The Librarians: The Next Chapter Sneak Peek: Jacob Stone Teaches the New Team a Magic Lesson (Exclusive)
A spinoff of the mid-2010s TNT drama The Librarians — which itself was an offshoot of series of made-for-TV movies led by Noah Wyle (ER, The Pitt) — The Next Chapter centers on Vikram Chamberlin (Jamestown's Callum McGowan), a 'Librarian' from from the year 1847 who time-travels to the present and finds himself stuck here. When he returns to his castle, which is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. He in turn is given a new team to help him clean up the mess he made, forming a new collection of Librarians.

Dealing with magic, as Once Upon a Time's Rumpelstiltskin often told us, always comes with a price — which Christian Kane's Jacob makes clear in the clip above, upon learning that Vikram and his newly formed team of Librarians have let loose a drekavac.
The Next Chapter cast also includes Olivia Morris (Hotel Portofino) as scientist Lysa Pascal, Bluey Robinson (Britannia) as historian Connor Green, and Jessica Green (The Outpost) as Charlie Cornwall aka the Guardian.

Christina on the Coast Among Latest HGTV Cancellations (Report)
Another HGTV series has reached an abrupt end: Christina on the Coast has not been renewed and will not be returning to the cabler, according to a report from US Weekly. (TVLine has reached out to the network for confirmation.) Christina on the Coast is hosted by Christina Haack, who got her start on Flip or Flop with then-husband Tarek El Moussa. (The couple divorced in 2018.) In the show, Haack and her team, including fellow designer and project manager James Bender, transform outdated properties into dream homes by incorporating functionality and modern amenities, such as open floor plans, custom storage solutions, coveted indoor-outdoor living areas and spacious primary bedrooms featuring spa-inspired bathrooms. Season 5, which premiered a year ago, opened with Haack navigating 'her most challenging — and personal — client and project yet' as she renovated her childhood home for her parents. According to the same report, The Flipping El Moussas will also not be returning to HGTV. That series, which premiered its second season in late December, followed 'real estate power couple' Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussae as they grow their working relationship as flippers while juggling the addition of a rambunctious toddler to their busy family on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas are but the latest of several HGTV series to recently reach their apparent ends at the network. Earlier this summer, the hosts of Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block and Izzy Does It all stated their shows would not be returning for additional seasons. ‘The Pitt' Star Katherine LaNasa Confirmed for Season 2 While Celebrating Emmy Noms From Set With Noah Wyle
Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa celebrated their Emmy nominations together from 'The Pitt' set in a behind-the-scenes video posted Tuesday – and incidentally confirmed the return of the latter's character for Season 2 in the process. Wyle was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and LaNasa got her nod in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category. In the video, shared on Instagram by a crew member and seen below via X, the two hug while soaking up applause from their colleagues in the emergency room of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Apparently taking a break from filming Season 2, the excitement is palpable from everyone on set. The Max series was also nominated for Best Drama Series. 'I am so very proud of 'The Pitt' and especially grateful to Noah, John and Scott for entrusting me with Dana. I am beyond humbled to be included in this group of beautifully talented actresses.' LaNasa being on set and in costume should quell any concerns fans of the first season had about LaNasa's return. Her character Dana Evans seemed set to quit the hospital after the harrowing events of Season 1 – including a mass shooting that filled the hospital with critical patients. She even played coy when asked whether she would be back for Season 2 in May. 'I think she would probably just spend it at home with her family,' LaNasa told Gold Derby. 'I think she needs a big decompression. I think she just really needs a lot of time to probably process and decompress. Probably needs some therapy.' HBO Max did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment on LaNasa's return. 'The Pitt' takes place over a single shift at PTMC. It was announced following Season 1 that the second season of the show would take place on the Fourth of July. If the first season revolving around the annual PittFest ended explosively as it did, things will likely get even more intense for the residence and interns of The Pitt in it's sophomore outing. ‘The Pitt': Here are its 13 Emmy nominations — and 3 big snubs
Emmy voters indeed fell into The Pitt. The HBO Max hit received 13 Emmy nominations on Tuesday, including Best Drama Series and Best Drama Actor for Noah are the categories the medical drama got into — and missed. The medical drama has been the breakout hit of the year since its January debut. It quickly shot up Gold Derby's Best Drama Series odds and was in second place by the time of nominations. It's nominated alongside Andor, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Paradise, Severance, Slow Horses, and The White Lotus. More from Gold Derby 'Squid Game' Emmys shutout: Here are all the nominations it missed for Season 2 - including Lee Jung-jae and Choi Seung-hyun 'Hacks' receives 14 Emmy nominations - but has 3 surprising snubs Wyle was the last one called alphabetically, but he's been first in the odds since May, a month after Season 1 ended and about six weeks after his tour-de-force performance in the 13th episode. This is Wyle's sixth Emmy nomination and first in 26 years. He was nominated in Best Drama Supporting Actor from 1994-99 for ER. The other nominees are Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Gary Oldman, (Slow Horses),Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), and Adam Scott (Severance). The Pitt only fielded two supporting actor hopefuls, Patrick Ball (10th in the odds) and Gerran Howell (14th), but they were boxed out by the flood of White Lotus (Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Sam Rockwell) and Severance men (Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman, John Turturro), and Paradise's James Marsden. Unlike supporting actor, The Pitt had seven supporting actress contenders, but only one got in: Katherine LaNasa, who was seventh in the odds. She faces four White Lotus women — Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, and Natasha Rothwell — in addition to Patricia Arquette (Severance), and Julianne Nicholson (Paradise). Shawn Hatosy, who was second in the odds, and Mackenzie Astin, who was fifth, had both hoped to land nominations in this category, but only Hatosy made the grade. He's up against Jeffrey Wright and Joe Pantoliano (The Last of Us), Scott Glenn (The White Lotus), Giancarlo Esposito (The Boys), and Forest Whitaker (Andor). This category was always going to be a long shot. Rebecca Tilney, who played the sister of Astin's character as the siblings faced their father's end-of-life care, had the best chance: she ranked in 10th place in the Gold Derby odds ahead of nominations. The nominees are Gwendoline Christie, Merritt Wever, and Jane Alexander (Severance); Kaitlyn Dever and Catherine O'Hara (The Last of Us); and Cherry Jones (The Handmaid's Tale). The Pitt took a minor risk submitting three episodes, but it paid off as two of those made the final cut: the pilot, "7:00 A.M.," directed by by executive producer John Wells; and the first of the superb mass casualty episodes, "6:00 P.M.," directed by Amanda Marsalis. It probably helps that directing gained a seventh slot this year. They'll face off against installments of Andor, Slow Horses, The White Lotus, and two Severance episodes. The Pitt also submitted three episodes in writing, a category that has six slots, with two getting nods: the pilot, "7:00 A.M.," written by creator and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill; and "2:00 P.M.," written by Joe Sachs, the show's medical consultant who also worked on ER. They'll compete against episodes of Andor, Severance, Slow Horses, and The White Lotus. The Pitt was nominated for contemporary makeup (non-prosthetic), prosthetic makup, sound editing, and sound mixing.
