Courrèges' Nicolas Di Felice calls on his community to shoot latest campaign

Fashion Network04-06-2025
Courrèges creative director Nicolas Di Felice handed over the reins to muses within his community this season to shoot his new men's and women's Spring 2026 pre-collection, which was presented to buyers in Paris on Tuesday.
Unveiled inside Espace Commines in the Marais, the spiffy yet more relaxed collection comes at a time of rapid growth for the house of Courrèges, which in the past 18 months has opened four new boutiques in Korea alone.
Inspired by the Mirrors of Paris social media phenomenon, Di Felice entrusted over a dozen models and friends of the house to shoot selfies in his latest collection as they roamed around the City of Light. 'Tis a far cry, and a welcome change, from the white cube show-spaces favored by Di Felice in his dramatic must-see shows during the Paris catwalk season.
For next spring, Nicolas revamps classic Courrèges ideas for today, like employing the signature belt as chokers of taut check tops, patent leather slingbacks or curvy blousons.
There is plenty of drama — from bravura cutaway skirts in denim or techy stretch, to slashed airtex dresses, to body-con open-back tops paired with biker shorts. Though overall, the clothes are cut more forgivingly — as was evident in a tour of the racks — and more targeted at the 40-something fans of the label.
All told, 18 muses turn their cameras on themselves – from the likes of Apolline Rocco Fohrer, Elodie Guipaud and Axel Gay to Jacqui Hooper, Stella Hanan, Nastassia Legrand and Samuel Elie.
Roving around the canals, bridges, squares and cobblestone quays of the Seine, in an intriguing shoot styled by veteran though ever-fresh stylist Marie Chaix, with casting by Piergiorgio Del Moro.

Courrèges expands across Seoul with new Galleria East store

French fashion house Courrèges announced on Tuesday the opening of a new standalone store in Seoul's Galleria East, the fourth location for the Paris-based brand in the Korean capital. Located on the third floor of the Apgujeong-based shopping precinct, the new Galleria East store riffs on the design codes of the Courrèges historical flagship store on Rue François Premier in Paris, which reopened in September 2020, under the design helm of artistic director, Nicolas Di Felice. Set to the backdrop of the accessible luxury brand's s iconic color white, laced with mirrored walls and minimalist furniture and display fixtures, local customers will discover Courrèges' men's Fall/Winter 2025 and women's Pre-Collection Fall/Winter 2025 collections, along with the brand's shoes, bags, jewelry, and perfume. The space puts extra emphasis on the brand's Holy bag, a streamline bag reworked from a house archive and launched in February 2024 by Di Felice, as well as its Holiday bags, according to a press release. The Galleria East opening comes after three other store launches for Courrèges in Seoul's Gangnam, Busan and Myeong-dong areas, respectively, and forms part of the brand's strategy of opening stores in fashion centers such as the Marais, in Paris, Soho, in New York, and in Asia, including South Korea. Founded in 1961 by André and Coqueline Courrèges, the Courrèges brand operates a total of 11 stores around the world, including France, the U.S. and South Korea.
