
Myntra launches hiring drive ahead of flagship sale
'The creation of over 20,000 employment opportunities for the 22nd edition of EORS to meet the expected surge in demand is a testament to our 'Customer First' commitment," said Myntra's chief human resources officer Govindraj M K, the Press Trust of India reported. "We are happy to provide income augmentation opportunities for our delivery partners in Myntra's biggest edition of EORS.'
The new roles span logistics, customer service, and last-mile delivery, Apparel Resources India reported. As part of this hiring push, around 4,500 delivery partners and 1,000 customer service agents have been onboarded.
Myntra also noted that approximately 22% of the newly hired warehouse workforce are women. These team members are involved in key operational tasks such as sorting, grading and packing, across fulfilment centres located in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi. The hiring initiative comes as Myntra prepares for one of its largest sales to date, reflecting continued growth in customer engagement and demand during marquee events, the Deccan Herald reported.

Flipkart claims that throughout the Live Stream marathon, engagement spiked 2.5 times compared to the business-as-usual period.

The 22nd edition of Myntra 's End of Reason Sale (EORS) reported a 2 times surge in orders over normal days while registering a 1.3 X growth in new customers over the last edition of EORS. Shoppers from Tier 2 and beyond played a crucial role in driving growth, contributing nearly 60 percent of the total orders placed. Cities like Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Jammu, Panipat, Jalandhar, Gorakhpur, Hisar, Mysore, and Udaipur emerged as high-traction hubs, showcasing Myntra's growing reach in non-metros. Commenting on EORS, Bharath Kumar, head of revenue growth at Myntra in a statement said, 'The 22nd edition of EORS has been exceptional, underscoring Myntra's position as one of the leading enablers of fashion, beauty and lifestyle commerce in India. It reflects the love and trust our customers continue to place in us. We're grateful to the millions of shoppers from across the country, from metros to smaller towns, who made this a truly memorable event.' Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy meets with farmers in Malur
Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy visited Malur to meet farmers supplying fresh produce to the e-commerce company's hyperlocal service Flipkart Minutes, as part of its focus on inclusive growth through direct sourcing. Krishnamurthy was joined by Flipkart Minutes vice president Kabeer Biswas at a Flipkart Minutes fulfilment store, where they interacted with several small-scale farmers, the business announced in a press release. Among them was Krishnappa, who grows capsicum, cucumber, and chillies across four acres of land, and Padma, who has cultivated coriander, methi, and palak on her three-acre farm for over a decade. The visit highlighted Flipkart's direct sourcing model, which is designed to connect local farmers with urban consumers through a streamlined supply chain. Produce is delivered fresh to Flipkart's fulfilment centres every morning before reaching customers within minutes through Flipkart Minutes. Later in the day, Krishnamurthy and Biswas surprised customers in parts of Bengaluru including Boganahalli and Bellandur by personally delivering orders as Flipkart Wishmasters. The initiative forms part of Flipkart's ongoing efforts to strengthen its fresh food supply chain while fostering sustainable, long-term partnerships with farming communities across India.
