Upcoming phone launches in July 2025: OnePlus Nord 5 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and more

If you are looking to buy a new phone, it might be wise to wait a few more days, as July is shaping up to be a month full of smartphone launches. While OnePlus and Samsung will be the two brands taking the spotlight, there are also a number of smaller but important launches that could offer multiple options for those looking for a new phone on a budget. Here's a look at the top upcoming phone launches in July 2025. OnePlus is all set to launch its latest entrants in the Nord series—the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5—at the Summer Launch Event on 8 July. The new phones will also be followed by the OnePlus Buds 4, the successor to last year's OnePlus Buds 3 launched alongside the OnePlus 12. The OnePlus Nord 5 is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the Nord CE 5 will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, previously seen in the Infinix GT 30 Pro and Motorola Edge 60 Pro. Samsung has confirmed that it will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on 8 July. While the company hasn't officially revealed the devices it will launch, it is all but certain to unveil the new Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold lineup. Apart from the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is also reported to be launching the Galaxy Z Flip FE and the Galaxy Watch 8 series at the event. A new Galaxy Buds lineup could also make its debut, along with potential hints about Samsung's latest One UI 8 update. Madhav Sheth-led smartphone brand AI+ will launch its first set of devices on 8 July. The first two models from the company, called Pulse and Nova 5G, will also be available on Flipkart and Shopsy. According to a dedicated Flipkart microsite for the Nova 5G, the phone will feature a 50MP primary camera and come in five colour variants. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery and support up to 1TB of expandable storage via microSD card. Tecno Pova 7 will debut in India on 4 July. The new phone will feature customisable lights around the camera module, which Tecno calls the Delta Light interface. If it follows its global counterpart, it could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and come with a 6,000mAh battery and 70W wired fast charging. Honor has confirmed it will soon launch a new smartphone in India, the Honor X9c, which will be an Amazon exclusive. While there is no confirmed launch date yet, the phone is likely to debut in July. The Honor X9c is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,000 nits of peak brightness. It is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 specs leak ahead of July 9 Unpacked Event: Here's what to expect

Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event is set for 9 July, and the company is expected to unveil its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. A new leak has revealed alleged specifications for both devices, pointing to slimmer designs and upgraded displays. According to details shared by tipster Setsuna Digital via Weibo, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could feature an 8-inch internal display paired with a 6.5-inch external screen. The device is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. Design-wise, it may incorporate an aluminium frame and a glass ceramic back panel. It is tipped to measure 8.9mm in thickness when folded and just 4.2mm when open, weighing around 215 grams. This would make it significantly thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which comes in at 12.1mm folded and 239g. The Fold 7 is also said to include a 10MP selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view. Moreover, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also expected to receive several upgrades. It may come with a 4.1-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch internal screen, both offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits peak brightness. This could mark a notable step up from the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which features a 3.4-inch outer screen and 6.7-inch main display. Battery capacity could also see an improvement, with the Z Flip 7 rumoured to house a 4,300mAh unit, up from the 4,000mAh battery found in the previous generation. The new model is tipped to measure 13.7mm when closed and 6.5mm when open, and weigh 188g, offering a sleeker profile than its predecessor. In addition to the new foldables, the 9 July event is also expected to include the launch of updated Galaxy smartwatches and earphones. Pre-reservations for the upcoming devices have already opened in India.

Final Call for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow: Your Idea Could Be the Next Big Solution

Across cities and classrooms, from the heart of New Delhi to the bylanes of Kolhapur, thousands of students have stepped forward with one bold belief — 'I can solve for tomorrow.' Now, as the last leg of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow roadshows draws to a close, the countdown begins for India's young changemakers to turn their ideas into action. June 30 is the final day to apply for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow — a national innovation competition for 14-22-year-olds that has already ignited a movement across the country. Launched on April 29, 2025, the programme empowers students across India with design thinking tools, mentorship from Samsung and IIT Delhi experts, investor connects, prototyping support, and a chance to win INR 1 crore. But more than the prize, what truly defines this programme is purpose. Over the past weeks, open houses and roadshows have brought together students with extraordinary vision. In Delhi-NCR, students dreamt up mental health apps and AI-driven solutions for pollution. In Gujarat and Maharashtra, ideas around sustainable packaging, heritage revival, and inclusive education found a stage. In every city, one message rang clear — young India is ready to build real-world solutions for real-world problems. Now, it's your turn. Aakash, a student from Pune, added, 'I stopped waiting for the 'right time' and started building. Solve for Tomorrow made me believe my idea mattered.' Their stories are just the beginning. Yours could be next. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is not about being a genius coder or a tech expert — it's about empathy, curiosity, and the courage to try. It's for students who dream of a cleaner city, safer roads, healthier communities, and a future where no voice is left unheard. And if you're reading this, maybe it's for you.
