Luciano Pavarotti Biopic Planned

Yara Sameh
Prominent Italian producer Pietro Valsecchi ('Quo Vado') is developing a high-end Luciano Pavarotti biopic.
Valsecchi has secured a consulting agreement with Nicoletta Mantovani, the second wife of the late great tenor who broadened the audience for opera and became a global pop culture icon.
A screenplay for the project is being penned by ace Italian screenwriter Leonardo Fasoli, a head writer on the series 'Gomorrah' which is Italy's top TV export.
Mantovani, who established the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation after the maestro's death at 71, in 2007, is providing the project with documents, rare images, private letters, mementos, and more from the archives of the foundation and museum in the Northern Italian city of Modena that was Pavarotti's home.
As part of the agreement, Mantovani 'will be actively involved in every aspect of the project, contributing first-hand to the narrative and artistic construction of the film,' according to a statement.
Born in 1935 in Modena into a working-class family – his father was a baker, while his mother worked in a cigar factory – Luciano Pavarotti developed a passion for opera as a child thanks to his father, an amateur tenor.
Thanks to his vibrant signature high C's and a knack for showmanship he became the most beloved and celebrated tenor since Enrico Caruso and one of the few opera singers to attain crossover fame.
'Luciano had a big dream, which was to bring opera back to the people, because when he was a kid opera was sung in the streets and was just like pop music today,' Mantovani told Variety.
Pavarotti pursued this dream through the Three Tenors projects, a collective enterprise that saw him share the stage with Plácido Domingo and José Carreras and his 'Pavarotti and Friends' charity concerts, performing with rock stars such as Elton John, Sting, and Bono.
Valsecchi, who shepherded Italy's biggest all-time box office hit, the 2016 comedy 'Quo Vado,' said he is seeking an Italian actor to play the lead and will soon be announcing a director for the project that will differentiate itself from Ron Howard-directed 2019 doc 'Pavarotti' by having a 'more Italian soul' while being 'clearly universal.'
The plan is to shoot the Italian and English language Pavarotti biopic in several countries.
Valsecchi is currently shopping the project to streamers and international buyers.

"Five Nights at Freddy's 2" Unveils Trailer

Yara Sameh The official trailer for 'Five Nights at Freddy's 2' has been unveiled, teasing the continuation of Freddy Fazbear's chilling reign. The sequel from Universal and Blumhouse has a new tagline: 'Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.' Emma Tammi returns as director. Josh Hutcherson, star of the first film, also returns for the sequel, which includes cast members Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail and Piper Rubio. The first film, which earned $297 million at the global box office, featured Hutcherson playing a security guard at Freddys Fazbear's Pizza. It went on to become Blumhouse's highest-grossing movie ever. Hutcherson told Variety last year that the huge success was unexpected. 'We hoped it would connect with audiences,' Hutcherson said. 'But I don't think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did.' Hutcherson also hinted to Esquire the follow-up would be 'scarier.' 'There's more animatronics being brought in, different animatronics being brought in, and the world just opens up in a big way,' he said to the publication. Murtada Elfadl reviewed the first film for Variety, writing that 'Hollywood has not been successful at turning video games into movies — a disappointing streak that 'Five Nights at Freddy's' fails to correct.' Elfadl added that 'there's not enough of the animatronic creatures. Despite their distinctive look, they are not used effectively for horror or hilarity, missing the mark on both counts.' New "Air Bud" Movie in Works, Eyes 2026 Theatrical Release

Yara Sameh One of the world's favorite golden retrievers is returning after a long absence. 'Air Bud Returns,' the latest film in the athletic canine saga, has been announced by Cineverse and Air Bud Entertainment. The film has been set for a summer 2026 release. It will be written and directed by Robert Vince, who founded ABE. Vince was a producer on all of the original films (including franchise spinoffs like 'Santa Paws') and wrote and directed ten of them. The original 1997 film was produced independently and Disney picked it up for distribution. The family-friendly title became a sleeper hit and the franchise became a fixture on the rental market. 'Anyone who follows the box office knows that we are experiencing an important moment at the intersection of '90s and early 2000s nostalgia and millennial parents looking for family-friendly movies to share with their kids,' Cineverse chief motion pictures officer Yolanda Macias said in a statement. 'With the return of an iconic franchise that has remained popular since Robert created the OG Air Bud more than 28 years ago, we are offering a real treat that will resonate with fans across generations. This is the ideal first project for us as we expand our theatrical strategy to the kids and family category.' Per the press release, 'In 'Air Bud Returns,' 12-year old Jacob has always dreamt of being a star basketball player. After the passing of his father, that dream felt even more impossible. But everything changes when he and his mom move into his dad's childhood home in Fernfield. There, Jacob discovers an original VHS of the 'Air Bud' movie in his father's belongings and has a chance meeting of a stray golden retriever he names Buddy. Together they embark on a journey of healing, unite a team of misfits, and chase a championship. Through it all they learn to play from the heart, believe in each other, and always take the shot!'. ''Air Bud Returns' isn't just another sequel or remake — it's a unique story,' Vince said in a statement. 'This movie will engage nostalgic Air Bud fans while introducing a new generation to the beloved basketball-playing golden retriever, Buddy. It builds upon the legacy of the OG 'Air Bud' with all the fun, the magic, heartwarming scenes, and Buddy playing basketball. More than anything, it's a deeply human story about a dog and boy, centered on themes of adaptation, redemption, and teamwork.' 'Air Bud Returns' is the first kids and family feature from Cineverse. The film is set to begin filming this summer in Fort Langley, British Columbia, where the original was also shot. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

High Public Turnout at Museums and Archaeological Sites in Alexandria

Ali abo deshish Today, museums and archaeological sites across the city of Alexandria witnessed a massive influx of thousands of visitors, both Egyptian nationals and foreign residents. This surge in attendance comes in response to the decision by Mr. Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, to grant free public access in celebration of Alexandria Governorate's National Day. The Citadel of Qaitbay welcomed approximately 16,110 visitors, while the Graeco-Roman Museum received more than 4,200 visitors. The Royal Jewelry Museum attracted over 2,000 visitors, and the Kom El Shoqafa archaeological site saw more than 3,000 visitors. Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, noted that crowds of visitors had lined up since the early morning hours outside the archaeological sites and museums, reflecting the deep awareness among Egyptians of all age groups about the importance of connecting more closely with their ancient heritage. The Secretary-General emphasized that the flow of visitors throughout the day was well-organized at all sites and museums across the governorate. Visitors were allowed entry in groups to ensure that the large crowds did not disrupt the experience or movement within the sites. Museum curators and antiquities inspectors continued to monitor the sites throughout official working hours to guarantee a smooth and accessible experience for all guests. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
