While speaking during CCXP Mexico, the host gave John Cena a Lucha Libre mask and prompted the WWE champion to bring Juan Cena on stage.
laughed and thanked them for giving them
, saying he wasn't sure if fans would want him to wear it, saying, 'Ah yes, Lucha Libre! Yes, thank you so much for the gift. But I don't think the fans would want me to wear the mask.'
A hesitant John Cena, after a lot of teasing, finally wore the mask and screamed in excitement.
Afterwards, Cena said it made him feel like a different person, like he had a secret identity.
John Cena joked that no one could see him, saying, 'OOOOOH! How did that feel? I felt like another person. I felt like my secret identity. Yeah — you couldn't see me!'
The 'Juan Cena' character made its debut back in 2010, during John Cena's intense feud with The Nexus. After being "fired" by Wade Barrett, Cena showed up at some non-televised events donning the Lucha Libre mask as 'Juan Cena', claiming to be a distant cousin of John Cena.

With his purple mask, this character brought a fun and memorable twist to WWE, even if it was only around for a short time. Unfortunately, Juan Cena never made a full TV run and was quickly dropped as the storyline progressed, but it became a cult-favorite for fans who liked it.

Teddy Long Recalls the Story Regarding His Iconic Catchphrase on SmackDown
Image via WWE Teddy Long is one of the most well-known non-wrestling figures in the WWE . Initially starting his career as a referee in 1998, he later became the on-screen manager for Mark Henry. However, the WWE Hall of Famer is fondly remembered for his role as the SmackDown General Manager between 2006 and 2012. This was the time when The Undertaker was the top face on the brand and regularly competed in marquee matches. However, Long was famous for another reason. And that was interrupting a conversation or confrontation involving a top heel and pitting them against The Undertaker in a match. His famous catchphrase would be 'one-on-one with The Undertaker.' Moreover, this became the highlight of every edition of the show with the likes of Booker T, JBL, and MVP being the victims of the stipulation. And there is an interesting story behind its inception. The Story Behind Teddy Long's ' One on One With the Undertaker ' Catchphrase In a recent episode of the 'Road Trip After Hours' podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed the origin story of his famous catchphrase. Long mentioned that this idea was based on advice directly from former WWE CEO Vince McMahon . Long explained that it took place at the iconic Madison Square Garden arena when he heard Vince talking to Stephanie McMahon. 'Vince came out and he was talking to Stephanie… and he was telling everybody he wanted a little bit more emphasis on the name, you know, when she introduced him,' Long recalled. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo 'And I just overheard it, you know. And I didn't say a word, but I remembered it.' And later that night, Long was tasked with announcing The Undertaker for a regular outing. This is when he decided to implement his twist. "So when I went out that night to introduce The Undertaker, that's the first thing I remember. Vince wanted that, that high, you know, input. And so I said, 'One-on-one with The Undertaker!' you know." Teddy Long forces Superstars to go one-on-one with The Undertaker He added, "And I come back by, and he [Vince] looks at me, and he just thumbs up. And I, you know, I keep right on walking. But I came over. I did that myself." As already mentioned, this catchphrase became one of the most fondly remembered parts of the SmackDown telecast and also played a part in Long being inducted into the 2017 Hall of Fame. Matt Hardy Recalls the Aftermath of the Botched Spot at Survivor Series 2005 With the Undertaker
Images via WWE Professional wrestling is famously built on hierarchy. The concept of locker room leaders and a designated wrestler's court is well known. So it is only fitting that The Undertaker found himself in these leadership roles behind the curtains. And of the wrestlers to face The Deadman's wrath was Matt Hardy. The incident dates back to 2005, the same year Hardy was fired owing to his infamous real-life love triangle with Edge and Lita. With heavy demand from the fans, Hardy was re-signed to the WWE, only to fall into trouble once again. Matt Hardy Had Backstage Heat With the Undertaker for Quite a While On a recent episode of 'Ask Matt Hardy Anything' podcast, the former WWE tag team champion revealed that the company 'punished' him for spoiling an angle at Survivor Series 2005. During the PPV, Randy Orton came out victorious in the traditional 5 vs. 5 Survivor Series Elimination match, with the event marking the return of The Undertaker. As 'The Phenom' entered the ring, Hardy was told by Vince McMahon to leave the ring in fear. However, Hardy botched the angle and moved out rather slowly, thus taking away the theatrical feel of the grand return. 'I know they were going to make me pay for forcing the fans to bring me back. So I kind of did that. There was the Survivor Series incident where Undertaker was coming out, coming in the ring, and beating up people, and it was right after Eddie died. So, like, things had changed, and I was supposed to be in a different match, and then I was in the ring, and I just thought like, 'Hey, do you really want me in this scenario in the ring?' 'And I remember even asking Vince about it and some of the other guys. Vince said, 'Well, I need someone of importance in the ring, so just be in the ring and just, you know, kind of get out of there quickly or whatever' ASK MATT HARDY ANYTHING! The Team Xtreme member added, 'And then I remember speaking to one of the agents. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2만원의 기부팔찌로 첫 후원하기 굿네이버스 더 알아보기 Undo They said, 'Okay, well, if that's what Vince told you to do, do it.' And I ended up — I was like leaning on the ropes, and I was probably in the wrong. Undertaker ended up being hot about it, and I had heat with Undertaker for a while." Hardy revealed that the aftermath of the incident was difficult as he was essentially used as a jobber owing to that mistake. 'I just went through a period of putting people over, getting beat, getting punished, and it was what it was. And I just weathered the storm and then got back on track.' In the early 2000s, the WWE locker room was infamous for incidents like this. Another prominent event was how The Miz was kicked out of the locker room when he was new to the WWE. The former world title holder accidentally ate a chicken sandwich over referee Chris Armstrong's bag. According to Chris Benoit, this act was disrespectful who then banished the future WWE champion and had to change in the bathroom for events.
