Brandon Graham is cashing in his chips for an Eagles Super Bowl repeat

USA Today13-07-2025
The Philadelphia Eagles legend is pushing his chips in on a second consecutive Super Bowl run.
Some voices are different. Those of you who are older probably remember those E.F. Hutton commercials. You remember... When he talked, people listened. Certain voices ring louder in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room, too. Troy Vincent... He was almost as powerful as Andy Reid was. No one should be shocked that he's now the NFL's executive vice president of football operations.
Over time, Philadelphia's locker room has birthed a few other legendary leaders: Jalen Hurts and, before that, Brian Dawkins, Malcom Jenkins, and Brandon Graham. Graham has enjoyed quite the victory lap since winning his second Super Bowl to place the exclamation point at the end of his legendary career.
He threw jabs at the New York Giants at Fanatics Fest. Then, he informed everyone that his Birds don't fear the Washington Commanders and an overweight Deebo Samuel. His latest diatribe hits closer to home. He's pushing his chips to the center of the table for a possible Eagles Super Bowl repeat.
"I really do feel like they going back again." Those were Graham's words on one of the newer episodes of Gallen of Questions.
"We got to address things that pop up in the season. That happened this year, and we addressed it and we moved on. And we stayed focused on what the goal was, but you got to make sure they have the leaders in that room, which I know they do. Why it can't be them to do it again? That's how I feel."
Graham is one of three Eagles who played for Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Doug Pederson, and Nick Sirianni. Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce are the other two.
Graham is one of two Eagles who have won two Vince Lombardi Trophies. Lane Johnson is the other one. If Graham is right, Johnson will be the first to hoist a third.
"I already love how coach [Nick] Sirianni is talking about perfume, where it smells great, but don't drink it, it's poison. And winning? We won the Super Bowl, it's great. But to think that you're going to do it again without working like you did, that's a poisonous mindset. I love where he went with it, and I think they'll do good with that message."
Head coach Nick Sirianni is never short of a few catchphrases and metaphors, but the 'perfume vs. poison' thing may be his most brilliant. Philadelphia has the tools to repeat as champs, but the task of doing so won't be easy.
If Graham is right, expect the party of a millennium. Can you believe it? Once upon a time, we were still waiting on that first Super Bowl.

NFL analyst says Rams can still win NFC West with Jimmy Garoppolo under center

While there's no cause for alarm yet, the Los Angeles Rams have rolled out backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo as their starter during the first week of training camp while Matthew Stafford recovers from a back injury. The Rams don't appear to be worried about Stafford's ability to play in Week 1, but that hasn't stopped the speculation about what the team would look like if Garoppolo started the majority of games L.A. NFL analyst Chris Brockman, though, said he thinks the Rams could still win the NFC West with Garoppolo under center. He asked Rich Eisen if this idea was an overreaction or not, to which the veteran analyst agreed and added, 'That's why they have him. That's why he's a backstop.' However, Eisen qualified this assessment by noting that it likely won't come to this if Stafford's injury is as the Rams have advertised. "Talk to me if he doesn't even practice over the next two to three weeks," Eisen said. While Garoppolo more than likely won't be the Rams' Week 1 starter, it's worth looking at his body of work as an indication of whether he could be successful for L.A. in Stafford's place. Garoppolo lost his only game as the Rams' starter in 2024 — a meaningless Week 18 match where the Rams benched all their starters — but threw for 334 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Garoppolo started 63 other games in his career, including 55 with the San Francisco 49ers from 2017 to 2022. He went 38-17 over that stretch as well as 4-2 in the playoffs with one Super Bowl appearance in 2020 and an NFC championship appearance in 2021 (where he lost to the Rams). If Garoppolo needed to start, he'd have arguably one of the better rosters at his disposal with Davante Adams, Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams as his main skill position players. The offensive line is solid as well. This wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, and head coach Sean McVay has said Garoppolo is a starter-level player a lot recently. But the Rams' caution with Stafford's injury is more of an indication they'd prefer their current starter to be well-rested and healed before the 2025 season so they don't have to turn to Garoppolo this year. L.A. went 2-6 in the games Stafford missed in 2022 and finished with just five wins as he battled injures all year. Garoppolo is solid insurance to prevent that type of catastrophe again, but the Rams don't want it ever to come to that in a season that they hope ends with another Super Bowl rin.

Report – Crystal Palace Have Made An Offer To Inter Milan For Germany Star

Premier League side Crystal Palace have reportedly lodged a formal offer for Inter Milan center-back Yann Bisseck. According to Fabrizio Biasin via FCInter1908, the Eagles have submitted a €32 million bid for the German star. It's no secret that several Premier League clubs are keen to sign Yann Bisseck. Indeed, Manchester United and West Ham have been in the picture since the beginning of the summer. However, Oliver Glasner's men have jumped to the head of the queue. (Photo by) With Inter open to selling the 24-year-old, Crystal Palace have decided to take concrete action to secure his signature. Despite showing initiative with a tempting-looking offer, the Eagles may have to increase their proposal to get the go-ahead. Inter's preparedness to negotiate Bisseck's exit depends on the price. Indeed, they've slapped a €40 million price tag on their in-demand asset. That way, they would raise funds to finance the arrival of Parma starlet Giovanni Leoni at Cristian Chivu's personal request.

2025 NFC West Odds: Can 49ers Reclaim Division Crown?

The NFC West was thought to belong to the San Francisco 49ers … until it didn't. Which squad is favored to win the division this season? Here are the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of July 30, as well as what to know about the division. NFC West 49ers: +150 (bet $10 to win $25 total) Rams: +195 (bet $10 to win $29.50 total) Cardinals: +450 (bet $10 to win $55 total) Seahawks: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total) What to know: Three franchises have won this division in each of the last five years — the Rams won last year, the Niners won in 2022 and 2023, L.A. won in 2021 and Seattle won in 2020 — hence the relatively close odds. What's important to pinpoint about this division is that in the past seven years, the NFC West winner has made it to the Super Bowl four times (one win). The winner has also won at least one playoff game in six of those seven years and won two playoff games five times. Key addition: Seattle has a new face at quarterback in Sam Darnold, who had the best season of his career in Minnesota last season. In 17 starts, he threw for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 picks, completing 66.2% of his passes. However, his Vikings lost to his new division rival, the L.A. Rams, in the wild-card round. The Seahawks last won the division in 2020, after winning it three out of four times between 2013 and 2016. Despite missing the playoffs each of the past two years, success will still be expected out of Darnold, considering Seattle has had one losing season since 2012 — when it went 7-10 in 2021.
