Oasis' best love tracks snubbed on the tour as fans react to setlist
After the first triumphant show in Cardif you can read the set list in full and see the songs missing from live tour The Oasis Live tour setlist is an epic collection of their biggest hits - but there are some great tracks missing too. Fans who weren't at Cardiff but are heading to see the band in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin were also looking to see which songs had made the cut. They will see that the band, including frontman Liam Gallagher, played only songs from the Nineties, with nothing from their later albums. Amongst those missing which are popular amongst fans are Columbia, Lyla, Go Let It Out, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, The Importance Of Being Idle and the Beatles classic I Am The Walrus, which the band sometimes play as an encore. Commenting on the set list, Paul Johnson said on X: 'There's absolute bangers they left out.' Mick Went 57 said: 'Good but no Colombia? Def in their top 5 imo.' The actual set list was 23 songs long with many fan favourites including Slide Away, Supersonic, Whatever, Don't Look Back In Anger and Stand By Me. It was estimated more than 100,000 people travelled to Cardiff on Friday, with some hoping to get a last minute ticket or just to be there to celebrate in the pubs and bars as they parties late into the night with Oasis songs played on loop. Fans Lachlan Weekes and Jayden Helm, who spent more than a day travelling from Sydney, Australia, to attend the concert in the Welsh capital, were among fans gathering ahead of the gig. Mr Weekes said: "We've been planning it forever. We always said that if they got back together, we'd be at that first show." Mr Helm said: "We've been lifelong fans - we're 22 and 21, so haven't really had a chance to see them before. "We always said it was worth it to come, we wouldn't miss it for the world," he added. "To take time off work to come over here, it's more than worth it." The pair also visited Manchester, where the band formed in 1991, stopping off at Heaton Park as part of their personal Oasis tour. The brothers announced the Oasis Live '25 tour last August, starting with two dates in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday, before heading across the UK and Ireland. In the tour programme Noel reflected on playing with Oasis and his brother, saying: 'People will never forget the way you made them feel.' He also mused about why so many people of all ages tried to get tickets for the Oasis Live 25 tour. Noel said: 'A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn't manufactured. It was chaotic, and flawed, and not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready guys from a rehearsal room, and people recognised it.' The full set list from the opening show in Cardiff on Friday night was: Hello Acquiesce Morning Glory Some Might Say Bring It on Down Cigarettes & Alcohol Fade Away Supersonic Roll With It D'You Know What I Mean? Stand By Me Cast No Shadow Slide Away Whatever Live Forever Rock 'n' Roll Star Encore Wonderwall Champagne Supernova

Liam and Noel Gallagher will reunite on stage for the first time in 16 years with their huge reunion tour this summer (Image: Getty Images ) Whether or not you managed to get tickets, you may want to get your Oasis fix before the reunion tour kicks off in a couple of weeks time. Now, the BBC have decided to be incredibly generous and broadcast a night of Gallagher best bits on Saturday, June 21. In two weeks time we will (hopefully) see the notoriously feuding brothers take the stage for the first time together in 15 years. Their reunion tour kicks off in Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday, July 4 with a second show at the venue on Saturday, July 5. BBC Two Wales will be airing two different Oasis performances as well as a documentary on the band from 8.35pm to 00.00am on the Saturday. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter Dig out your anoraks and bucket hats, because it's the perfect night in for fans of the band and if you didn't get your hands on tickets it is the closest thing to the real deal. Well, that or seeing a tribute artist I guess. Moving on. From 8.35pm fans of the band can watch Oasis at the BBC, followed by the documentary Oasis: Right Here, Right Now at 10.20pm. Article continues below Lastly, at 11.00pm audiences will be treated to a studio concert by the Gallagher brothers, hosted by Jools Holland called Later Presents Oasis. It was first shown in April 2000, and includes tracks like the number one Go Let It Out, as well as earlier hits like Wonderwall, Some Might Say and Supersonic. If you're planning on watching BBC's coverage and you're still searching for tickets for the gigs, there are several options still available. Tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resell site, Viagogo, Vividseats, See Tickets, StubHub, Seat Unique, and Twickets. You can find more information here. Viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused. However, fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets. Lloyds Banking Group estimated that Oasis fans collectively lost more than £2 million to scams since tickets for the band's long-awaited reunion tour went on sale last year. Important detail confirmed for Oasis Croke Park gigs just over 90 days away
