On this Fourth of July, television networks are offering live fireworks, musical performances, eating contests, patriotic specials and themed marathons. With so many choices, viewers can enjoy hours of programming without leaving home. Here is a detailed guide to everything airing on July 4, 2025.CNN will air The Fourth in America on July 4 from 7 p.m. ET to 1 a.m. ET. The special will showcase fireworks from cities including Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Nashville, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
Musical performances include Noah Kahan, Sting, Lainey Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Timbaland, The Fray, CAKE, Ice Cube, Sublime, Kaskade, 4 Non Blondes, Ashley McBryde, Vanilla Ice, Young MC, and The United States Air Force Band.Hosts for the evening are Dana Bash and Boris Sanchez from Washington, D.C., and Victor Blackwell and Sara Sidner from San Diego.The program airs on CNN and CNN International and streams live for pay-TV subscribers through CNN.com and CNN apps.

Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest will air live on ESPN from 10:45 a.m. ET. This year, 16-time champion Joey Chestnut returns. The women's competition begins at 10:45 a.m. ET on ESPN3. The men's contest airs at noon ET on ESPN2.Jeremy Schaap and Rich Shea will host the event. Replays are scheduled at 5 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, and 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2.NBC's Macy's 4th of July Fireworks airs live at 8 p.m. ET. The event is hosted by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose and features performances from The Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, Lenny Kravitz, Ava Max, Keke Palmer and Trisha Yearwood.Fireworks will be launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and East River. The musical score is by Questlove and James Poyser. DeBose will also give a vocal performance.NBC will re-air the event at 10 p.m. ET. Peacock and Telemundo will also stream the event, with Telemundo's coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET.PBS will present A Capitol Fourth at 8 p.m. ET, hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro.
