Lucknow: Be ready for rainy days ahead, as Lucknow is likely to receive rainfall for the next 20 days, said the weatherman. On Saturday, the city was lashed by moderate rain in the evening hours, which brought traffic to a standstill and caused waterlogging in several parts of the city. More rain is expected on Sunday and Monday. "Lucknow will receive light to moderate rain for the next 20 days. The rainfall activity on Saturday and for the next two days is the result of two cyclonic circulations, one over eastern UP and the other over Bihar. Along with this, a western disturbance will further bring more rainy relief," said senior scientist of the state Met department, Mohammad Danish. He said that due to frequent rainfall activity, there is a possibility of a drop in day temperature by 2-3 degrees. The maximum and minimum temperatures on Saturday were 33.3 and 27.1 degrees, respectively, with 3.2 mm of rainfall recorded at Amausi Met office. On Sunday, it is predicted that there will be a generally overcast sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 30 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. There is a warning of a thunderstorm and lightning and heavy rain at isolated places. Meanwhile, rain or thundershowers are very likely at many places over West UP and at most places over East UP.
