What time does 'The Gilded Age' come out? Release date, cast, where to watch
HBO's lavish period drama, created by "Downton Abbey's" Julian Fellowes, returned for its third season on June 22 to record-high viewership. About 2.7 million U.S. viewers tuned in across platforms within the first three days of the season premiere, HBO said.
"The Gilded Age" follows high society and the battle between "old money" and "new money" in 1800s New York.
In the new season, the old guard is losing its powerful grip following the Opera War, while the Russells "stand poised to take their place at the head of society," according to the season synopsis.
"Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn't ruin him first," the synopsis says, adding, "across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada's new position as lady of the house."
"As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear," it concludes.

Everything to know about ‘Too Much,' Lena Dunham's Netflix TV show starring Megan Stalter that's kinda, sorta ‘based on a true story'
Originally published June 10; updated July 9 with new information. Writer, director, actress, producer, author, and comedian Lena Dunham is doing Too Much. More from Gold Derby 'Ne Zha 2,' explained: How it became the biggest animated film ever and is recruiting Oscar talent for the U.S. release 'Severance' leads Television Critics Association Awards nominations with 5 The eight-time Emmy nominee and two-time Golden Globe winner for HBO's Girls has movied to Netflix for her latest romantic comedy series starring Megan Stalter (Hacks) and Will Sharpe (The White Lotus). The new show, which has an international flare, is created by Dunham and Luis Felber, who previously collaborated together on the 2022 film Catherine Called Birdy. Read on for everything to know about Too Much. "It's certainly not quote-unquote 'based on a true story,' but like everything I do, there is an element of my own life that I can't help but inject," Dunham told Variety two days before the debut of Too Much. As for her leading lady Stalter, Dunahm said, "She has an innocence and manners that are not very New York. She's not a nihilistic or cynical person, and I would like to be more that way. Meg just has this quality where no matter what she's doing, no matter what she's saying, you believe her. ... We feel like two kids that are telling secrets and laughing, and just able to be our childlike selves together. And that made it really interesting to be directed by her, because I feel so connected to her." Stalter plays a New Yorker named Jessica, who starts a new life in London after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend. There, she finds a fresh connection with Felix, played by Sharpe. Additional cast members and guest stars include: Michael Zegan, Janicza Bravo, Richard E. Grant, Leo Reich, Daisy Bevan, Adele Exarchopoulos, Dean-Charles Chapman, Rita Wilson, Naomi Watts, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Andrew Rannells, Rhea Perlman, Emily Ratajkowski, Stephen Fry, Kaori Momoi, Adwoa Aboah, Andrew Scott, Jennifer Saunders, Kit Harington, Rita Ora, Jessica Alba, and Dunham. Here is how Netflix describes the expat rom-com: "Jessica is a New York workaholic in her mid-30s, reeling from a broken relationship that she thought would last forever and slowly isolating everyone she knows. When every block in New York tells a story of her own bad behavior, the only solution is to take a job in London, where she plans to live a life of solitude like a Brontë sister. But when she meets Felix — a walking series of red flags — she finds that their unusual connection is impossible to ignore, even as it creates more problems than it solves. Now they have to ask themselves: do Americans and Brits actually speak the same language?" A two-minute video trailer was released on June 10 and showcases a very "unhappy" Jessica, who goes wild after her breakup. She travels to London, the home of her favorite movie, Spice World, to regroup and try to find her "English dream." That's where she comes into contact with Felix, who accuses her of being a "Love Actually girl" — that's a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that the Too Much producers also produced that romantic comedy film. Dunham serves as an executive producer on Too Much alongside Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones, and Bruce Eric Kaplan, plus producer Camilla Bray. Felber is the music composer and a cowriter. Dunham writes or cowrites all of the episodes. The series reportedly filmed on location in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, U.K., in early 2024, and then production traveled to Brooklyn to shoot in mid-2024. All 10 episodes of Too Much will be available to stream on Netflix on July 10. It will be eligible at the 2026 Emmys. Cuoco said it would have been heartbreaking no matter when the series ended. More Michael Yarish/CBS Sussman needs to try to fix his mistake, and along the way he'll be running into alternate universe versions of characters from "The Big Bang Theory." He's joined by his girlfriend Denise (Lapkus), a geologist buddy named Bert (Posehn), and quantum physicist Barry (Bowie). The show will incorporate elements of fantasy, comedy and science fiction along with using plenty of CGI. Chuck Lorre executive produces "Stuart Fails to Save the Universe" along with Bill Prady and Zak Penn. Lorre said, "I wanted to do something radical that would take me out of my comfort zone. Something the characters on 'The Big Bang Theory' would have loved, hated, and argued about." "I was on a vision quest in the most remote parts of the Amazon Rainforest when a carrier pigeon arrived with a note from Chuck Lorre asking if I wanted to help make a show that the characters from 'Big Bang Theory' would watch," Penn said. "I couldn't resist that idea, so I packed up my yurt and hailed the next dirigible out. At the same time, Chuck sent an expedition to locate Bill Prady, who had been frozen with his shield across his chest in a block of arctic ice." "The team assembled, we set out to make this insane show, which lives in a universe created by Chuck and Bill. I couldn't be more honored to be working with these amazing people." Prady incorporated fewer stories about vision quests in his own statement, saying, "The process of writing this show with Chuck and Zak has been damn fun, and I'm certain that joy will come through the screen." "Putting characters we loved from 'The Big Bang Theory' into a complex science fiction story with the kind of mythology that those characters love while maintaining the comedic elements is incredibly satisfying."
