A person suspected of starting a fire at an industrial estate in Glasgow has been captured on CCTV.Fire crews were alerted to the blaze at a single-storey commercial building on Stanley Street at about 06:45 on Thursday.CCTV footage, obtained by BBC Scotland News, shows a person walking up a lane near the Kinning Park storage unit, then climbing over a wall.Flames are then seen coming from the area behind the wall, before the suspect appears again, jumps off the wall and runs off.
Police Scotland have confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.Smoke from the fire was sent billowing across the M8 at rush hour.
Police appeal
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent nine appliances and two high-reach vehicles to extinguish the fire. No injuries have been reported.Roads in the area were cordoned off by police while fire crews tackled the flames and residents were advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke.Det Insp Lesley-Ann McGee said: "Our inquiries remain ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen something to get in touch."

Abraham Torrance died following a crash between a car and a lorry on the A71 near Irvine on Thursday, July 31 A pensioner who died in a crash involving his car and an HGV lorry in Ayrshire has been named by police. ‌ Abraham Torrance, 70, from Kilmarnock, died following the incident on the A71 between the Corsehill Mount Roundabout and the Warrix Interchange, near Irvine on Thursday morning, July 31. ‌ Emergency services were called to the scene following the incident which involved a grey Kia Ceed and a white DAF HGV at around 11.10am. ‌ Mr Torrance, the driver of the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing to appeal for information to establish the full circumstances of the crash and added that Mr Torrance's family have asked for privacy. Constable Josh Forrester said: 'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Torrance and enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash and the events leading up to it continue. ‌ 'We are asking anyone who can assist with information, including dash-cam footage, to get in touch if they have not already spoken to officers.' A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A man who died in a crash on the A71 westbound between the Corsehill Mount Roundabout and Warrix Interchange, near Irvine, has been named. "He was Abraham Torrance, aged 70, from the Kilmarnock area. His family has asked for privacy. "The incident happened around 11.10am on Thursday, 31 July, and involved a grey Kia Ceed and a white DAF HGV. "Emergency services attended and Mr Torrance, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
