
Dubai: Accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road causes 10-minute delay
An accident took place on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road on Tuesday morning amid the morning rush hour, the Dubai Police announced in an advisory to motorists.
The incident took place before Expo Bridge towards Abu Dhabi. The authority warned of expected delays and congestion in the area.
Google Maps shows a 10-minute delay on the route, which passes by Jumeirah Village Circle and the Green Community, heading towards Expo.
Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes and exercise caution.

UAE weather tomorrow: Humid conditions with partly cloudy skies
On June 30, UAE residents can expect humid conditions towards night, which will extend into Tuesday morning over some coastal areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The skies will be partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over the eastern coast. Light to moderate winds will blow in a northwesterly to southwesterly direction. The wind will blow at speeds of 10 to 25kmph, reaching 35kmph. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea. In UAE, rain and hail during summer is not uncommon, and is a welcome sight for residents looking to escape the heat. Recently, the country welcomed its first hail of summer 2025 on June 28. Heavy showers were witnessed in parts of Al Ain like Khatm Al Shakla and Malaqit.
