A MAN hired to play the role of a bride's father has revealed how he stopped a convicted Brit paedophile from "marrying" a nine-year-old girl in a fake Disneyland wedding.
Vitalijs, a former Russian special forces paratrooper, raised the alarm on Londoner Jacky Jhaj, 39, who was set to "marry" the Ukrainian schoolgirl in a fake £111,000 ceremony.

Jhaj – previously jailed in the UK for child sex offences – was arrested and remains in custody in France after being charged with a series of criminal offences.
The sex offender was allegedly the "groom" in a twisted mock wedding ceremony in which the nine-year-old girl was meant to act as his "bride".
The bizarre wedding was played out before 100 guests at Disneyland Paris' Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Vitalijs, who only uses his first name for security reasons, revealed he was offered the equivalent of £550 to play "the father of the bride".
He was first told he would be giving away the girl's 41-year-old mother.
But when he realised the "bride" was instead an underage girl, he immediately refused to be a part of the bizarre act- and plotted a plan to take down the fake wedding.
Vitalijs, who said he served as a paratrooper in the Red Army before the collapse of the old Soviet Union, added: "I knew I had to do something."
On the morning of the wedding, the 54-year-old Latvian broke into the Paris Disneyland without a pass and raised the alarm on the fake wedding.
Vitalijs, who does not speak French or English, said his special forces training to get in and carried a note with him.
It read: "This is not a real wedding. The girl is nine years old!"

Vitalijs said he approached the wedding stage and handed the note to Disney staff, who saw a "scared and confused" child in a big dress with four-inch heels taped to her feet.
They then ensured the wedding was stopped immediately.
French cops arrived within minutes, and several suspects, including Jhaj, were arrested and taken into custody.
Vitalijs was driven to a police station, where he was shown a fake British passport with his photo on it.
Vitalijs said: "I found out that my passport had been forged. I only remember the first name, Mikhail. I don't remember the surname.
"I remembered that a woman in Riga [Latvia] had asked me for a passport photo for a pass to Disneyland.
"Of course, I told the police that it wasn't me and that it wasn't my passport."

Vitalijs was released without charge, as was the Ukrainian mother and her child.
He said he had got to know the pair after meeting them at a casting session for the Disneyland stunt in the Czech Republic in May.
The mum told him she had known Jhaj for a year, even took her daughter on a holiday with the sex offender while also accepting cash from him.
Jhaj has been described as the "mastermind" behind the sick stunt.
After his arrest, the convicted paedophile told the examining magistrates in Meaux: "I'm just a simple actor who took part in a film shoot".
His lawyer, Jean-Christophe Ramadier, said Jhaj was solely placed in "provisional custody" because "he had no guarantee of legal representation in France, where he has no address".
In 2016, Jhaj was found guilty of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds in Britain.
Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the Meaux prosecutor, confirmed the Ukrainian child had not suffered "any violence, neither physical nor sexual" and had "not been forced into playing the bride".
Mr Bladier said Jhaj "played the role of the groom after having been professionally made up to display a face completely different from his own"
The investigation into the fake wedding continues.

PDC threatened with legal action amid complaints over the way darts is broadcast
Legal beaks are now keeping their eyes on a similar challenge by another sport DART OF WAR PDC threatened with legal action amid complaints over the way darts is broadcast Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE PDC have been threatened with legal action amid complaints over the way darts is broadcast. The controversy was sparked by last weekend's World Seniors Darts Champion of Champions event. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 The PDC has been threatened with legal action following Raymond van Barneveld's latest darts appearance Credit: Getty Ross Montgomery won the tournament with an 8-5 win against Richie Howson in the final. However, the presence of Raymond van Barneveld caused a ripple in the darting world. The Dutch superstar was a shock addition to the line-up before crashing out in the semis to Montgomery. That's because the tournament is part of the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT), with Van Gerwen holding an active PDC Tour card. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL HIT THE ROOF I worked 12-hour days as a roofer before darts stardom... I wouldn't burn out PDC stars are normally only allowed to feature in competitions sanctioned by their own group. And any non-PDC tournaments that players do feature in are non-televised. But the Champion of Champions competition was shown live on PlutoTV, leading to confusion over Van Barneveld's participation. And now, WSDT promoter Jason Francis claims the PDC could be threatened with legal action over its 'monopoly' on broadcasting live darts. BEST FREE BETS AND BETTING SIGN UP OFFERS He believes his group should be able to show off the game's top stars if they want to play in WSDT tournaments. And with a legal challenge currently in the works over how snooker is televised, a similar one could be coming for the world of darts. Fuming fans complain after Van Barneveld's World Darts Championship walk-on is 'massacred' in embarrassing blunder Francis told the Weekly Dartscast: "The PDC have a monopoly on broadcast darts. And if Raymond van Barneveld wants to be a professional player, he has to sign a PDC contract. 'There's no negotiation, there's no option, and because of their dominant position, what other choice do players have?" "If you have more than one person competing for the services of a professional sportsman, who wins? Ultimately, the player wins and the darts fan wins. "Why is that? Because as promoters, we have to put enough prize money up to attract Raynond van Barneveld, Luke Littler or Luke Humphries to our event. 'If someone else is doing that, we then have to fight over price. Then, the ticket prices come down." "It's no different to when supermarkets compete over a loaf of bread. Competition is good because the customer gets the best deal. But there is no competition in darts. 'The PDC have a complete monopoly on darts, and it is something that, in snooker, we are legally challenging. If that is successful, I would expect that to follow on in darts as well."

