Key detail confirmed for Oasis Croke Park gigs with less than 100 days to go
The Britpop legends will play Croke Park on August 16 and 17 with support from Richard Ashcroft and Cast. And for those looking to get in early to get their favoured spot, doors are open at 4:30pm on Saturday, August 16 and 4:40pm on Sunday, August 17, according to promoters MCD.
Tickets for the Dublin gigs have sold out although there are a small number of resale tickets currently on offer on Ticketmaster. However, they don't come cheap with one seated ticket currently on sale for €502.90.
The Gallagher brother put one of the most famous feuds in music to bed last summer when they announced a series of comeback shows, starting at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday, July 4. Former bass player Andy Bell, who replaced original bassist Guigsy in 1999, recently confirmed he will also be back in the fold.
The full line-up has yet to be officially confirmed but it has widely been reported to include founding member Bonehead on guitar alongside Gem Archer with newcomer Joey Waronker on drums. Liam has recently dropped some hints of what to expect from the setlist, with some fan favourites looking like they won't be included.
When quizzed by fans on X, the frontman appeared to rule out 'Hey Now' and 'Go Let It Out'. Even more surprisingly, the younger Gallagher also seemed to say 'Acquiesce', a song about how the brothers need each other, had also not made the cut.
Responding to one disappointed fan about a tune missing out on the social networking site, Liam said: 'The setlist is done…now don't take it personally and call me hurty names as it's not my fault we can't play them all.'
This year is shaping up to a milestone year for Liam, 52, as he is also set to become a granddad for the first time. His daughter Molly Moorish-Gallagher recently announced her pregnancy.
Molly, 27, revealed on Instagram yesterday that she is expecting a baby with her partner, Nat Phillips. Sharing the news alongside a pregnancy emoji, she wrote: "Bulking season."
The post also contained a series of photos related to her pregnancy, including some showcasing her growing bump. Another showed a sneak peek at the baby clothes they've already bought, with various items displayed on a sheet in the photo.
One snap showed a T-shirt emblazoned with: "Cool mums have cool kids." Phillips, 28, is a footballer who is on loan at Derby County from Liverpool. The Reds have been the main challengers for the Premier League title with Liam's beloved Man City for most of the past decade.
But the singer is showing no signs of wavering loyalties despite his grandchild's father having featured for his team's great rivals. When asked by a fan earlier today what he hopes the tot's first words would be, Liam simply replied: "CITY".

Oasis fans boo Liam Gallagher as he dedicates song to the 'greatest of all time'
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher found himself facing boos from the crowd at the band's triumphant homecoming show at Heaton Park in Manchester on Friday night. Although, somewhat predictably, it was due to football rather than anything to do with the performance. Reunited brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher walked out to a hero's welcome, hand in hand, at the huge park on Friday night. But mid-way through the show, Liam brought things to a halt to make a special dedication. He said: "I'd like to dedicate this to the greatest manager of all time, Mr Pep Guardiola." But the mention of the Manchester City boss sparked some boos in the crowd. Clearly unimpressed, Liam retorted: "Who you f***ing booing, who you f***ing booing?" A video also panned to a life-sized cut-out of Pep that was placed on stage, with a Man City scarf around his neck. Thankfully it was greeted by laughs from the audience and Liam launched into an emphatic version of D'You Know What I Mean. In fact, Pep himself was spotted backstage at the show ahead of the band's headline performance. He was pictured posing with members of the Gallagher family, including Noel's daughter and Liam's sons. Earlier in the show, Noel had made a dedication to Manc royalty - The Royle Family's creators, comedians Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash. He said: "This one's for Caroline and Craig" before performing an acoustic singalong of the TV show's theme tune Half the World Away. Ahead of the band performing, Cast brought out a surprise guest for their opening support slot, whilst Richard Ashcroft paid tribute to a Manchester music legend on stage. Oasis will perform two sold-out shows in Croke Park in Dublin next month. Tickets for the Oasis reunion sold out across all venues due to huge demand when they went online earlier in the year. However, there are still several options available for fans trying to snag a last-minute spot. Limited last-minute tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans who can no longer go sell their seats, although these tend to go into and out of stock quickly. Elsewhere, resale sites like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Twickets are selling tickets for various dates, although fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets. Meanwhile, Seat Unique has some VIP tickets available offering a host of additional perks alongside access to the gig. Gerry Hannan from Late Late Frank McCourt video speaks out after fake obituary
Limerick's Gerry Hannan, who may be best known for accusing Frank McCourt of "peddling lies' in an iconic exchange on the Late Late Show in 1999, has set the record straight after a fake obituary was published about him one week ago. Mr Hannan, who became a nationwide name after a snippet of a now infamous Late Late Show interview with Angela's Ashes author Frank McCourt and Pat Kenny. In the 1999 segment, Pat opens the floor up to questions, introducing a yellow-suit clad Gerry, who Pat says has been involved in an 'ongoing battle with Frank McCourt'. 'It must be one sided, I don't know anything about that', Frank quickly interjects. Speaking over host Pat Kenny, who was attempting to share a book about Limerick and Frank McCourt that Gerry had penned, exclaimed: 'Yes you do, you know everything about it Frank, you have been peddling lies about Limerick for the last two and a half years.' He continues: 'In every television station, in every newspaper, you have told lies, about Limerick, about your mother, about Theresa Carmody, about Willie Harold, you have done nothing but lied. 'You are a liar, you are a self confessed liar'. The Limerick man goes on to say that the Angela's Ashes character Theresa Carmody was 'three days away from her death' when McCourt penned that he had 'sexual intercourse' with her in the book - alleging that Frank never mentioned it was with her consent, before asking 'Was it with her consent Frank?'. Frank then calmly responds, 'there was Theresa Carmody, it was a made up name'. Before the pair engage in a back and forth about how factual Frank's famous book was. The iconic video became a part of Ireland's cultural fabric, with Hardy Buck's star Viper Higgins propelling it further with a parody of the exchange. But around one week ago, an obituary popped up for the 'Limerick‑born writer, broadcaster, historian and archivist' Gerry Hannan on EverLoved, reporting he had 'passed away peacefully on 5 July 2025 at University Hospital Limerick'. News spread like wildfire across social media that Gerry had passed, with tributes flooding Instagram stories and Facebook posts - but around two days after the obituary surfaced, Gerry went live on his YouTube channel to set the record straight and confirm the rumours of his 'early demise have been greatly exaggerated". In a video on YouTube titled I'm Not Dead Gerry shared: 'I know people are very disappointed to learn that I am actually still alive and I have no idea but I could make a highly educated guess as to who is behind posting my obituary notice'. He went on to say that he was struck that 'no one seemed to show any real remorse' at his 'demise', adding that a particular individual was still 'peddling lies' about them.
