While the actor struggled to gain a foothold in the Hindi film industry during the early stages of his career, Sunita, a successful model at the time, supported him both financially and emotionally. Eventually, Anil made it big in the film industry. However, he decided not to marry Sunita until he could afford his own home. In an earlier interview with Asian Paints Where the Heart Is, Anil Kapoor shared that he bought his first house after gaining success with Hum Paanch, a TV show he co-produced with his brother Boney Kapoor. He later purchased an apartment in the building where he currently resides and recalled entering the house for the first time with his newborn daughter Sonam. He said, 'Every brick of this house has my sweat, blood and hard work in it. There is no scam, no luck, it is all hard work and blood and sweat. While Anil's house reflects vintage elegance, his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor's sea-facing apartment introduces a contrasting modern vibe. Located just a short walk from his father's bungalow, Harsh's home features a contemporary design with walls lined with DVDs and furniture built around massive speakers and other tech appliances.
