'The Club wishes him the best of luck in the future, both personally and professionally.'
Garrido, 21, joined the club back in 2012, at the Benjamin C level and rose through the ranks at La Masia, going on to become the Barça Atletic captain this season.
The midfielder even made his first-team debut for the Blaugrana during the 2022/23 season under former manager Xavi Hernandez against Elche in La Liga – his only senior appearance.
Having missed a good chunk of the season due to injury, Garrido did establish himself as a regular in the team after returning but could not stop Barça Atletic from getting relegated.
Now, with his contract expiring on June 30, the 21-year-old has opted to move on from Barcelona and embark on a new journey, with Eibar understood to be his next club.

Official: Barcelona starting lineup against Daegu FC
Barcelona have officially named their starting XI for the final match of their South Korea tour, with Hansi Flick introducing a number of changes to freshen up his side against Daegu FC. This comes after two relatively strong line-ups in the earlier fixtures, especially in the clash against Seoul FC, where Flick fielded a team close to his preferred starting group for competitive matches. One of the standout decisions is the inclusion of Pedro 'Dro' Fernandez, who missed out on action against Seoul. Flick has handed the youngster a starting role, offering him another opportunity to prove himself. Meanwhile, Gerard Martín is being used as a left-sided centre-back, highlighting the coaching staff's willingness to test tactical flexibility in pre-season. In goal, Joan Garcia keeps his place, having now established himself as a regular presence during this Asian tour. With physical fatigue starting to kick in and the oppressive humidity in Daegu, Flick has chosen a more balanced starting XI. Despite the rotations, the front three remains untouched, showing Flick's confidence in the attacking trio of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha. Their consistent presence suggests that Flick is already shaping the attacking core of his team heading into the new season. Once the match in Daegu concludes, Barcelona will make their way back to Seoul and then return to Spain. The team will enjoy a short break before taking centre stage in the Joan Gamper Trophy next Sunday. That game, which will be held at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, will see Barça face Italian side Como.

Bayern CEO Dreesen comments on rumours about Woltemade and Williams
Bayern Munich are currently running the transfer market - but only with rumours and some rejections. That's why Bayern's CEO Jan-Christian Deesen felt the need to comment on their recent transfer business and rumours regarding Bilbao's Nico Williams and Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade: Dreesen on Nico Williams: 'The ten-year contract is a statement. We should never forget that Nico Williams is Basque and Athletic Bilbao exclusevly have Basque players. They have their own rules there. Besides, his brother plays there, which was certainly a deciding factor. And if I read everything correctly in Germany, he was no longer being discussed for us, but for Barcelona.' Bayern were reportedly always keeping tabs on the Spanish winger, but were well informed of the fact that Barcelona would have been Williams' more likely destination - if he had decided to leave Bilbao. The transfer saga around Nick Woltemade however, has been going on for a while now - and there is no end in sight at this moment in time. As per many reports in German media, Stuttgart and Bayern have decided to put the talks about Woltemade on hold for now. That's why Dreesen didn't comment much on the German striker: 'There is only one thing to say about that - Nick Woltemade is a VfB Stuttgart player and it's not appropiate to stir up any discussions or make comments.' According to Sky Germany, Woltemade has reiterated to Stuttgart from his vacation that he wants to join Bayern this summer. Both parties however, are still reserved, since Bayern has not come forward with a written offer for Woltemade - and Stuttgart have not set a definitve asking price for their striker.

'Immense injustice' - Cristiano Ronaldo's decision not to attend Diogo Jota's funeral defended by Portuguese FA after 'unfair' criticism
Liverpool forward passed away on July 3 Tributes flooded in from around the world Ronaldo among those to pay his respects Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? Liverpool forward Jota tragically lost his life alongside brother Andre Silva in a road traffic accident on July 3. Just days after marrying childhood sweetheart Rute Cardoso, the 28-year-old was involved in a fatal crash when travelling through northern Spain to a ferry port. THE BIGGER PICTURE Domestic and international team-mates attended an emotional service in his hometown of Gondomar - including Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Virgil van Dijk - but Ronaldo opted to stay away as he feared his presence would overshadow proceedings. WHAT PROENCA SAID Pedro Proenca, head of the Portuguese Football Federation, has said of the criticism that Ronaldo attracted: 'It's an immense injustice to say that Cristiano, in some way, played a more detached role in this. From the very beginning, the captain was with us and was one of the people who most closely connected with the national team family, with Jota's own blood family. 'And I say it again: what they said about our captain is unfair. Cristiano Ronaldo, he was one of the people who felt it the most, especially because he was a true team-mate of Jota. His physical absence means nothing more than that, because he never abandoned this family.' RONALDO'S TRIBUTE Ronaldo and Jota made 32 international appearances together, winning the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and 2025. CR7 posted on social media after learning that a close friend had passed: 'It doesn't make sense. Just now we were together in the national team, just now you had gotten married. 'To your family, your wife, and your children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. I know you will always be with them. Rest in Peace, Diogo and André. We will all miss you.' WHY RONALDO DID NOT ATTEND FUNERAL Ronaldo's sister, Katia, said of the decision not to travel to Jota's funeral: 'When my father died, in addition to the pain of loss, we had to deal with a flood of cameras and curious onlookers at the cemetery and everywhere we went. 'And attention was not what it is today in terms of access... At no time were we (the children) able to leave the chapel; it was only possible at the time of the burial, such was the commotion. 'At the funeral, there were presidents, coaches of the national team at the time, such as Luís Filipe Scolari, etc. I don't remember seeing any of them. And they certainly greeted me. The pain blinded me. 'About pain/family and real support... You will never know what it means until you go through it. If someone sends me a message criticising anything my brother does, I will block it (completely ignore it), that is, they will only do it once. 'It's getting tiring. The fanaticism. The criticism for nothing, I repeat nothing... Sick society... We all have families. 'It is absurdly shameful to watch TV channels/commentators/social networks emphasising an absence (wise) rather than respectfully honouring the pain of a mutilated family destroyed by the loss of two brothers. I am even ashamed to watch. Regrettable. 'And so the world goes... Society and opinion. Today they are worthless. They themselves have become bottomless pits. I feel sorry... And war is also like that. Believe me. Human evil is also a war. And every day we have to fight against it. And so it goes.' JOTA'S LEGACY Liverpool have retired Jota's No.20 shirt as a mark of respect, with tributes having been paid to the Premier League title-winning Portugal international by millions of people across the world.
