Jordan, UAE Airdrop 25 Tons of Aid over Gaza

Israa Farhan Military transport aircraft from Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have delivered 25 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza via coordinated airdrop operations, according to a statement by the Royal Jordanian Air Force. The aid delivery involved three airdrop missions targeting civilians in Gaza, where the population remains in urgent need due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. The cargo included essential food supplies, medical provisions, and daily necessities. According to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, this latest mission brings the total number of independent Jordanian air aid operations to 127 since the outbreak of the armed escalation in 2023. Additionally, Jordan has participated in 267 joint airdrop missions in cooperation with various international partners. Ground-based humanitarian efforts have also continued. On Sunday alone, 60 Jordanian aid trucks carrying food supplies crossed into Gaza, as reported by Al Mamlaka television. Beyond logistical support, Jordan is providing medical assistance on the ground. Two field hospitals established by Jordan are currently operating in both the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip. Dozens of injured and sick Palestinian children, along with their families, have been evacuated to Jordan to receive advanced medical treatment. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Germany's Merz calls on Israel to provide aid to Gaza's starving population - War on Gaza

Germany's chancellor on Sunday called on Israel's prime minister to quickly provide aid to "starving" Palestinians in Gaza, in a phone call between the two leaders. Chancellor Friedrich Merz "expressed his deep concern about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza," said a government statement. "He called on Prime Minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu to do everything in his power to achieve an immediate ceasefire. He urged him to provide the starving civilian population in Gaza with urgently needed humanitarian aid now. This aid must reach the civilian population quickly, safely, and in the required quantities." Israel's war on Gaza -- described as genocide by several prominent genocide scholars and numerous aid organisations -- has killed at least 59,821 Palestinians and injured more than 144,851, the majority of them women and children. The war has been compounded by Israel's blockade on the entry of all humanitarian aid, including food, which has persisted for nearly five months since it was imposed on 2 March. Israeli occupation forces have killed over 1,000 Palestinians attempting to access food aid in Gaza since a US-Israeli so-called humanitarian foundation, began operations in late May, according to the UN. The UN and NGOs on the ground have decried the severe scarcity facing Gaza's 2.4 million people, with shortages of food, clean water, medicine and fuel. More than 100 aid organisations have already warned that "mass starvation" was spreading across the Palestinian territory. Germany, seeking to atone for the Holocaust, has long been one of Israel's most steadfast supporters. It is one of the biggest suppliers of weapons to Israel, providing about 30% of Israel's arms imports between 2019 and 2023, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). It ranks second only to the United States, which accounted for over two-thirds (69%) of all arms sold to Israel from abroad during the same period. Last year, Germany's arms sales to Israel were worth €326.5m ($361m) -- a tenfold increase compared with 2022 -- with the majority of export licences granted after the war on Gaza began in October 2023, according to Germany's federal government. But as the civilian toll and humanitarian crisis in Gaza have worsened, Germany has recently intensified its subtle criticism of its ally. The German government has stated that it regards recognition of a Palestinian state as "one of the final steps on the path to achieving a two-state solution." *This story was edited by Ahram Online. Trump Urges Israel to Make a Decision About Gaza Future

H-Tayea US President Donald Trump has stirred controversy with new comments about the situation in Gaza, stating that he does not believe a famine exists in the enclave, and suggesting that the crisis may be a matter of 'malnutrition,' which he claimed is worsened by Hamas stealing aid. The remarks came during a meeting in Scotland with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Trump said, 'Hamas must return the hostages. We have already gotten most of them back,' adding that it is now up to Israel to make a decision regarding Gaza's future. He did not specify what course of action he believes Israel should take, but emphasized that the burden of next steps lies with Tel Aviv. While downplaying the severity of the humanitarian conditions, Trump acknowledged that more aid will be sent to Gaza, though he insisted that the United States should not carry the effort alone. 'Other countries must participate in this mission,' he stated, noting that he had discussed the situation, including humanitarian access, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
