Telangana govt commits to women's financial empowerment: Bhatti Vikramarka
At the event, cheques totalling ₹1.49 crores were distributed to women's groups that have provided buses on rent to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC). Vikramarka expressed his ambition of making one crore women millionaires, with a goal of disbursing ₹1 lakh crore in loans over the next five years.
"From the 8th of this month, discussions on government programmes should take place in all mandals, focusing on the benefits provided to women. Women's federation meetings are to be organised in villages and mandals, and assembly constituency meetings will occur from the 10th to the 16th," he stated. Vikramarka reassured that interest-free loan cash will be distributed in cheque form to support these initiatives, allowing the public to better understand the financial aid offered by the government.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also announced plans to provide 5,000 electric autos to women, aiming to combat pollution in Hyderabad. The government's initiatives reflect its ongoing efforts to empower women and improve their socio-economic status in the region.

Madira: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the opposition party is worried about its future and has reached a point of helplessness, as the State government continues to roll out numerous welfare schemes and development initiatives. Bhatti said that Indiramma houses are being constructed so that the poor can live with self-respect and that the state government will fulfill the dream of every poor person to have their own house. Bhatti laid the foundation stone for the construction of tourist facilities at the Madhira Tank Bund at a cost of about Rs 6.45 crore. Later, sanction documents were distributed to the Indiramma house beneficiaries of Madhira, Errupalem and Bonakal mandals at the PVR Function Hall. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that if the dream of owning a house of the poor is to be realized, the Indiramma government has given us the opportunity, and maintaining the trust of the people, we are granting Indiramma houses to the deserving ones. He said that the government grants Rs 5 lakh for each poor person's house. He said that the government is spending Rs 22, 500 crore in the first phase and is granting 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses, and that the deserving ones are being selected transparently, regardless of parties and politics. He said that the current government will work to solve the problems of the people by directly knowing the pains of the people in the previous padayatra. He said that the government will spend thousands of crores of rupees with the aim of ensuring that every poor person lives in their own house with self-respect. He said that the Indiramma houses scheme will fulfill the dream of owning a house of the poor.

Bhatti Vikramarka visits Madhira, says govt is committed for welfare of poor
Telangana's Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, has stated that the dream of homeownership for the poor will only be realised under a Congress-led government. During a visit to his constituency of Madhira in the Khammam district, he distributed grant documents to beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme. On this occasion, Vikramarka highlighted the government's commitment, noting that in its first year, it sanctioned 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses at a cost of Rs 22,500 crore. He emphasised that no other state in India has provided such a substantial number of houses to its citizens. Furthermore, Vikramarka mentioned that Telangana has 1.20 crore families, with ration cards issued to 93 lakh families, who are benefiting from rice distributions. He also revealed that 56,000 jobs have been created in the first year since the government's formation. Additionally, the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme has been introduced to support unemployed individuals, backed by an investment of Rs 8,000 crore.

HYDERABAD: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said Telangana is on track to becoming a national role model in women empowerment, as the state will begin distributing interest-free loans to women's self-help groups from July 12. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Speaking at the 'Indira Mahila Shakti Sambaralu' held at Praja Bhavan, Bhatti said the Congress govt provided 21,000 crore in interest-free loans to SHGs in its first year. "Our annual target is to disburse at least 20,000 crore to women's groups. This is not just a scheme - it's a movement for economic transformation," he said. Along with ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and D Seethakka, Bhatti presented a 1.05 crore cheque to 151 mandal-level women's groups, who had leased buses to the TGSRTC. He said this is a promising start, with more revenue-generating opportunities for SHGs in departments like education, transport, and energy. The deputy CM urged SHGs to meet between July 7 and 9 at village, mandal, and district levels to prepare business plans and identify projects. Opportunities include supplying school uniforms, managing canteens, undertaking school repair works, and generating up to 1,000 MW of solar power under new energy department initiatives. Bhatti added that SHGs will also be supported with bank linkages, accident insurance, and buyback of their products. Transport minister Ponnam said over 200 crore free bus trips by women have been recorded so far, with the govt reimbursing 6,500 crore to the RTC. "This scheme has also helped stabilise the RTC financially," he added.
