Despite fans pleading for a binge-drop of all eight episodes, the creators stuck to a weekly format — keeping audiences hooked, week after week. Now, with one episode to go, the burning question remains: Who killed Roshni? Theories are swirling across social media as fans try to crack the case before Mishra does. All eyes are on July 3, when the truth will finally be laid bare.Criminal Justice, one of India's most riveting crime thriller, is created for Hotstar Specials . The show is an adaptation of the acclaimed 2008 British series of the same name. Written by Shridhar Raghavan and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia, the Indian version dives deep into the complex, emotional, and often harrowing journey of individuals caught in the country's criminal justice system. The series made its debut on April 5, 2019, on Hotstar and was instantly lauded for its intense storytelling and powerful performances. With a cast led by Pankaj Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Jackie Shroff, Anupriya Goenka, and Mita Vashisht, Criminal Justice struck a chord with audiences and critics alike.Following the success of the first season, the show returned in December 2020 with Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors, a chilling tale centred around a seemingly open-and-shut murder case that revealed layers of domestic trauma. The third instalment, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach, premiered in August 2022 and revolved around the murder of a young celebrity, tackling the dark side of fame and adolescence. In May 2025, the franchise returned with Criminal Justice: A Family Matter, its fourth season. Once again headlined by Pankaj Tripathi as the ever-reliable advocate Madhav Mishra, the season explores the murder of a nurse entangled with a powerful family — a case that has kept fans on edge week after week. The series continues to blend courtroom drama with social commentary, cementing its place as one of India's most compelling legal thrillers.
