Those who are unsure about the MBBS allocation find it difficult to decide whether to go for admission this year or give another attempt next year. If govt speeds up the process of announcing the merit list, these decisions are easier to make.
"
Schedules for courses like master's degrees in computer application, engineering, architecture, pharmacy, and bachelor's courses in design, education, and nursing have not been announced yet.
For NEET MDS (postgraduate dental), the registration for state quota seats has begun and will continue until July 3 on the CET Cell's official website. The provisional merit list will be announced on July 4.
Students can submit their preferences from July 4 to 6, and the first seat allotment list will be released on July 8. Admission confirmation for this round is scheduled from July 9 to 13.
Officials from the state CET Cell said, "Students are encouraged to regularly check the website for timely updates for the remaining courses.
As and when we get instructions from the authorities, we will make the announcements. Students should be patient."
Rohan Rajguru, a postgraduate management aspirant said, "The annual schedule of exams, results, and admission timetable should be announced in advance to make it convenient for students. Candidates can plan their careers based on these schedules. These days, students are looking at several options within India and abroad, so govt should ensure that students get optimum time to make applications at multiple opportunities by announcing the admission schedule at least one year in advance.

Sawan 2025: When it begins and ends, why it matters, and what devotees do during the holy month

As the rain begins to fall and the air turns cooler, people in many parts of India start getting ready for something more than just the monsoon– the month of Sawan. It's a time that's closely linked with Lord Shiva and holds a lot of spiritual meaning for his followers. All through this month, many people follow simple but meaningful traditions– like visiting temples, saying daily prayers, and fasting on Mondays, which are considered extra special. Some even start a longer fast called Solah Somwar Vrat, where they fast every Monday for sixteen weeks. On Tuesdays, many women also keep a fast called Mangal Gauri Vrat to pray to Goddess Parvati for their family's well-being. Even though the customs are mostly the same everywhere, the exact dates of Sawan change from place to place. That's because different parts of the country follow different calendars, so the month begins and ends at different times depending on where you are. The significance of Sawan in Hindu tradition Sawan, which is also called Shravan, is believed to be a time when prayers to Lord Shiva are especially powerful. One of the main traditions during this month is fasting on Mondays, known as Shravan Somwar. Some people also begin the Solah Somwar Vrat during this time, where they fast every Monday for 16 weeks, even after Sawan ends. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Tuesdays are also special for many families. On Mondays, a lot of devotees choose to fast. Most avoid regular meals and eat only fruits, milk, or light vegetarian food without onion or garlic. Shiva temples are usually busier than usual, as people come to offer water, belpatra, and milk to the Shivling. Some also follow the Solah Somwar Vrat, where they keep this Monday fast for 16 weeks in a row– even after Sawan is over. On Tuesdays, many women perform the Mangal Gauri puja at home. They offer prayers to Goddess Parvati, often with small rituals done in the morning or evening. Sawan is more than just a religious month– for many, it's a way to reconnect with faith through discipline, routine, and intention. As 2025 approaches, the dates may vary across India, but the spirit of the month remains the same– deeply personal and quietly powerful.

TN to start van service for tribal students facing dangerous school commutes across various districts

CHENNAI: In a move aimed at improving access to education in remote tribal areas, the Tribal Welfare Department of Tamil Nadu will soon begin operating 23 micro vans covering 56 primary schools across six districts. The initiative targets tribal regions in Tiruchy, Dharmapuri, Salem, Kallakurichi, Erode, and the Nilgiris. It is expected to benefit over 2,000 children who currently face numerous challenges, including dangerous forest paths, unreliable transportation, and harsh weather conditions on their daily journeys to school. "For years, one of the challenges we have observed is that students often do not return to school after long weekends or term holidays, even though all tribal schools have residential facilities," said an official from the department. "This issue, coupled with difficult terrain and safety concerns along forest routes, leads to gradual dropouts and prolonged absenteeism, severely impacting learning outcomes," he said. In response, the state government has issued an order allocating Rs 3.6 crore for the procurement of the 23 micro vans. The move follows a pilot project launched at the end of the previous academic year, which saw micro vans operating to four schools in the Kalvarayan Hills of Kallakurichi district. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo According to the government, the pilot project led to a significant improvement in student attendance, prompting officials to expand the initiative statewide. Under the scheme, clusters of nearby schools have been identified so that each van can cover multiple schools in a single route. "The scheme has been designed in such a way that it benefits the maximum number of children possible," the official said. The micro vans are expected to begin operations within the next two months. They will be run in partnership with NGOs operating in these districts to ensure effective implementation and monitoring. Stories of children trekking long and treacherous forest paths to access education remain common in many tribal areas across Tamil Nadu. Officials hope that this transport initiative will address these long-standing barriers, reduce dropout rates, and ensure consistent attendance. "We want to make sure that children are not deprived of an education simply because of where they live," added the official. Is your child ready for the careers of tomorrow?
