
Telangana ECET Results Announced, records High Pass Rate
The Chairman of the Council of Higher Education, Professor Balakishta Reddy, announced the results on the premises of Osmania University. The overall pass rate for this year stood at an impressive 93.87%. Notably, every student who took the Metallurgical Engineering, BSc Mathematics, and Pharmacy exams achieved a passing mark.
In a continuation of a longstanding trend, female students outperformed their male counterparts across all departments. Candidates can now verify their results and download their rank cards by entering their details on the official website.

OU, ISRO unite to celebrate National Space Day 2025
Hyderabad: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the University College of Engineering, Osmania University, in collaboration with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, today hosted 'National Space Day 2025'. The event, held at the ECE Department premises, brought together students, faculty, and prominent figures from the space science community. Dr K Chandrashekhar, Group Director of PPEG at NRSC, ISRO, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr Gopalakrishna, Group Head of TEOG at NRSC, ISRO, served as the Guest of Honour. Distinguished participants included Professor Krishnaiah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Osmania University; Professor P Naveen Kumar, Convener and Head of the Department of ECE; and Dr R Srinivas, Head of SPOD at NRSC, ISRO. In his keynote address, Dr Chandrashekhar underscored the pivotal role of ISRO's space activities and the transformative applications of satellite data. He expounded on the significance of celebrating National Space Day 2025, providing an overview of ISRO's remarkable achievements and ambitious future missions. Dr Chandrashekhar particularly highlighted the diverse career opportunities available at ISRO, encouraging students to consider pursuing roles within the nation's premier space organisation. Dr Gopalakrishna elaborated on ISRO's numerous accomplished missions and offered insights into upcoming missions and related technological advancements. Professor Krishnaiah emphasised the critical importance of research and development (R&D) activities in Space Science Technologies, motivating students to deepen their engagement with STEM fields. Professor P Naveen Kumar highlighted the significant contributions of the ECE Department at Osmania University to space technologies and its collaborations with ISRO centres. He urged students to capitalise on the opportunities and resources offered by ISRO for their career development and future endeavours. Dr R Srinivas emphasised the importance of the Chandrayaan missions, particularly ISRO's historic achievement of Chandrayaan-3's successful landing on the lunar south pole. He also briefed the audience on other landmark accomplishments, including Mangalyaan, Aditya-L1, and the unprecedented launch of 104 satellites simultaneously using PSLV C37. As part of the National Space Day celebrations, various competitions were held on July 22nd, with prizes awarded during today's inaugural program.

OU to hold its 84th convocation on Aug 19
Hyderabad: Osmania University has announced that its 84th Convocation is slated on August 19, 2025. This ceremony will celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of its dedicated students. On Sunday, Professor Kumar Molugaram, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, said that Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman of ISRO, Bengaluru, has consented to be the Chief Guest and deliver the convocation address. Jishnu Dev Varma, the Governor of Telangana and Chancellor of Osmania University, will preside over this prestigious ceremony. The 84th Convocation will formally confer degrees, diplomas, and gold medals upon the successful candidates who completed their programs during the academic years 2022-23 and 2023-24. Notably, Ph.D. degrees awarded between November 1, 2023, and August 6, 2025, will also be conferred during this ceremony. Detailed information regarding the application process is available on the Osmania University website. The last date for submitting online applications without late charges is August 7, 2025. Applications will be accepted with a late fee until August 12, 2025. CPGET-2025 set to begin from August 4
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Level Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (TG CPGET-2025), for admissions into various Postgraduate, PG Diploma, and Five-Year Integrated programmes across universities in the state, will be conducted from 4 August to 11 August 2025, according to a press release issued by the Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University. These entrance examinations will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various designated test centres across Telangana, with three daily sessions: morning (9:30 AM to 11:00 AM), afternoon (1:00 PM to 2:30 PM), and evening (4:30 PM to 6:00 PM). Prof I Panduranga Reddy, Convener of TG CPGET-2025, confirmed that the tests cover admissions for Osmania, Kakatiya, Telangana, Palamuru, Mahatma Gandhi, Satavahana, VeeranariChakaliIlamma Women's, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities for the academic year 2025–26. The examination schedule includes: on 4 August, M.A. Economics in the morning; M.A. Telugu and Psychology in the afternoon; and Data Science, Biotechnology - 5 Yr, M.B.A. - 5 Yr, and M.A. Economics - 5 Yr in the evening. On 5 August, M.A. Journalism & Mass Communication will be in the morning; in the afternoon; and MTM, Chemistry/Pharma Chem - 5 Yr, and Geo-Informatics in the evening. On 6 August, M.A. Political Science is in the morning; in the afternoon; and Geography and in the evening. On 7 August, M.A. Public Administration is in the morning; M.A. Hindi and M.A. Philosophy in the afternoon; and M.A. Sanskrit, Geology, Zoology, and M.A. Urdu in the evening. On 8 August, M.A. English is scheduled for the morning; Physics and Food Science & Technology for the afternoon; and M.A. Linguistics and for the evening. On 9 August, M.A. History is in the morning; Computer Science and MSW in the afternoon; and Chemistry and BCESFSFTG&M in the evening.