New Emma Raducanu romance rumour as tennis ace seen in stands after Carlos Alcaraz comments
New Emma Raducanu romance rumour as tennis ace seen in stands after Carlos Alcaraz comments Emma Raducanu has been making plenty of headlines at Wimbledon, and not just for her performance on the court, as romance rumours continue to surround the British star Emma Raducanu has been romantically linked with a second tennis player following rumours about her relationship with Carlos Alcaraz (Image: PA Wire ) As Emma Raducanu's 2025 Wimbledon campaign gets into full swing, the spotlight isn't just on her tennis prowess. The British No. 1, 22, has sparked fresh romance rumours, with former tennis prodigy Benjamin Heynold spotted cheering her on from the stands at the All England Club. Heynold, 24, a student at the University of North Carolina, was seen in a light blue shirt and cap, watching intently alongside Raducanu's coach Nick Cavaday during her second round win over Marketa Vondrousova on Wednesday. Heynold and Raducanu share a deep history, having known each other since they were six years old and represented Team GB together in their junior tennis days. Their long-standing friendship, evidenced by a heartwarming 2016 photo of the pair which has been doing the rounds on social media, has fuelled speculation that their relationship may have blossomed into something more serious. This isn't the first time Heynold has been by her side. He was also spotted in her team's corner during her quarter-final run at Queen's last month. His consistent presence, including appearing in the background of a selfie Raducanu took during the tournament, has only intensified whispers of a romantic connection. Rumours have also swirled around her friendship with reigning Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, with whom she is set to partner in mixed doubles at the US Open in August. The pair have been close since kicking off their pro careers in 2021, and speculation surrounding a possible romantic entanglement intensified when Raducanu was seen supporting Alcaraz at Queen's. The young Brit was asked to comment on the romance rumours at a press conference ahead of Wimbledon last week, and poured cold water on the speculation. "We're just good friends," she told reporters. Emma Raducanu and Benjamin Heynold have known each other for years (Image: Emma Raducanu/ Instagram ) Adding a playful twist to the narrative, Nick Kyrgios suggested that Raducanu might be at the centre of a "love triangle" involving Alcaraz and British No. 1 Jack Draper. "I don't know, I think it's a love triangle," the Australian tennis ace said on talkSPORT. "Draper, Alcaraz, Raducanu. They're fighting over Raducanu I think." While Kyrgios' comments were tongue-in-cheek, they highlight the intense public interest in Raducanu's personal life as she navigates her rising stardom. Raducanu, who split from her former boyfriend Carlo Agostinelli last year, has previously spoken about her strict upbringing in Bromley, where her parents discouraged dating to focus on her training. Now, as she balances her professional resurgence with personal scrutiny, her performance at Wimbledon remains the focal point. The Belarusian, runner-up at both the Australian Open and French Open this year, heads into Friday's match as the favourite to finally capture her maiden title at the All England Club. Still, if Raducanu can overcome the three-time Grand Slam champion, she'll instantly be seen as a genuine contender for the crown. Article continues below Her recent performances hint at a return to the form that propelled her to a sensational US Open victory in 2021 – but this showdown with Sabalenka will serve as a true test of her technical sharpness and mental resilience.
