Faces of murderers guilty of Neil Canney murder revealed

A jury at the High Court in Glasgow today (Friday) found six men guilty of the murder of the father-of-five who was shot at his home in Nairn Road on February 28, 2023.
Jack Benson, 24, Dale Russell, 31, Martin McCusker, 41, Brendan Balloch, 25, Kieran Hendry, 26, and Michael Munro, 28, were convicted of murdering Mr Canney, who was also known as Neil Wilson.
The six men were also found guilty of the attempted murder of six others who were within the property at the time of Mr Canney's death.
Another man, Kieran Meechan, pleaded guilty to the charge of murder more than a year ago.

Police Scotland has now released photographs of four of the men found guilty - Dale Russell, Brendon Balloch, Jack Benson, and Martin McCusker. They have not released images of Michael Munro and Kieran Hendry, which the Tele has requested.

"I hope that this sentence brings some degree of closure to his family and friends and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
"Thankfully violent crimes like these in public places are rare.
"When such incidents take place, we will use all resources necessary to carry out thorough, rigorous inquiries to ensure we track down those responsible to bring them to justice, no matter your part in a crime.
"I would like to thank those members of the public who assisted with our enquiries as well as our dedicated officers who worked tirelessly throughout this investigation."
All seven men will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow in September.
