Over 87,000 allocations made in DU's 2nd round of UG admissions
According to the university, the fresh round saw 24,843 new allocations, while 27,314 students were upgraded to higher preferences, reflecting significant internal reshuffling after the first round. Additionally, 17,922 candidates chose to freeze their previously allotted seats.
The changes came after 43,741 students opted for upgrades following the first list, which saw 93,166 seat offers made for the 71,624 available UG seats across 69 colleges and 79 programmes. Of these, 62,565 candidates confirmed their admissions.
DU officials said the second list accommodates not just fresh preferences but also considers newly vacated seats, giving thousands of aspirants another opportunity to secure their preferred colleges or programmes. The upgrade and reordering window for the second round was open till 4:59 pm on July 25. The admissions are being conducted based on the CUET-UG scores, along with factors like category reservations, programme choices and eligibility.
Seats have been allotted across various categories, including Unreserved, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD, Kashmiri Migrants, Sikh Minority, Single Girl Child and Orphan. Meanwhile, the DU said the allocation for performance-based courses, such as Hindustani Music, Karnataka Music, Percussion Music, Physical Education and Fine Arts, will take place in the third round. Students applying to these programmes are advised to monitor the college websites for the trial and evaluation schedules. The academic session for first-year students is set to begin from August 1.

Such applicants can now edit their subject preferences and submit revised choices. The seat allocation will consider only those preferences submitted by 5:00 pm on August 10. Third Round Allocation Details The third round allocations will be based on the candidate data available as of 5:00 PM, August 10. Notably, the minimum marks and rank cutoffs for this round will differ from previous ones. The university has clarified that no complaints regarding variations in cutoffs or ranks will be considered. RRB NTPC Admit Card 2025: How to download when released?
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are expected to release the RRB NTPC Admit Cards 2025 soon for the upcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT-1) for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate). As per the official notice, the admit cards or e-call letters will be made available for download four days prior to the respective exam dates. Once released, candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the regional RRB websites such as and others. The first stage CBT for CEN 06/2024 is scheduled to be held from August 7 to September 9, over a period of 19 days. The link to view the exam city and date along with the facility to download travel authority for SC/ST candidates is already active on the official websites of all RRBs. Step 1: Visit the official Railway Recruitment Board website or the regional RRB portal through which you applied. Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link titled CEN 06/2024 (NTPC-UG): CBT-1 City-Intimation & E-Call Letter. Step 4: Enter your Registration Number (User ID), Password (Date of Birth in DD-MM-YYYY format), and the Captcha Code. Step 5: Click on the submit button. Your admit card will appear on the screen. Step 6: Download and print at least two copies of the admit card. Carry a hard copy to the examination centre on the day of the test. The RRB, in one of its notice has stated that for candidates who do not remember their registration credentials, the regional website also provides an option to retrieve the application number or reset the password using the 'Forget Password' link on the login page. The RRB NTPC CBT-1 exam will be a computer-based test comprising 100 multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks. The exam will be conducted over 90 minutes and will include three sections: General Awareness (40 questions for 40 marks) Mathematics (30 questions for 30 marks) General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 questions for 30 marks) There will be a negative marking of 1/3 mark for every incorrect answer.
