For Kumkum Bhagya's Namik Paul, Health Is Non-Negotiable
Namik Paul opened up about how he manages to stay fit despite his demanding schedule.
Actor Namik Paul joined the cast of the popular TV show Kumkum Bhagya last month. In the latest storyline, Namik steps in as Shivansh Randhava, an intense and mysterious character. While Namik is busy exploring this new role, he is also making sure his fitness routine doesn't take a back seat. The Qubool Hai actor opened up about how he manages to stay active despite the demanding schedule on set.
Speaking to IANS, Namik said, 'For me, health and fitness have always been non-negotiable. It's never just been about looking a certain way—it's about feeling strong, staying energised, and maintaining control over both my mind and body."
Even on busy shoot days, Namik finds small gaps between scenes to get in some movement. Sometimes it is a few push-ups, jumping jacks, short walks or anything to keep the 'blood flowing."
The actor also shared his approach to eating right. He always keeps healthy snacks with him on set and drinks plenty of water. While he's mindful of his dietary choices, he also believes in treating himself every now and then.
'I believe in balance, so I indulge in a cheat meal now and then. It's all about enjoying the little things without compromising the bigger picture," he added.
On days when he is not shooting, Namik said he pushes himself harder in the gym. 'My workouts are a mix of strength training, muscle conditioning, and cardio. At the end of the day, fitness is not a phase or a checklist item—it's what keeps me grounded, centred, and ready to give my best," he said.
Earlier, while speaking to IANS, Namik had opened up about the emotional depth of his character. He said, 'Shivansh is a good man at heart, but circumstances pushed him down a darker path. Portraying that shift in his personality, while keeping him real and relatable, will be creatively fulfilling."
He had also hinted at a suspenseful backstory for his character and added that viewers will gradually discover what shaped him into the person he is. Namik had expressed excitement about showing this intense new side of himself on screen.
Kumkum Bhagya has been one of Zee TV's longest-running shows. It previously featured actors like Sriti Jha, Shabir Ahluwalia, Mugdha Chaphekar, Krishna Kaul, and Abrar Qazi. The current storyline is led by Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra.

Avika Gor reveals fiance Milind Chandwani friend-zoned her at first sight before confessing his love
TV actress Avika Gor has opened up about her unique love story with fiancé Milind Chandwani, revealing a surprising twist at the beginning of their relationship. In a recent interview with IANS , the 'Balika Vadhu' actress shared that Milind initially friend-zoned her when they first met, unaware that their bond would eventually turn into something deeper. When asked how their relationship began, Avika shared that it all started with friendship. She revealed that when they first met, Milind immediately friend-zoned her. 'It started with friendship. I was friend-zoned at first, but after six months, he realised his feelings. It's been six years now, and we're engaged. It feels like a lot has happened, and it's been a beautiful journey.' Interestingly, Avika announced her wedding with Milind during the grand premiere of Colors' new reality show 'Pati Patni Aur Panga.' Making the big announcement, she shared, 'There's something incredibly poetic about going back to the place where it all began with gratitude, nostalgia, and a sense of purpose. Balika Vadhu taught me and so many people out there, the power of choice and the courage it takes to rewrite your destiny. Years later, I return to Colors not as Anandi the Balika, but as Avika Gor the woman, ready to make the choice of a lifetime.' 'My fiancé, Milind, has been my partner in growth, my strongest ally, and the fellow dreamer who sees me beyond the roles and scripts. When he asked me to spend my life with him, I yelled out the easiest yes of my life. We're two imperfect people choosing to grow together, to challenge each other, and to build something real. I couldn't imagine a more fitting place to share that than here, where it all started. Announcing our wedding on Pati Patni Aur Panga is symbolic and personal. I've grown up in front of Colors' audience, and now, I want to celebrate this milestone with them too. To everyone who embraced me as the balika vadhu all those years ago, I now ask for your blessings as I become a real-life vadhu. This is my full-circle moment, and I'm so thankful I get to share it with the very people who shaped my journey.'

Kumkum Bhagya: Mumbai's surprise pour enhances Pranali Rathod and Namik Paul's romantic sequence
Sometimes, the most memorable moments on screen are the ones that aren't fully planned, and Kumkum Bhagya 's upcoming rain dance sequence is a perfect example. While the rain dance was already part of the storyline, what made it extra special was the unexpected downpour of real Mumbai rain during the shoot. The team embraced the rains, and it added a magical, unscripted layer to the moment. The natural rain blended beautifully with the mood of the scene, making it feel more authentic, romantic, and cinematic, something that no special effect could have achieved. Shooting the sequence wasn't easy, though. Pranali and Namik had to give multiple takes in the cold rain, and since it was their first romantic scene together, the pressure was on! The sequence took nearly 3 to 4 hours to shoot, pushing both actors to their physical limits. But their chemistry shone through, and the entire team, including the crew behind the scenes, worked in sync to pull off the challenging shoot smoothly. With safety measures in place and a shared passion to make the moment shine, what could've been a hurdle turned into a highlight of the show. Handsome Namik Paul said, 'The rain dance was always part of the plan, but what made it truly special was that the real Mumbai rain decided to join in! It wasn't timed or expected, but it just added to the mood and made the whole scene feel more alive. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 30 Beautiful women who lived 80-100 years ago Undo I genuinely enjoyed shooting it, even though we were drenched for 3–4 hours; it was quite fun. I've always loved dancing, and getting to do it in such a dramatic, rain-soaked setup was a total treat. Big shoutout to the crew, especially the camera team, for making every frame look stunning. Personally, I enjoy shooting in unpredictable conditions; it keeps things exciting and helps me grow as an actor.' Gorgeous Pranali Rathod said, 'This rain sequence was meticulously planned by the production team, direction team, and the creative team. They ensured everything was executed seamlessly. It was a demanding shoot, standing in the rain for a few hours tested our stamina, but it was entirely worth it. The sequence blends beautifully with the current show narrative, and since I have a soft spot for the monsoon season , I genuinely enjoyed bringing this moment and scenes to life on screen.' While Pranali Rathod and Namik Paul delivered their best performances during the rain sequence, the anticipation among fans is now at an all-time high as they eagerly await how this pivotal moment will shape the story ahead. With the talented cast and crew delivering such compelling performances and visuals, the upcoming episodes promise to be both visually stunning and emotionally gripping.
