Vinny confides in Emmerdale legend about trying to kiss Kammy as doubts grow

Metro6 days ago
Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) has got himself in quite the pickle in Emmerdale, having begun to question his sexual identity after getting engaged to a woman whose last ex pretended to be straight in order to scam her into marrying him.
Some weeks ago now, after a close moment between them, Vinny accidentally leant in to kiss Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).
Kammy backed off immediately and it clear he didn't like Vinny that way, but has since been supportive of Vinny finding out who he really is.
His first proper relationship before Gabby (Rosie Bentham) was asexual, so until now he hasn't had the chance to discover where his true sexual identity lies.
He's been in denial to the point that he stepped up his wedding with Gabby in a bid to convince himself that he's straight.
But all that has done is increase the internal turmoil for the awkward lad who has no idea how to back out of it.
Vinny goes full steam ahead on the wedding, still lying to himself, and chats about his impending nuptials with Mandy (Lisa Riley) hoping reassurance from his mum will quell his growing fear. Kammy gifts Vinny a watch for his wedding and again Vinny is left trying to convince himself he's making the right move. More Trending
But, when Kammy is busy at the scrap yard, Vinny watches him work with a lustful gaze and it is patently obvious that Vinny is making a mistake marrying a woman.

The next day, Aaron (Danny Miller) cottons on to the fact that something is amiss when he confesses that he kissed Robert on his wedding day and Vinny reacts weirdly.
Aaron is close to realising what's really going on, Vinny then confesses the truth – that he nearly kissed someone else too. Aaron is sympathetic, but will he read between the lines?

Still conflicted, Vinny looks online for the answers he needs, but disaster is on the cards when he's not careful about his searches. Is Vinny about to accidentally out himself?

Netflix fans have hours to binge ‘gruesome' horror before season 2 finally drops

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Life is about to take a dark turn as one of Netflix's most-watched shows finally returns for a second season. It's been three years since Wednesday landed on our screens with Jenna Ortega portraying the brattiest member of the Addams family and titular gothic teenager. Since coming out, the Tim Burton-directed horror-comedy series has made a lasting impression as the most popular English-language show on the streaming platform, with a whopping 252,100,000 views. For comparison, trailing behind at the number two spot is Adolescence with a respectable, but considerably smaller sum of 142.6 million views. The show offers a new take on the iconic fictional family with a focus on Wednesday as a scathing teen who gets caught up solving a murder mystery with her new roommate (brighter-than-the-sun) Enid Sinclair (portrayed by Emma Myers). Strange creatures, ominous spirits and conniving creatures haunt the corridors of Nevermore Academy – and they must all face Wednesday's brutal wit and sadistic tendencies. If you are one of the few Netflix subscribers who somehow haven't watched the hit series (that is no doubt banking on the same success a second time around), then now is the time to finally catch up. On Google Reviews, Aaron R called it 'creepy, kooky and spooky', adding: 'Jenna Ortega IS Wednesday with a knockout performance worthy of praise, and Tim Burton's distinct vision for the show is stellar. Bottom line is there's a lot of fun to be had here and is certainly worth a binge or two. Go watch it.' 'Jenna Ortega's portrayal of the titular Wednesday is both spot-on and surprisingly nuanced, capturing the character's signature deadpan wit and sharp intelligence while also delving into her complex emotions. 'The series cleverly blends the macabre with teenage angst, creating a unique and darkly humorous world,' Harshasai Gubbala added. Over on Rotten Tomatoes, Collixen D praised it for 'so many twists and turns'. Dan W love its 'dark humour' and Jacob D called it a 'near perfect series' with 'incredible world building'. All in all, the show has secured a steady 85% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes as well as plenty of critical acclaim with 12 Emmy nominations, including four wins. A season one rewatch is sure to whet the appetite for the new episodes which will feature Lady Gaga as a Nevermore teacher alongside a new single, Dead Dance. More Trending The upcoming episodes will also guest star Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton and Joanna Lumley. The creators, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, said about the second season: 'This season, Wednesday's journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore.' Oasis death: Tragic post from Lee Claydon's brother before fatal fall at Wembley

Tributes have been paid for Oasis fan Lee Claydon, who sadly died following a fall at the band's gig on Saturday night. His brother Aaron said his family are 'devastated' A heartbreaking Facebook post reveals the excitement a family of Oasis fans felt before one of them tragically died in a fall at the band's gig on Saturday night. ‌ Aaron Claydon, brother of beloved dad Lee Claydon, said 'today is gonna be the day', a reference to the Oasis smash-hit 'Wonderwall'. He tagged his brother and other family members in the post. ‌ Lee Claydon, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene at Wembley Stadium on Saturday having suffered 'injuries consistent with a fall'. Since the incident, Aaron set up a GoFundMe page in honour of his brother and to help with financial support for his family. It comes after a man brutally kills a woman on first date and leave her body parts around town. ‌ In a touching tribute, Aaron said his brother was the person he 'always looked up to' and that their family has been 'turned upside down' by his death. The family including his partner Amanda is 'struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss", Aaron said ‌ He wrote: 'Lee leaves behind his Son, Dad, Partner , Brothers, Sisters, Nephews and Niece. Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son Harry and was loved so much by all his family. 'Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him so very much. Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games. ‌ "Amanda and the boys have our full support at this very sad time which is why we would love to be able to help them financially as well as emotionally. Please help us raise as much funds as we can to take one worry off Amanda and family right now as they are going through any family's worst nightmare." Paying tribute to the dad on Facebook, his cousin Shannon Gabrielle said: "Honestly don't even know what words to write right now. My cousin Lee tragically passed away this weekend after no doubt having the time of his life at the Oasis concert this weekend, most will have seen snippets in the news I'm sure & as you can imagine it has devastated the whole family and for his closest knit family unit it's the toughest time they are going through ever right now.' "Sharing his go fund me page, in the hope that any donations, big or small, will go a long way towards helping his partner Amanda & the boys throughout this awful period and costs of things. You just don't fathom you will go out for a night of amazing fun & not come home at the end of it." ‌ Oasis fans took to Facebook after the gig. The parent of one gig-goer said her teenage son "saw him falling" but was too far away to see him land. Another woman said the man fell into their block and described what happened 'awful'. Claire Collier wrote: "It happened about [five] mins before the end of the gig, it was awful... thinking of his family and friends and everyone that witnessed it." During the Sunday gig, Oasis dedicated Live Forever to 'all the people who can't be here tonight'. The touching moment came as the Manchester band brought to a close their first run of five gigs at the venue as part of their Live 25 tour. ‌ Addressing fans on Sunday night after finishing Whatever, singer Liam Gallagher said: 'This one's for all the people who can't be here tonight, but who are here if you know what I mean, and aren't they looking lovely. Live Forever.' A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said on Sunday: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.' A spokesperson for the stadium has since told the Mirror: 'Wembley Stadium operates to a very high health and safety standard, fully meeting legal requirements for the safety of spectators and staff, and is certified to and compliant with the ISO 45001 standard. We work very closely and collaboratively with all relevant event delivery stakeholders - including event owners, local authorities, the Sports Ground Safety Authority and the police - to deliver events to high standards of safety, security and service for everyone attending or working in the venue.'
