly affected by Apple's Liquid Glass push. As in the iOS 18 version of Safari, the toolbar shrinks as you scroll down a web page, though the transition is a little more fluid in iOS 26. The translucent look of the toolbar also adjusts to reflect the look of the page you're on — see how shaded the toolbar looks up above in the iOS 26 display of Disney's webpage. Safari sees some changes beyond layout in iOS 26, too. Advanced Fingerprinting Protection — a way for the browser to obscure data so that no one sees your digital fingerprint — moves beyond private browsing and into all browsing within Safari in iOS 26. The Add to Home Screen feature has been updated with an option to open any page as a web app so that you can open it in full screen and see it in the App Switcher. iOS 26 Safari outlook Overall, the layout is the big story in iOS 26 Safari. And the addition of customization features is consistent with Apple's approach in some other apps, such as the ability to adjust the look of photo collections in iOS 26 Photos. As with any design change, Liquid Glass will likely divide opinion, with some iPhone users embracing the new look and others objecting to different design elements. But in some apps at least, Apple is giving you the option to adjust the look and feel of Liquid Glass to better suit your taste. 'We're not in Richmond anymore': What we know about 'Ted Lasso' Season 4
Believe it — Season 4 of Ted Lasso has officially begun production, Apple TV+ announced this week. That's right, Coach Lasso, the show's beloved mustachioed and mild-mannered namesake, who helped guide audiences through a global pandemic with optimism and humanity, is back on the football pitch. Well, this calls for biscuits. Filming has officially kicked off in star Jason Sudeikis's (Ted Lasso) hometown of Kansas City, Mo. Mayor Quinton Lucas called it 'another major victory for the city's rapidly expanding film industry,' in a post on X, in which he appears to be sporting a blue Ted Lasso hat. Additional filming is also set to take place across the pond in London. Apple TV posted a video on Instagram of Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Sudeikis are sitting in what appears to be a booth at a traditional American restaurant as some of the key members of AFC Richmond get ready to film a scene. The caption reads: 'We're not in Richmond anymore. Ted Lasso Season 4 is now in production.' The streaming service confirmed back in March that there would be a fourth season. The show has won 13 Emmy Awards and has received a total of 61 Emmy nominations. Barbecue sauce. What can fans expect in Season 4? At the end of Season 3, Ted ends up returning to the U.S. after coaching the fictional AFC Richmond soccer team in London in order to be closer to his son, Henry. The streaming service indicates on its website what fans can expect in the highly anticipated new season: 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.' Do we know when Season 4 will be released or if there's an official trailer? So far, Apple TV+ says a release date for Season 4 is coming soon. No official trailer has been released yet, aside from this week's teaser. Which characters will return? Even though they're not pictured in the promo image, the wise Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) and Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) will be back. Grant Feely will replace Gus Turner as Ted's son, Henry. Other newcomers to join the cast in roles that have yet to be revealed include: Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey and Abbie Hern. Who is not returning? Fan favorites like Nick Mohammed (Nate Shelley) and Phil Dunster (Jamie Tartt) along with Sarah Niles (Dr. Sharon Fieldstone), Anthony Head (Rupert Mannion), Toheeb Jimoh (Sam Obisanya), James Lance (Trent Crimm), Cristo Fernández (Dani Rojas), Kola Bokinni (Isaac McAdoo) and Billy Harris (Colin Hughes) weren't named as regular returning characters in Season 4.