The door times at Croke Park have been confirmed for Oasis' much-anticipated return to Dublin later this summer. The Britpop legends will play Croke Park on August 16 and 17 with support from Richard Ashcroft and Cast. And for those looking to get in early to get their favoured spot, doors are open at 4.30pm on Saturday, August 16 and 4.40pm on Sunday, August 17, according to promoters MCD, reports Dublin Live. Tickets for the Dublin gigs have long since sold out, but with just over 90 days to go, there are a small number of resale tickets currently on offer on Ticketmaster. However, they don't come cheap, with one seated ticket currently on sale for €502.90. The Gallagher brothers caused a stir last summer when putting one of the most famous feuds in music to bed and announcing a series of comeback shows, which will get underway at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday, July 4. Former bass player Andy Bell, who replaced original bassist Guigsy in 1999, recently confirmed he will also be back in the fold. The full band line-up has yet to be officially confirmed but it has widely been reported to include founding member Bonehead on guitar alongside Gem Archer, with newcomer Joey Waronker on drums. Liam has recently dropped some hints of what to expect from the setlist, with some fan favourites looking like they won't be included. The younger Gallagher appeared to rule out Hey Now and Go Let It Out when questioned on X recently. More surprisingly, Liam also suggested that Acquiesce, a song about how the brothers need each other, had also not made the cut. Responding to one disappointed fan about a tune missing out, Liam said: "The setlist is done... now don't take it personally and call me hurty names as it's not my fault we can't play them all." This year is shaping up to a milestone year for Liam, 52, as he is also set to become a granddad for the first time. His daughter Molly Moorish-Gallagher recently announced her pregnancy. Molly, 27, revealed on Instagram yesterday that she is expecting a baby with her partner, Liverpool footballer Nat Phillips. Sharing the news alongside a pregnancy emoji, she wrote: "Bulking season." The post also contained a series of photos related to her pregnancy, including some showcasing her growing bump. Another showed a sneak peek at the baby clothes they've already bought, with various items displayed on a sheet in the photo. One snap showed a T-shirt emblazoned with: "Cool mums have cool kids." Phillips, 28, is on loan at Derby County from Premier League title winners Liverpool, who had been the biggest challengers to Liam's beloved Man City for most of the past decade. But the singer is showing no signs of wavering loyalties despite his grandchild's father having featured for his team's great rivals. When asked by a fan what he hopes the tot's first words would be, Liam simply replied: "CITY".

Oasis re-release Standing on the Shoulder of Giants with 25th anniversary LP and T-shirts
Oasis have announced they will release a 25th anniversary edition of their fourth album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants this month. Ahead of their comeback tour, the band are revisiting their 2000 record by making it available on a limited edition silver vinyl LP and limited edition purple vinyl LP. The band have also released anniversary T-shirts. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants will be back in shops and on their website on Friday, February 28, exactly 25 years after its initial release. Back in 2000, the record was not their best received and coincided with a general downturn in fortunes for both the band and the Britpop scene. However, the album did spawn their long-time walk on instrumental Fuckin' in the Bushes and also Little James, which was an early songwriting effort by Liam Gallagher. Until that point, all Oasis songs had been written by his brother Noel. It was also the first to feature guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell, who would become longtime members, alongside drummer Alan White. Founding members Guigsy and Bonehead had left the band after their third album Be Here Now. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants reached number one in the UK, selling more than 600,000 units to go double platinum. The first single, Go Let It Out, also reached the UK's number one and Who Feels Love? made number four. However, it is not one fondly remembered by Noel Gallagher. 'Spike [producer Mike Stent] was really good at technically recording it,' he said in 2009. 'The sounds on that album on Who Feels Love? and Go Let It Out are brilliant, but the songs are not there. It's symbolic of the record, the sound is pretty good, the playing is good, but the songs are not there. There are no killer singles on it.' In another interview, Gallagher added: 'I got bogged down trying to reinvent something… But all the lyrics to that album are amazing. There are some real proper pieces of music there… But we were all coming out of the party and it was like recording an album with a serious hangover.' Oasis have not said if they have plans to re-release their 2005 album Don't Believe the Truth for its 20th anniversary, or if they will put out an album of new material. Their tour kicks off in July in Cardiff and will take in seven dates at London's Wembley Stadium.
