Ideal Property Group, in a statement today, stressed that the group operates with strict adherence to the law and ethical business principles, while the organisation is committed to maintaining the highest levels of professional integrity and operational transparency.
'Recently, Ideal Property Group has come across fake news and false postings on uncredited social media, falsely alleging the investigation and arrest of our group executive chairman in connection with the authorities' investigation into the MBI Group.
'Ideal Property Group strongly refutes the false and malicious allegations and categorically denies these baseless and defamatory statements,' according to the statement posted on Facebook.
To address this, Ideal Property Group has lodged a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the police and will take immediate legal action to protect its reputation.

On April 22, police arrested five more individuals, including two bearing the titles Tan Sri and Datuk Seri, believed to be proxies and business associates involved in a Ponzi-type investment scam linked to MBI.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Team on Money Laundering (AMLA) under the Inspector-General of Police's Secretariat (USKPN), Datuk Muhammed Hasbullah Ali, said that besides arresting the five individuals, police have also seized three durian orchards spanning nearly 900 acres, valued at RM223,624,167, located in Raub, Pahang; Jawi, Penang; and Tasek, Kedah.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain was previously reported to have said that eight individuals were arrested and assets worth RM3.17 billion were seized in connection with the fraudulent scheme.

Tariff Uncertainty To Weigh On Bursa Malaysia Next Week

WORLD By Harizah Hanim Mohamed KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- The risk of higher United States (US) tariffs on Malaysia as the Aug 1 deadline draws near is likely to weigh on Bursa Malaysia next week, although domestically-oriented counters are expected to remain relatively resilient, supported by firm internal demand and fiscal tailwinds. UOB Kay Hian Wealth Advisors Sdn Bhd head of investment research Mohd Sedek Jantan said volatility is expected to intensify as markets approach a critical inflection point in global trade policy. 'Domestically-oriented counters on Bursa Malaysia are likely to remain relatively resilient. However, export-driven sectors may continue to face pressure in the absence of a favourable resolution to the tariff negotiations,' he told Bernama. He noted that no formal announcement has been made on the revised US tariff schedule for Malaysia. 'Should Malaysia succeed in securing a rate below the symbolic 20 per cent threshold, we anticipate renewed investor interest, particularly in the manufacturing and electrical and electronics sectors. Until then, most investors are expected to adopt a wait-and-see approach, prioritising capital preservation over risk-taking,' he said. Regionally, market focus is shifting towards renewed US–China trade diplomacy as Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng is set to lead high-level negotiations in Sweden from July 27–30, ahead of the expiry of the 90-day tariff suspension on Aug 12. 'The outcome will be instrumental in shaping regional trade sentiment and broader market tone heading into August,' Mohd Sedek said. Globally, investor attention remains fixed on a packed US macroeconomic calendar, particularly with the upcoming the Federal Open Market Committee meeting on July 30, the June Personal Consumption Expenditure inflation print and July non-farm payrolls, which will provide important policy signals.

Ringgit Likely To Trade Within RM4.22-RM4.24 Vs Greenback Next Week Ahead Of Fed Decision

WORLD By Fatin Umairah Abdul Hamid KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- The ringgit is expected to hover between RM4.22 and RM4.24 next week as the US Federal Reserve (Fed) is anticipated to maintain its policy rate, said an analyst. Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said this outlook is tied to the upcoming Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting, scheduled for July 29–30, 2025. "Based on the interest rate futures market, the Fed is likely to keep the Federal Funds Rate steady at 4.50 per cent. Technical indicators suggest that the US dollar-ringgit exchange rate is currently in a neutral zone," he told Bernama. Meanwhile, SPI Asset Management managing partner Stephen Innes expects the ringgit to trade within a relatively narrow range of 4.2080–4.2280, with trade-related headlines and external sentiment continuing to drive short-term direction. On a Friday-to-Friday basis, the ringgit ended the week better against the greenback, closing at 4.2195/2245 versus 4.2410/2455 previously. However, the local note traded lower against a basket of major currencies. The ringgit depreciated vis-à-vis the Japanese yen to 2.8529/8565 from 2.8517/8549 and declined versus the euro to 4.9507/9566 from 4.9336/9388 at the end of last week. However, it gained against the British pound to 5.6786/6853 from 5.6999/7060 last Friday.

Israeli airstrikes kill 44 in Gaza, targeting displaced civilians and aid seekers

GAZA CITY: Israeli airstrikes on Friday killed at least 44 Palestinians and wounded dozens more, with attacks focusing on schools sheltering displaced families, tents, and civilians waiting for humanitarian aid, according to medical sources and witnesses. Among the deadliest strikes was one on Al-Qahira School in Gaza City, where thousands of displaced civilians had taken refuge. Medical sources confirmed five fatalities, including a child, with 10 others injured. Witnesses described scenes of chaos as families fled the area, with one child arriving at Al-Shifa Hospital with an amputated arm. Earlier, an Israeli strike near the Zikim area, north of Beit Lahia, killed at least 15 people and injured around 250 others as they waited for aid trucks. Another attack in the Zeitoun neighbourhood, southeast of Gaza City, left two dead and three wounded. In Rafah, southern Gaza, a Palestinian waiting for aid was reportedly shot dead by Israeli forces. Additional strikes in Gaza City's Al-Tuffah and Al-Rimal neighbourhoods killed four more, including those sheltering in schools. The Israeli military has continued its offensive despite international calls for a ceasefire. Since 7 October 2023, more than 59,600 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children. Starvation-related deaths have also risen due to aid blockades and distribution challenges. - Bernama-Anadolu
