Village pub's annual dog show brings lots of laughs despite rain
Dogs of all shapes and sizes were entered into a variety of categories at the Fox and Hounds in Lulsley, near Worcester, including waggiest tail, best trick, best presented and judges' favourite.
This year marked the pub's eighth dog show, which has got bigger each year.
Despite the rain, all tables in the beer garden were taken up by competitors of all ages, alongside their four-legged friends.
"This is the eighth year we've done it. It gets bigger and bigger each year, apart from this year because of the weather," said manager Tom Clarke.

"It's not Crufts or anything. Sometimes you go to these dog shows at village fetes and things and it's really competitive and not fun.
"It's a couple of quid. You can have a bit of a laugh, beer and pizza - what more do you want?"
Jayne Symonds and daughter Hannah Gilks have become regular competitors over the years, with their cocker spaniels Ralph and Ted.
"We come every year, it's good fun," Ms Symonds said. "We've entered them into lots of categories."
Councillor Sarah Rouse, who represents Alfrick, Leigh and Rushwick on Malvern Hills District Council, also came along with her dog Chip.
She said: "It's always been a great community event, it gets loads of people together.
"It's nice to see all the dogs and it's really good fun."
The show kicked off with the best presented category, won by cocker spaniel Ted who donned a multicoloured vest.
Next up was the dog and owner lookalike category, with one owner wearing ears and a matching hoodie to win. The matching hoodie was a hit with the judges, meaning lurcher Romeo took first place.
One of the most successful competitors was Ronan, who took home prizes for being the best pup - a category for dogs under two - and judges' favourite.

Season 4 Of 'Ted Lasso' Is Officially In Production — And We Have A First Look
The hit Emmy-winning series Ted Lasso has been 'exhumed,' as star Hannah Waddingham put it. The Apple TV+ juggernaut, which was once believed to end after season 3, is officially making its return. Here's everything we know about Ted Lasso's next season. Yes! In March 2025, it was announced that Ted Lasso would return for a fourth season. In a statement about the renewal, per Variety, Sudeikis said: 'As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to 'look before we leap,' in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it's exactly where they're meant to be.' Here's the official logline from Apple: Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would. Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, and Brendan Hunt are all confirmed to return. When asked about returning for a fourth season of Ted Lasso, Waddingham said, 'It feels like it was the most beautiful, beloved dog that was buried, and now we've exhumed it, and I am here for it. I was hankering and hankering and hankering and hankering to see where Rebecca had gone, where she was going to. She's my girl. She's in my bloodstream, so I'm thrilled that it's been exhumed.' She continued, 'I can't wait to get involved with that and put my penneth in and go shopping for her looks.' Season 4 will also have a few new additions: Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Jude Mack (Such Brave Girls), Faye Marsay (Adolescence), Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World Dominion), Abbie Hern (My Lady Jane), and newcomer, Rex Hayes. Their roles have not yet been announced. Grant Feely will also join the cast and step in as Ted's son, Henry, a role previously played by Gus Turner. Yes! On July 21, Apple TV+ announced that production was underway. Principal photography began today in Kansas City, and additional filming will take place in London. Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, and more are all smiles in 'Ted Lasso' season 4 first look
Biscuits with the boss look a tad different in the first look at season 4 of Ted Lasso. Apple TV+ released the first look at Jason Sudeikis, Jeremy Swift, Hannah Waddingham, and Juno Temple in the upcoming fourth season of the Emmy-winning series as production officially begins Monday in Kansas City, with additional filming set to take place in London. Swift (as Leslie Higgins), Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Temple (Keeley Jones), and Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) are gathered around a booth in a sun-drenched diner in the photo. Brett Goldstein, also a writer and executive producer on the dramedy, and Brendan Hunt, series co-creator, are also set to reprise their roles as Roy Kent and Coach Beard, respectively. The new season will follow Ted as he returns to Richmond to tackle his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would," per the the crew are series newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely, the latter of whom will be stepping in as Ted's son, Henry. Though initially conceived as a three-season series by Sudeikis and his co-creators, the show received a surprise season 4 renewal back in March. The Apple TV+ juggernaut debuted 2020 and introduced Sudeikis' fish-out-of-water American football coach who is hired to manage a British soccer team. Goldstein memorably compared the return to the resurrection of a dead cat while speaking to NPR in April. "I have a friend that I went to university with, and I think about this a lot," Goldstein recalled. "He had a cat that died. He loved his cat. And the cat was run over, and they buried the cat. He was a child. They buried the cat in the garden, and he lay in bed so sad, so upset and crying, and he prayed and he wished, 'I wish the cat would come back.'" "And then the cat did come back, and it turned out the cat they buried wasn't their cat," he continued. "I think about that all the time. I'm like, no wonder this guy is f---ed in the head, because he thinks death isn't real, so of course he's insane. He's such a weird guy 'cause he thinks he can bring things back from the dead." Resurrecting the show felt like that cat's resurrection, he said. "I guess I'm saying I feel like that kid. Like, we buried it. We all cried, we had a funeral. Are you saying we can bring anything back?' It's too much power.' Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

