Hoda Kotb feels ready for her next 'chapter' in life
The 60-year-old TV star has barely thought about romance since leaving the 'Today' show in January - but Hoda is now looking forward to the next "chapter" in her life.
Hoda - who has Haley, eight, and Hope, six, with former partner Joel Schiffman - told People: "I've been really getting my sea legs. When it happens will be the time it's supposed to happen."
Hoda is now looking forward to the future with optimism, admitting that she's open to finding someone new.
The broadcaster - who was married to Burzis Kanga between 2005 and 2008 - said: "When things are supposed to end, they end. And when things are supposed to begin, they begin.
"But you have to be wide open because if you're not, it's not happening. So I think that chapter is yet to come, but I know it's coming. And I'm excited for that chapter."
Hoda left her role on the 'Today' show on January 10, and she subsequently announced plans to launch her own wellness app.
During a conversation on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show', the host told Hoda: "I have to say though, ma'am, as soon as they told me you were not doing the 'Today' show, I was like, 'So what's that b**** doing?'
"I was like, 'Because there's no way you're not doing anything.' You're me, you like problems, you like working."
Hoda then admitted that she's determined to stay busy, before revealing her plans for her new wellness business.
The TV host shared: "I like things, I do.
"So, I kind of got hooked in the wellness space, like a couple of years ago. I started doing stuff that I thought seemed woo woo and weird, and then all of a sudden as I was doing it. I was like, 'Wait, I feel calmer, I feel better.'"
Hoda has been busily "building" her new business venture over recent times, and she's convinced that it has huge potential.
Hoda explained: "We can get together, do things that I love, and when you're done, it's not like going to Mexico with your girls, which is fun, but this is something that when you leave, you'll go like, 'Oh my gosh. I feel transformed. I feel different.' So I'm in the building process of that."

Billy Joel 'resisted' making documentaries about his life
Billy Joel has always "resisted" making documentaries about his career. The Piano Man singer explained that he has been hesitant to let the public into his life as he is "sick" of talking about himself before he agreed to the making of the two-part HBO documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes. In an interview with People, Billy said: "I've resisted this kind of thing for so long. I'm sick of talking about myself. Some of the stupid stuff I did, that's painful to talk about. (But) they asked me for some thematic guidance. I said, 'Just tell the truth.'" The documentary delves into how the Uptown Girl hitmaker has overcome substance abuse, failed marriages and mental health struggles during his lengthy career and Billy found the process "self-revelatory". The 76-year-old singer - who has daughter Alexa, 39, from his marriage to model Christie Brinkley, as well as Della, nine, and Remy, seven, from his relationship with current spouse Alexis Roderick - said: "There was some stuff I found out about myself. There was some self-revelatory stuff." Joel admits that he initially just wanted to get the documentary, which features contributions from his family and friends, "over with" as he is so reluctant to talk about himself. He said: "My goal was to get it over with. "When I do interviews, people just ask you about yourself and you get a little self-conscious about it eventually. It's almost embarrassing. "When you're talking about your personal life detached from the material... I suppose there's a little bit of wariness involved." The We Didn't Start the Fire singer feared that he would "hate" the film as it revisited some of the unhappier times in his life but he didn't feel that way when he watched the finished documentary. Billy - who has reassured fans he is "okay" after being diagnosed with the treatable brain condition normal pressure hydrocephalus in May, which forced him to cancel his upcoming concerts - explained: "You realise sometimes you were a jerk and you did something stupid or you were wrong, or you were mean and you didn't mean to be. Although I always maintain that the only original thing any of us really does is make mistakes. "I was worried, maybe I'm going to hate this thing, because it's a lot to ask of somebody, a lifetime of work. (But) at the end, I didn't hate it, which, to me, is the real compliment."

Bella Kidman Cruise returns to social media with cryptic post weeks after Nicole's low-key visit to London
Bella Kidman Cruise has shared a rare social media update just weeks after her world-famous mother Nicole Kidman made a quick trip to London. UK-based Bella works as a visual artist in the English capital but is understood to be somewhat estranged from her adopted mother Nicole and father Tom Cruise. Meanwhile, Nicole regularly shares family snaps with Bella's half-sisters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, from the Oscar winner's second marriage to Keith Urban. In recent months, Bella was noticeably absent from both a mother's day tribute by Nicole and a group photo of all the Kidman family women taken at the movie star's Nashville mansion. Bella also shares another half-sister, Suri Cruise, from Tom's third marriage to actress Katie Holmes. On Wednesday, Cruise posted a cryptic Instagram story showing images of two women's faces spliced together without a caption, marking her first social media update in months. In 2015, UK-based Bella married British I.T. consultant Max Parker but neither of her famous parents attended the nuptials. Nevertheless, Cruise reportedly helped pay for the event, while a Kidman source told People that Nicole was "very happy for Bella." Nicole was recently in London to appear at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and attended the men's singles final with newly retired Vogue editor Anna Wintour. It is understood Bella, 32, lives in the English capital with her husband but it is unclear if she saw her movie star mother or country star stepfather during the brief visit. Meanwhile, Nicole's only son Connor, 30, lives in Clearwater, Florida, a small city closely associated with the Scientology community. The Aussie movie star has not been photographed with her two elder children in more than 15 years and typically declines to discuss them in interviews out of respect of their religious beliefs. Tom and Nicole married in a private Christmas Eve ceremony in 1990, less than a year after he finalised his divorce from actress Mimi Rogers. The pair were married for 11 years and adopted Bella in 1992 and Connor in 1995 before separating in 2001. Kidman, 58, and Cruise, 63, were reportedly given joint custody of Bella and her younger brother Connor in the divorce. However, the adopted children, who are devout Scientologists like Cruise, opted to live with their father.

Man left in critical condition after trying to save Malcolm-Jamal Warner
A man left in critical condition after the drowning of Malcolm-Jamal Warner was trying to save him. The 54-year-old actor died after being swept away by a rip current on a beach in Costa Rica over the weekend and another unnamed man – who was injured in the incident – was actually a Good Samaritan who spotted Warner in difficulty and tried to save him. The Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) told PEOPLE in a statement: "The victim appears to have entered the sea and was apparently swept away by a current. The man was rescued by bystanders and taken to shore, where he received treatment from the Costa Rican Red Cross. However, he was declared lifeless at the scene." A spokesperson for the OIJ confirmed to PEOPLE that the second victim "came in [the water] to help Mr. Warner." The spokesperson added that the other person had no personal connection to Warner, but saw him from the beach and tried to help. The Cosby Show actor Warner was on vacation with his wife and daughter at the time of the accident, according to NBC News. The OIJ also confirmed that Warner's autopsy showed he died from accidental asphyxiation by submersion. It added: 'The body will be removed from the Judicial Morgue by a funeral service company hired by Mr. Warner's family.' Meanwhile, tributes to Malcolm poured in from across the showbiz world, with his 9-1-1 co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt stating that the tragedy "hurts my heart". She wrote on social media: "This hurts my heart. A gentleman, an incredible talent and we were so lucky to have him in the 9-1-1 family. Heartbroken and sending love to his family." Comedian Sherri Shepherd described Malcolm as "one of the most-grounded people I've met in our business" after working with him on the TV series Sherri. She said: "As someone who grew up on TV, Malcolm remained one of the most-grounded people I've ever met in our business. To know Malcolm was to know a renaissance man that possessed humour, grace, humility and deep cultural appreciation. He was just a good guy! "His passing is a true loss to the Hollywood community. He was a proud girl dad and loved his daughter so much. To his family, friends and all who loved him - my heart is with you."
