Can't escape the term nepotism, but I don't believe in it: Aayush Upendra
Much before he's even come on the big screen, Aayush Upendra is a sensation through his reels revolving around biking and now has a sizable fan following of his own on social media. 'Coincidentally, these reels caught the attention of director Purushottam, who sent me a message online about the possibility of doing a film. The character in my debut film will see me playing a bike enthusiast. He said he could feel the freedom I experience on the road and how alive I become on my rides. The role in the film also captures that spirit. He's also playful and a fitness freak, just like me. And here we are today, poised to go on set soon,' smiles Aayush, clearly excited about his big debut. If my dad (Upendra) ever feels a character in his film suits me, I'd be honoured to do it. But they know I like to work hard and earn it Aayush Upendra 'I'M PROUD TO HAVE LANDED THIS FILM ON MY MERIT' My parents, Upendra and Priyanka, are self-made, and they've always taught us to earn what we want. The director saw potential in me, not in my surname. Yes, I took my parents' opinion before signing on. But this is not a typical star kid's launch. For me, they're just my parents. And I'll always just be their kid. I am my father's (Upendra's) son, but I haven't made it big like him. I only hope to carry forward his legacy and stay humble to my Kannadiga roots, just like he did Aayush Upendra 'NEPOTISM IS A CONVERSATION STARTER FOR MANY' Even though I don't believe in nepotism, it is something I can't escape. I've always loved acting and worked hard to prepare, through college, plays, and drama. Nothing has been handed to me, unlike what others may think. 'ONE NEEDS TO HAVE A THICK SKIN TO MAINTAIN A SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE' Life today is all about technology, phones, and social media. I enjoy it, but I'm also aware that one small mistake can bring in a lot of criticism. That's why I don't take myself too seriously. And until I accomplish something, I don't want people to celebrate me. My mother (Priyanka) is a guiding force—she's always ensured that we kids have stayed grounded Aayush Upendra

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Day 2 box office collection: Pawan Kalyan's film mints THIS amount as numbers dip
'Hari Hara Veera Mallu – Part 1: Sword vs Spirit' witnessed a significant drop in box office collections on its second day, Friday (Day 2), after a strong start earlier in the week. The film collected ₹ 6.17 crore on Day 2, bringing its total earnings in India to ₹ 53.67 crore. The film, which opened with ₹ 12.75 crore on its preview day (Wednesday), gained momentum with a massive ₹ 34.75 crore collection on its official opening day (Thursday). However, the Friday dip suggests a cooling off in audience enthusiasm despite strong regional appeal. The Telugu version continues to dominate the numbers, with minimal contributions from dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. On Day 1, the Telugu collection stood at ₹ 34.65 crore out of ₹ 34.75 crore total, indicating where the film's core strength lies. In terms of theatre occupancy, Day 2 saw a decline across key regions. Telugu 2D occupancy was recorded at 17.75% for morning shows, 20.17% in the afternoon, and 27.21% by evening. Among cities, Warangal reported the highest occupancy at 31%, followed by Mahbubnagar at a surprising 45.33%. Other regions such as Hyderabad (25.67%), Vijayawada (25.33%), and Kakinada (26.33%) remained strong. Meanwhile, metro cities like Mumbai (12.67%) and Delhi NCR (7%) posted much lower figures. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and starring Pawan Kalyan, the historical action drama is positioned as a major cinematic event. However, the sharp fall on Day 2 could be a concern for long-term sustainability, especially with the weekend footfall now crucial for the film's momentum. Whether 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu 2' can regain its pace over the weekend remains to be seen, but its performance so far has been a mix of strong starts and quick slowdowns—typical of star-driven regional blockbusters.
