Political activist Tommy Robinson to appear in court charged with harassment
The 42-year-old is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday following his not guilty pleas at Westminster Magistrates' Court last month.
Prosecutors told a previous hearing that none of the alleged harassment contained direct threats of violence.
After the last hearing, Robinson spoke of how he had 'never had' the opportunity to have a jury trial and wanted '12 members of the British public' to hear the evidence in the case.
Robinson will face a trial preparation hearing when he appears in court on Thursday.

When the young girl was taken to hospital, Boot begged her and her mother not to tell the police about the attack in fears that her dog would be put down, Nottingham Crown Court was told. The 33-year-old from Sneinton then proceeded to give false details about the incident in a bid to protect the dog, while the victim was being treated at the Queens Medical Centre (QMC). Despite the child receiving multiple injuries, including a deep gash under her eye, Boot continued to give a false name and false details. A dog behaviour expert has since analysed Rocky and produced a report concluding it would be safe for him to return home. Handing her a 16-month jail term, suspended for 18 months, Judge Mark Watson said: "This was a frightening and scary incident, it must have been made worse by your response to it. "Rather than show concern for the girl, you were more concerned about Rocky and the impact on you and your family. "It was selfish behaviour and behaviour you should be ashamed of." However, the judge concluded that due to it being a quick bite rather than the dog taking hold of and mauling the child, Rocky did not pose a danger to the public. Boot was alerted to what was happening after hearing the child scream. Kitulagoda continued to explain that Boot's partner then began shouting that Rocky was going to be put down and begged the mother and child not to say anything. But Boot later pleaded guilty to being in possession of a dog that was dangerously out of control and injured a person. Lucia Harrington, mitigating, said her client has children aged nine and 11 who both have ADHD and autism. Harrington said explained that if Boot was to go into immediate custody, her children would have to be put into care. As part of the suspended sentence order, the judge ordered the defendant to attend 15 rehabilitation session and also contribute £1000 towards the £12000 kennelling costs which had been incurred. He also ordered a contingency destruction order. This means Rocky will be destroyed if the owner is unable to keep it under control. The conditions are as follows: Pet gates to be fitted at the entrance of her home and her living room entrance. If anyone under thee age of 16 visits her home, Rocky needs to be locked in a separate room. The owner must attend sessions with a dog behaviour analyst. Three young girls were also attacked by a 7st XL Bully in Norfolk earlier this year. The horrifying incident saw Victoria Hewitt's pet, Karma, attack her two children and friend, aged 4, 8 and 11. The attack saw the dog drag one of the children across the floor, biting her down to the bone. A judge later sentenced Hewitt to an eight-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months. These incidents come after a ban on XL Bullies was ruled by the High Court in December 2024. Labour peer Lord David Lipsey found dead after police discover body in river
Officers confirmed the body of Lord Lipsey was pulled from the river on July 1 following a huge multi-agency rescue mission. Labour Peer Lord David Lipsey has been found dead after swimming in the River Wye, cops have said. Police were called to the River Wye in Glasbury on June 30 following reports of concern for a person last seen in the water. Dyfed Powys Police has now confirmed the body of Lord Lipsey was pulled from the river on July 1 following a huge multi-agency rescue mission. Lord Lipsey, who previously worked as a journalist and Downing Street adviser under then prime minister Jim Callaghan, entered the Lords in 1999. He is also credited with coining the phrases "New Labour" and "winter of discontent". A police spokesperson told the Mirror: "Dyfed-Powys Police received a report concerning the safety of a man who was last seen swimming in the River Wye, Glasbury. "Following a multi-agency search on July 1, sadly, we can confirm the body of Lord David Lipsey was recovered. "His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. "They have asked for their privacy to be respected." The Lord Speaker said the upper chamber extended its " condolences to the noble Lord's family and friends". Lord Lipsey, who was a fan of greyhound and harness racing, chaired the British Greyhound Racing Board and the British Harness Racing Club for a number of years. The British Horseracing Authority said: "Lord Lipsey was a staunch supporter of British horseracing and formerly an APPG member. Our condolences to his family at this incredibly sad time." Premier Greyhound Racing said it was "deeply saddened at the passing of Lord David Lipsey". In a statement, they said: "We were very luck to have David as Chair of Premier Greyhound Racing from our inception until his retirement this year. Tommy Robinson allegedly told journalist ‘I'm coming to get you'
Robinson, 42, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is charged with two counts of harassment causing fear of violence to MailOnline reporters Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber through his X account between August 5 and 7 2024. He appeared at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday after his not guilty pleas at Westminster Magistrates' Court last month. Wearing a blue waistcoat and a man bag, Robinson entered not guilty pleas after the details of the charges were read out at the crown court. Robinson also spoke to confirm his name at the brief hearing and waved at his supporters in the public gallery. His Honour Judge Tony Baumgartner set a trial date of October 19 2026 with a five-day jury trial estimate at Southwark Crown Court. A pre-trial review was also set for October 5 2026. Robinson is charged with harassment causing fear of violence by making a telephone call on August 5 last year in which he is alleged to have told Mr Young that he would visit his house and said 'I'm coming to get you'. He is also alleged to have posted on his X account on August 6 last year at 10.45pm, three edited photographs depicting Mr Young's wife, daughter and his motor vehicle, with the message: 'Hey @JDirnhuber get your colleague Andrew Young to call me back, you see he published pictures of my family and gave away their location. 'I'm working on a news piece myself about all of you, I won't identify any innocent people or give address as that's not morally right unlike you scum. You will all be questioned on camera about how you think endangering children is ok. My homework continues.' Robinson is further charged with harassment causing fear of violence by allegedly posting from his X account a direct message to Mr Dirnhuber on August 5 last year at 8.50am in which he said 'I'll be knocking at your door'. On the same day, he is also alleged to have posted direct messages to Mr Dirnhuber saying 'Let your bosses know I'm coming to all your houses', 'Okay got your address' and 'We need to talk'. On August 6 at 9.43pm, Robinson is alleged to have posted on X: 'Got ya @Jdirnhuber this is Jacob, he likes to locate and endanger families. Jacob and the rest of the Daily Mail journalists who were involved in endangering my children have today been located. 'I look forward to hearing on camera your justification for doxxing my children's location. I got all three of you tagged and bagged in one day'. He is also alleged to have posted on August 6 last year at 10.50pm a direct message on X to Mr Dirnhuber in which he said: 'I'll bring my questions to all of your doors.' Speaking outside court following the hearing, Robinson said: 'I'm on trial in October 2026. When I get a chance before a jury, I can show what the journalists done.'
