Coolie Stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan Watch Sitaare Zameen Par With Aamir Khan
The team of Lokesh Kanagaraj's highly-anticipated action thriller 'Coolie' starring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Aamir Khan recently came together for the trailer launch event held in Chennai. During a break in the event, the actors enjoyed watching Aamir's film Sitaare Zameen Par on YouTube! Pictures that have surfaced on social media show Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Anirudh, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and others watching the movie as it played on a television screen.
On Sunday, Aamir Khan Productions shared a series of pictures on Instagram with the caption, 'You say movie night, and your gang pulls up @shrutzhaasan @rajnikanth @soubinshahir @nimmaupendra @lokesh.kanagaraj @anirudhofficial @sivakarthikeyan." Shruti Haasan, Aamir, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Anirudh, Nagarjuna Akkineni and other members of team Coolie were all smiles as they gathered around a television, watching Sitaare Zameen Par together. Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, released in theatres on 20th June. After a successful theatrical run, the film was released on YouTube from August 1, through a pay-per-view model. Aamir Khan bypassed traditional streaming platforms entirely, and his movie is now available to watch on YouTube for Rs 100.
Meanwhile, the trailer launch of Rajinikanth starrer Coolie turned into a celebration in Chennai on Saturday. In one of the highlights of the day, Rajinikanth stopping Bollywood actor Aamir Khan from touching his feet and instead embracing him with a warm hug. The event saw the presence of several stars and crew members, but Aamir Khan's surprise appearance garnered cheers.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Coolie features an ensemble cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan. Aamir Khan will appear in a special role as 'Dahaa'. The music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Coolie is slated for theatrical release on August 14 and is expected to clash at the box office with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR.

Mohit Suri on making Saiyaara over Aashiqui 3: No pressure of sequel, opening day
'Saiyaara' director Mohit Suri recently admitted that he was initially in talks with 'Aashiqui 3' producers to develop his next movie as part of the franchise. However, he decided to step away since the producers were in a "hurry to begin" the in an interview with PTI, revealed that he was "more than glad when Anurag Basu took over." He said, "'The Aashiqui 3' thing... it was too nascent. They (the Aashiqui 3 producers) asked me if I would be interested in making it. This was the idea I had. But I don't commit to something till I have a script ready. They were in a hurry to begin, so I was more than glad when Anurag took over, but I couldn't rush the process."advertisementSuri highlighted that with 'Saiyaara', he did not have any pressure of a sequel or box office opening to live up to. "Once there was no sequel pressure or of a star cast which had an opening number to live up to, I stopped caring about the commerce. And I just went and made a film," he went on.