Apple TV Plus drops first look at 'Ted Lasso' season 4 — here's who's confirmed to return
'Ted Lasso' season 4 is finally happening, with filming now officially underway. After weeks of scarce updates, fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Hannah Waddingham recently confirmed that 'Ted Lasso' season 4 would start filming in July (which is now clearly true), and Apple CEO Tim Cook shared a first look at the new season on Twitter ( currently known as X). The image, featuring returning cast members Jason Sudeikis, Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, and Waddingham herself, is the clearest sign yet that AFC Richmond isn't hanging up its cleats just yet. Apple TV Plus also released a quick heart-warming video featuring the 'Ted Lasso' characters sharing laughs and bonding around a diner table, giving fans a cozy sneak peek at the team's dynamic in season 4. While season 3 wrapped up in a way that felt like a series finale, the creative team always left the door open. Now that 'Ted Lasso' season 4 is official, it might not be the same story fans are used to. Co-creator Bill Lawrence has hinted at a new direction, saying season 4 would tell a 'different story,' and even described it as 'almost a self-reboot.' Although season 4 is still planned to take place in London, filming is reportedly beginning in the United States. Since the season 3 finale showed Ted heading back to America, it's likely that the new season will pick up from that moment. Judging by Cook's post, this moment could easily serve as a strong and fitting way to start the season. Whether it's a continuation, a soft relaunch, or a whole new direction, one thing is clear: the world of 'Ted Lasso' isn't done just yet. And with production underway, fans can start getting excited for what's next. As production for 'Ted Lasso' season 4 is underway, several key cast members are set to return, along with some new faces. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Jason Sudeikis will, of course, lead the new team as Coach Ted Lasso. Hannah Waddingham reprises her role as Rebecca Welton, the club's owner. Juno Temple brings her vibrant energy back to the team as Keeley Jones, while Brett Goldstein continues as Roy Kent, the seasoned veteran whose passion and experience remain a driving force on and off the field. Jeremy Swift reprises his role as Leslie, the team's operations director. Brendan Hunt returns as Coach Beard, Ted's loyal assistant whose unique coaching style adds a distinctive touch to the team's strategy. Additionally, Grant Feely has been cast as Henry, Ted's son, marking a recasting from previous seasons. The cast will also welcome several new faces, including Faye Marsay, Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Abbie Hern, Rex Hayes, and Aisling Sharkey. While their exact roles remain under wraps, it's likely they'll be playing members of the revamped AFC Richmond women's team. Apple hasn't announced an official release date for 'Ted Lasso' season 4 yet, but expect more updates as production progresses. In the meantime, all three previous seasons of 'Ted Lasso' are available for streaming on Apple TV Plus.
