Teddy Swims reveals non-music career he hopes his unborn child will follow
The 32-year-old Grammy-nominated star is expecting his first ever child with girlfriend Raiche Wright, and is excited to become a parent.
And while the singer, whose real name is Jaten Dimsdale, has enjoyed huge success as a musician, he hopes his son will follow a different path.
Opening up about parenthood to The Hollywood Reporter, the Lose Control singer said, "Man, I'm so excited! My dad is the best father in the world. I think he's second to only Jesus Christ himself, you know what I mean?
"I'm just so excited to plant seeds and raise this kid and see: what's your favourite colour? What are you gonna look like? Do you like Spider-Man?"
Going on to express his hopes about his child's career, the star went on, "What's your thing, you know, are you gonna do music? I hope that I get to get back out on the football field one of these days and tell him to hit somebody (laughs).
"I love to be a musician, of course, but I do want to get back out of the field. I hope he's a little athlete or maybe he's a musical theatre kid. I'm excited to see what this becomes and I'm really excited to watch Raiche become a mother."
Heaping praise on his pregnant partner, the star added, "She's already a mother as her body's changing and watching that and seeing how well she takes care of herself and listens to her body. It's just been such a beautiful thing to watch and it's already changed my life so much. I can't stop smiling and wanting to cry when I talk about it."
Teddy is set to perform at the 2025 Grammy Award which are due to take place in Los Angeles on Sunday 2 February - where he stands to win the Best New Artist Award.

Review: Doechii delivers a hip hop master class at Lollapalooza
No one is having a better year than Doechii. The Florida rapper, 'The Swamp Rula,' released her critically-acclaimed mixtape 'Alligator Bites Never Heal' in August 2024 and hasn't hit the brakes since, taking home the Grammy for best rap album — only the second woman to do so— as well as gracing runways in New York and Paris and putting on some of the most dynamic live performances on and off screen. Bringing us to her Saturday night Lollapalooza set on the T-Mobile stage. With respect to Rüfüs Du Sol, Doechii should've headlined. Welcoming thousands to Doechii's School of Hip Hop, complete with a giant, funhouse-style boombox center stage, she rapped, writhed, and twerked circles around a troupe of dancers (delivering choreography that would make the great, ballroom pioneer Willi Ninja proud) and delivered lessons in bars, flow, genre, scratching and word play for just under an hour. Teasing her own headlining 'Live From the Swamp Tour' by the end, she left everyone wanting more. Doechii is one of a kind. With a looming, unbodied voice ringing out to encourage her ascent throughout her performance, Doechii, grounded by DJ Miss Milan, wielded the power of mania, tension, drama, and queer joy like a spear, piercing any posturing or pretension to free herself and her onstage classmates/dancers from the tyranny of self-doubt and limitations. One of the most versatile vocalists in today's mainstream, she oscillated seamlessly from growled, ruthless rhyme ('Nissan Altima,' 'Nosebleeds,' 'Catfish') and full-throated screams to smooth melodies and big crescendos, like on 'Anxiety.' For the house-flecked 'Alter Ego' — during which she referenced her infamous Met Gala 'umbrella incident' during her outfit change — she welcomed former City Girl member JT to the stage after hinting at a special guest in the days leading up to her Lolla debut. Both women were beaming from the big screens and the fields of the south end of Grant Park were awash in flailing hands and fans snapping in the air. Black girl magic, indeed. With her signature extra-long braids and head-to-toe DSquared2 custom outfits, Doechii covered every inch of that stage bathed in adulation. Classic hip hop and pop samples were woven into interludes throughout her set, including 'Pull Over' by Trina, Doug E. Fresh's 'La Di Da Di' and Beyonce's 'America Has a Problem.' Before delivering her megahit 'Denial is a River,' the unbodied voice — taking a kinder tone— spoke about how every master of something starts as a student. That the importance and interconnection of studying and honoring what you're choosing to dedicate yourself to is just as important as the final result. Then she appeared again. An icon born — the self-proclaimed 'hip hop Madonna,' 'trap Grace Jones,' making all the hard work look effortless, and so damn fun.

"I have officially purchased Ed and Lorraine Warren's home and Occult Museum, including being the legal guardian for at least the next 5 years, of the entire haunted collection including THE ANNABELLE DOLL, with my good friend @eltoncastee!!" Rife posted on Instagram, along with a photo of him and Castee posing with the supposedly demonic doll and other photos of the Warrens at home. "If you know me, you know I'm obsessed with the paranormal and all things haunted. You also may know The Conjuring films are my favorite scary movies of all time. So I'm incredibly honored to have taken over one of the most prominent properties in paranormal history. Ed and Lorain Warren arguably put demonology and paranormal into the mainstream and are the very heart of some of the most famous haunted stories of all time, The Conjuring House, Amityville Horror, et..." Rife said he and Castee plan to open the house for overnight stays and the museum for tours some time in the near future. The Conjuring Universe began in 2013 with The Conjuring and was followed by numerous sequels and spin-offs featuring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Conjuring: Last Rites is set for theatrical release on Sept. 5. Ed died in 2006 and Lorraine died in 2019. The Hollywood Reporter said the house had been open to the public until Lorraine's death, but closed afterwards due to zoning issues.

Coldplay's Grammy-Winning Song Triples Its Sales In One Week
Coldplay's catalog has been climbing steadily for several weeks now, driven up and up by a mix of the momentum generated by the band's ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour, as well as several moments of virality. During the latest leg of the trek, one of Coldplay's older tunes, 'Sparks,' unexpectedly picked up steam on TikTok, becoming a win on the charts thanks to renewed exposure. Around the same time, a kiss cam inadvertently exposed an affair between the CEO and head of HR at a company, and that saga has remained in the news ever since. Amidst all that excitement, several Coldplay classics have bounded up various Billboard charts, and one of the band's most successful singles has returned to a new peak position – and it almost gives the group another No. 1. 'Viva La Vida' Returns to a Pair of Charts 'Viva La Vida' reappears on a pair of rankings in the United States this week, breaking back onto both the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart and the Alternative Streaming Songs tally. The smash lands at No. 14 on the streaming-only list, missing its previously-set high point by just one spot, and it performs significantly better when it comes to purchases. 'Viva La Vida' reenters the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart at No. 2, reaching a new all-time peak. Only 'Punkrocker' by Teddybears and Iggy Pop, which opened in first place last frame, blocks the Grammy-winning track from ruling. Half a Dozen No. 1 Smashes Coldplay has already earned six No. 1 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart. Sales Grew By More Than 200% Sales of 'Viva La Vida' skyrocketed recently, growing more than 200% from one frame to the next. According to Luminate, the former Hot 100 champion sold just under 500 copies one week, and then almost 1,600 the following frame. At the moment, Coldplay fills four spaces on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart, and all of those tunes are mounting comebacks.
